Kuren exits his cab two blocks away from the address and pulls out his sensor and begins scanning as he approaches the apartment, making sure to get a clear shot of his associates.  He holds up his briefcase as he rejoins the group, "My apologies but now I'm ready to begin the investigation.  I must ask though that you all try to observe great caution inside.  Disturbing anything could greatly hinder our work."

You open the apartment's registry, looking for a Mizuki Kobayashi. To your surprise, nobody matches that name. You double-check the address on the envelope. Apartment 409. But the node clearly says that apartment 409 is being rented to a Fumiko Kawaguchi. (OOC: For your companions, give me an extended search test)

You find a move-in date, which sets it just under 20 years ago. There are no complaints about the tenant, nor any late payments. Besides this apartment, you don't find anything else related to Fumiko Kawaguchi

Your search in your teammates yields modest results: Yaibei seems to always work through the same fixer, which makes this run odd. Smiley looks like he got some issues in Denver. He now frequents "Jodie's Place" more often than the average regular. J used to work for SK-P in Tokyo until he got the boot not too long ago. As far as his street reputation goes, nothing is known. Mia is somewhat famous on the music scene. She has close ties to a MacTavish, which also makes her close to the Burning Stars, a small gang of burned slingers. As for Pipebomb, you find that he was originally from California, in San Francisco durin the Japanese events there. He seems to have moved to Japan shortly after the conflict "resolved". He specializes in explosives.

His messages come across more like a scientist documenting procedures than a runner talking to peers.

I'll need to drop my illusion, so i hope you don't mind Smiley, one moment," J sat on the ground, propped against a wall or Smiley's bike and dissolved his illusion, returning to his unwashed, homeless state, wearing an Urban Explorer Jumpsuit instead of his business clothes. He scanned his astral perception over the building, and providing nothing stands out, he projects and heads to the apartment to take a look inside. If the place is empty he will materialize and look around.

You take your spirit self to the other side and have a look at the whole building. You notice one Awakened soul, but it is an infant girl. She probably hasn't been tested yet, given her young age.

You then go into apartment 409 and take a look inside, not seeing anything unusual on the astral, except for shadows. You materialize and have a look inside, seeing nothing strange except for an apartment with nobody inside. A thorough search might reveal something of interest, but as far as you can tell, nothing seems unusual.

"Let's get the astral recon in then if you think you can pull it off, follow Mia's play so she can distract the meat, any security on the building you can take out for the blade, Kumen?"  Smiley is not comfortable with how he has started giving orders, but considering the alternative...he takes a nip from his flask to steady his nerves.

@AkiHey Cutie, so I am working, And it comes up that a certain autopsy report seems to be hard to get ahold of.  Not asking you to get it, though that would be INCREDIBLY helpful, but I do need to know who has it on lockdown.  If you can find that out, I will be yours to do with as you please for as long as you want to.
