I will admit I'm a bit perplexed as to what to do next.  Obviously we need to ditch our coms and get some burners but without a way to contact the Johnson we're stranded in a foreign land with no connections.

I assume when the call came in on the microtransceiver no com code showed up.

A microtransciever is just like a little earbud/headphone short range radio system. Whoever was using it on the other end would need to have been within a few hundred metres to 1km depending on ambient conditions and such

I still say we turn off our comm's so no one can track them, we KO the ork take him and dump him or we leave him. But we REALLY have to cut and run..... Well Knives you cut already grab your gear and lets start the run. Oh ya since you don't have a hole in your shoulder and last time I trying rigging I got KOed your the wheel man.


One thing I have a hardware kit from the run I can open each comm link up and change the comm code ID so we will seem to have a new comm code then we can't be traced..... as easily.

I'm kind of waiting on Knives to say what to do next since it seems you have the leader roll.

Sorry scawire, I'd assume that mantis is clever enough to know that if his comma has been hacked by th, that the ork's kit would be traceable too. Just don't wanna set you up for a fall

Me bad I didn't tell you but Mantis always has he Agent "Mr. Overwatch" running with his Ergonomic analyze on. I guess that was not known Me Bad.

So new plan send Mr. Overwatch and Slice MD to do a search through my comm kill anything inside of it. Then crack the copy protection send them over to the other two runners comms and kill anything on them. Then use the kit to change our Matrix foot prints by changing our Access ID so we seem like brand new comm on the 'trix.

CS any input on that would be great before I post what I'm doing IC.

Ok for later here is how Mr. Overwatch is being run from now on. He is always on running Analyze. Once he spots an intruder he alerts me, then goes on the attack with Armor and Attack. Well that is him, he is always on when the comm in on.

The 3 other ergonmic programs always running is Stealth, Encrypt, and Analyze. Unless I'm using Slicer MD then Encypt is dropped for Slicer MD's Stealth and if Slicer is using Browse Analyze is dropped.

If I am in public I don't run Stealth.

That is the 411 on how I run the Butler 2.0 on everyday usage. The Stealth is dropped in public, Analyze and Encrypt is dropped if Slicer needs the space.

I'll add this to my Character in the OOC section for easier to find at a later date.

Yea - Sorry I disappeared there on you    0 time at work or home until tonight.

Lumen's been sick (As he noted) so I've been on extra errand running for Holiday Prep and normal stuff on my own, with the Christmas "Oh our European offices are shutting down so everything's now urgent" issues at work so no free time there either.

@CS I should know how to turn off the wireless for these things so no one can track them right. If you want I can roll a Logic 7 + PuSHed 1 + Hardware 1 - Damage 2 = 7 dice, test to see just how well he can take the trace on us off line.

Any ideas what to do to turn off his wireless so they can move and not get tracked. Since with enouph time Mantis should figure it out. Also with a few test over time Mantis, I think would figure out how to ditch the trace. Below is my idea on what to do.

-My plan is to take out the signal chip.
-Run Mr. Overwatch to check my comm for unwanted agents, and log in access.
-Have Overwatch kill any agents, get Slicer MD to delete any access log in that are not Mantis's
-Hardware change the Access ID to give a new comm code (like an IP address) so we can't be tracked as easily.
-And see if Overwatch notices anything else fishy on the comm then deal with it depending on what it is.

Turning wireless off is super easy, to be sure though you'd want to put it in a WiFi inhibiting container or take the antennae out of the case. You'd need tools and wiring diagrams for the latter though as well as a hardware test.

As for the agent, remember he is only really low rating, don't expect much out of it, a rating 3 agent only has a dp of 6 remember!

It should be a dice pool of 9 (agent 3 (skill) + Analyze 6 (program)) the program is optimized so it runs at rating 6 but can work on all rating 3 devices.

Agents can only run programs capped at their own rating Iirc. Will double check rules just in case

You will have to check optimize since it runs as if it is a smaller rating so the rating 6 with optimize 3 runs as if it is a rating 3 program.
