The sudden dropping of the invisibility spell immediately renders you visible again, the already alert dunk clearly shocked by the sudden appearance of an armed man charging down the jetty p[ushes him over the edge.
Two taser darts narrowly shoot by your head, crackling and discharging their capacitors as they sail by your ears.

Knives can't help but glare with rage at Dunk after hearing the crackling darts so close to his noggin but after taking a second for him to come around he realizes Dunk was not the enemy.  He then holds up his blades non-threateningly, palms towards Dunk.  "I'm 'alf the reason you're out here mate and if the other 'alf doesn't get down here now we're gonna leave his bullocks to the fuzz.  You got any more darts, I'm fresh out."

Hearing the commotion Mantis is causing Knives looks for something near by the boat to take cover behind and draws a ceramic knife ready to throw at any MMU coming down the jetty.

Mantis's plan went a bit south. Drake I thought we were close enouph to the boat to be fine. I made my move too soon. With that Mantis decides he best leave the 2nd summoning to when he is on the boat and decides to go full defense as he RUNS to the boat then tries to take cover.

The urgency of the approaching footsteps gave wind to your stride, you bolt out of the cover of the corner across the open stretch of tarmac before you hit the river bank and the jetty down to the boat.

A thick scottish accent belied his heritage, relief evident on his face.
Fuck me, scared the shite outta me. Some spare shots in that crate mate.
We gotta go, Now. Yester-fucking-day. Where's your pal?

He gestures to the back of the boat, several hip-height equipment lockers and a loaded drone rack covered the rear deck, providing ample cover to hide behind.

Bolting out of cover, Mantis' aura glowed with the stresses and turmoil of the day's events.
The guard, needing greater accuracy, returns his perception to the real world and takes a shot at the fleeing perp

"Brill mate!  Other one should be right behind me."  Knives hops in the back of the boat and ducks down next to the crates.  He opens one up looking for darts of the right caliber.  In his AR display he keep careful track of Mantis' position ready to alert Dunk as soon as Mantis was on the boat.


I think this is how it would go down but let me know if you disagree CS.

The equipment chest you opened looked more like a military surplus store. all sorts of survival and diving gear was stashed in here. Several concussion grenades as well as a light pistol + two clips of ammo were stashed underneath a drysuit and re-breather. A yamaha pulsar taser and two packs of 10 darts accompanied them.
The thumping of feet on wooden planks startled you out of your search. The subtle distortion of the street light re-assured you it was Mantis, hurtling down the ramp to the jetty at full tilt.

___Mantis___
Sprinting at full tilt, you feel a grazing blow to your right thigh, some kind of dart richocheting off your bike armour and hitting the tarmac to the side of you.
You barely care, you can see the boat now, almost feel its throbbing engines and your imminent freedom.
You vault the metal barrier and hit the decking at full tilt, jumping into the centre of the boat between Dunk and Knives.

Feeling the boat rock with their new camouflaged arrival and Knives nod, he pulls his datajack and slams it into the console on the "bridge" area of the boat.
Almost immediately you feel the boat accelerate like hell, both engines kicking up huge tracts of white water. progress didn't occur until the small landing rope gave way with a huge crack, at which point you shot out into open water towards the ancient and looming tower bridge.

desperate to apprehend the fugitives, he snaps off a shot at Knives. The crack of the compressed air telling you this was no ordinary sport rifle.

Reaching the river bank shortly after the guard, he spots the boat departing the jetty and snaps off a shot with his pistol. The crack of the compressed air confirms he is using a similar weapon to his colleague.

The projectiles thunk loudly into the engines and hull of the boat and are swallowed up by the white water they kick up.
Your one fingered salute must have pissed them off as two more projectiles are launched in your direction, but both fall short.
You see the water rise in short, but fat, white plumes. They have a heavy ballistic trajectory and a low range. These weren't your standard issue conventional weapons.
Once clear of the jetty, Dunk really opens up the taps. The din from the engines is unreal, the nose of the boat rises, slamming your prone frame into the back of the engine housing guards.

___Mantis___
The sudden acceleration of the boat throws you to the floor, sliding backwards towards knives and the rear equipment storage.

You both end up intertangled in a heap at the back of the boat as you reach the ominously ancient tower bridge, looking distinctly georgian against the neomodern skyline of the square mile.

You take a second to breath, to let the adrenaline calm down, half expecting another onslaught to hit you. But it doesn't. You escaped.

Good work lads, combat ends. free to act as normal for the time being

Looks like we are out of the frying pan but have we landed in any fire best get a few things set in motion. Mantis first hooks up to the matrix sending a call to his bike to auto pilot it's self to the boat drop off spot.


If I don't know the drop off location I'll ask the driver then send the info to the bike brain


Once the message has been sent Mantis leaves the bike to meet at the drop off location. Ok I best do some astral checks to see if we have any unwanted trails. Mantis decides to do a first look with an easy spirit an watcher should do the job with a limit of 1 hour since he is already sporting more strain on his body then he would like.

Mantis starts to form mana in his solar-plex when he has enough mana gathered he expels the mana into a silver astral sphere that quickly takes shape into a silver eye ball with wings.

With the command sent to this mana constructed watcher and before he gets any bad news Mantis knows he better get ready for a fight. Since he is a Mystic not a full mage he needs spirits and they don't always come when you ask no matter how nice you are so best get his head back in the game. Mantis grabs his medkit and starts to go to work to get himself back to normal. Since he wants the best care he can get he does his best to guide the aid the medkit can give him.
