Fischer placed the molotovs in the trunk and then headed to the address. Upon receiving J's second message, he added several more twists and turns to his already scenic style of navigation. He only parked two blocks away though, if he had to blow something up, he didn't want to have to trek too far to get back to his car. He decided to leave his supplies in the car until he knew exactly what he was dealing with. He hid in an alleyway across the street to scope out the building, looking for all the usual things.

The only plausible reason you can think of is it's a funeral home. Basically a metahuman-sized furnace, some storage units and a few rooms to expose the soon-to-be-burned.

As soon as Mia notices J on the move, she signals to her own kami to "rest easy little dude, i might need you soon". Trying to follow J thru the twists and turns of back alleys on her bike is a nightmare tho, so she hits the main drag and continues, and is only minutes away when the address comes thru.

You look at the wards from the outside, making a few laps around the building astrally to make sure you don't miss anything. As lacking as the physical security seems, the Astral one is inversely made. It doesn't seem like there are any seams for spirits or the awakened to get in or out without triggering something. Whomever did the Astral work knew what they were doing. You do notice the scriptures used for the wards are definitely attached to Shintoism.
