Sorry for the hold up guys.  End of last week my mother-in-law ended up in the hospital then I had to go out of town on business Monday, just got back in today.  I thought I'd have time to get a post up while I was out of town but twelve hour work days really take it out of you.

Lol, well archery was never subject to any of the bans and there were plenty of light pistols that fell well within the avail boundaries. :-) some nice stuff there for archers actually, drones and gear is nifty too

I'm begining to wonder how the heck I'm going to solve my current situation. me vs five guys, two armed, one a mage, with a hostage, and all I have is a sporting rifle, and some spells with me likely to faint if I throw anything big.

One is awakened, not necessarily a mage and even if he was, there's nothing saying he's actually powerful. Not all resolutions rely on violence, some tact and negotiation could work, as could the Intimidation factor of sending in a squad of spirits. Nothing saying you even have to bail callie out, she might have called in support from elsewhere.

the flying eye can't make it back to the van. its hoverjets are too weak to deal with the strong gusty wind and it ran out of power trying to return to the van. Its in standby mode somewhere about 400-500 metres away.
an EWAR (2) test will let you triangulate its signal within 2m and create an ARO over it so you can find it in the meat.
the fly-spy is much better designed for outdoor flying and can be retrieved without a test, it'll land as near to the van as it can.

Is it unable to make it back even if I move to ground-the thing and have it roll over the drifts?  If that's the still the case I'll work on tracking the thing down.
