SR5 matrix still optical ?

SR5 matrix still optical ?

I wanted to know in SR5 are we still using optical computing or have we moved on to other forms of computing ?

Still looks to be optical WHEN it's hard wired. With all the Cloud fluff in SR5 there's a good possibility that a lot of things went wireless to exploit distributed processing seeing as how the new mechanics are so hoped up on the buzz word of the decade (cloud.)

I'm actually pretty happy how they've tried to keep things contemporary with commlinks (smartphones) and cyberdecks (tablets).

Still doesn't make it any less of a buzz word, which Shadowrun has a historic addiction to, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
