It didn't get put in the new core book.  It'll probably be in a Duffel Bag of Guns, or whatever CGL calls the guns splat book.

I really hope the next book they put out will have all of the weapons from the books they put out in SR4 and then after that start adding new weapons. I thought the HK416 looked pretty cool. I don't wanna have to wait till the end of the SR5 cycle to get it again.

Ditto. It's not like it'd take a lot of work to just go "Ok, here are all the assault rifles we released last edition. Slap on new damage code and equivalent special rules for any that have them, then put them all in one section." most of the fluff is already written so it's not a biggie to just copy-paste a bunch of the old stuff and update anything that needs it. Heck, the hard bit would be cutting down the fluff from gun haven and 2 to a few sentences.

Seems like a coin flip over whether the Defiance T250 or the Remington 990 make it into the core book.

I'm bloody (can I say bloody here? If not, terribly sorry.) loving the Cavalier Arms Crockett EBR sniper rifle. Longarms has seemed a bit of a poor cousin of Automatics to a certain extent, but that baby makes it a genuine rival IMO. Sexy picture too, in fact that goes for most of the pictures of the guns. Good job after the really shonky efforts in SR4A.
