The bugs attacked because Opti had been doing some missions in Chicago, where bug spirits are nasty and prolific. So when he started talking about stuff he shouldn't, someone sent bugs after him. At least, that is what he keeps telling himself. It could be a random attack. But that couldn't be true.

The extra voices are still being worked out, so I hope to have them on again, but for quality control purposes (and time), they won't be an every episode thing.

I've really enjoyed these. I think the Critical Glitch guys were onto something when they described is kind of a late-night, old-school talk radio guy ranting. Which I mean in only the most complimentary way possible. :)

Catching up to this a few days late. Enjoyed the travelogue-like bits around Europe. And just about snorted my Coke Zero out my nose when you launched into "Istanbul, Not Constantinople".  8)

Great fun as always. But I couldn't quite make out the sing-along at the beginning - is that supposed to be the Mercurial song mentioned later?

hah, yeah. Its an easter egg for those who have played the Shadowrun Snes game. The music is from the soundtrack where Maria Mercurial is dancing and signing. The lyrics are from the overlayed lyrics as you go about talking to people.

This has been the BEST podcast for Shadowrun that I've heard.  Great for veterans and baby runners alike.  And a big thank you, Opti.  Our group loved the podcast so much  that you became part of our game universe.  The podcast became a part of "Nanny Aug's 15 minutes of culture."  (Nanny Aug is the local street doc/bar owner who insists on etiquette and good manners.)  So if the GM needs to tally and setup stuff or we frag something the GM was planning, our group listens to the Neo-Anarchist Podcast in game.  We keep the atmosphere and flow of the game and the GM is able to do some dice rolls or set up the next map!

I can't wait for the next episode!

P.S.  You're kind of inspiring me to keep a character journal!
