Ultra hurled waves of code towards the two commlinks, the datastream forking and striking both Icons hard. It wouldn't stop the trucks but hopefully he could shut down their comms and prevent reinforcements heading in.

As the sniper in the bushes didn’t act, Mutumbo assumed he just went down from the shot. He turned the rifle towards the nearest truck, aimed for the driver, and pulled the trigger.

Mutumbo felt the shot hitting his body but mostly being stopped by his armored vest. The momentum of the shot, pushing him in a certain direction, indicated roughly from where it came. He turned in that direction with his gun, looking for the shooter, ready to pull the trigger immediately when he found her.

You quickly scan the area you believe you heard the shot come from, and manage to locate a second figure opposite the approaching trucks that must have circled around your camp without being spotted by the watch. You squeeze off a round quickly in that direction but it does not find its mark as you see a puff of dirt kick up in front of the prone figure.

Frenchy tries to locate the target his partner was firing at but fails to locate it. Judging that firing a single shot at the oncoming vehicles was unlikely to do much, he takes cover behind a medium sized rock.
