apologies mantis, that crit glitch really screwed you over. the mage had to shut down that spirit 'fore it went rampant. not trying to dick on your plans deliberately but the NPC's need to behave realistically.

Ya no problem. I just made an opps I thought were going to stay out of their line of site, I guess I thought the ramp was sloped and they couldn't get a visual on us, so I made my move a few rounds too soon. OPPS

Hoping Knives can get that flash back to keep flashing might be a good distraction.

you still had to cross the street to get to the river bank and to the jetty.
Providing you get three hits on your defense test you'll make it to the ramp and break LoS (temporarily)

Thanks.  I sat here pondering for a while on taking full defense but with the luck we've had I'm happy to stay glued to the floor of this boat until we're long gone.

I moded my post since no one has posted since that last post, so I was had a bad feeling about how I worded my post so I took out the name Knives and put in my partner. I know I was a bit hasty on getting the post up so I forgot at first when being spyed on don't use any names.

busy couple of days working away with work. will get a full post up tomorrow night when i get home.
@sillasion, rank 3 means you're competent with most aspects of the skill, in this case you're absolutely fine asking for directions, ordering drinks/food/making small talk.
you'll need to roll for advanced stuff, like really technical or niche applications, or really detailed personal conversations, or dealing with heavy accents etc.
dont sweat the small stuff like shop interactions etc, for the most part i get by in france with about 5 sentences and a lot of pointing :-)
