So I'm fine tuning my gear- but I can't always figure out what gun can have what mods. For instance, is an Ares Predator IV too big for a silencer? it doesn't -say- so, but it also doesn't say it CAN have one.

I assume you're talking about Modifications from Arsenal? I never heard about size-restraints myself, so I'd assume everything is allowed unless the GM rules it's not possible.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

By the way, wouldn't it be more logical that a gun is too small for an internal silencer, rather than too big?

are we talking about a normal external silencer or sound suppressor...?
should not be any problems unless maybe you used the barrel mount for something else (like a gas vent system)

Well, the thought was 'Huge caliber handgun is difficult to silence,' therefore I can't do it. xD 4 am logic.

Pistols cannot use Gas Vents, or bipods or various other things. You really need the book as a lot of Modifications are only useable on certain guns/fire-modes. Holdouts cannot be modified (unless specifically noted in the guns description I believe).

Holdouts can't take mount-accessories, but I am not familiar with a rule forbidding their modifications?

This.

"Holdouts cannot mount any accessories." - Arsenal, p. 20

modifications and accessories are two different things - modifications don't use mounts - so holdouts can't mount accessories, but you can modify them, where some guns, you can pile on a mess of both mods and accessories, filling up available mounts and modification capacity.
