how does decking/rigging work in it?

Decking is more or less similar to normal combat as a  mage. Except that you have three rounds at the same time the rest of the world has one round. It's only used at specific jump-in points though, however it DOES allow for bonus nuyen.

I managed to play myself into an unwinnable situation though. Or at least a REALLY difficult one.

Didn't mean to slow the game down, fellas... Thought it was dying out right before that call for the civil engineering roll and since the last 3 games of mine died out I kinda assumed this one was heading to the gutter as well.  I'm back now and I'll resume checking the thread daily!
