Everyone finds a place to bunk down for the night. In the middle of the night, a message comes through on your commlinks and stores in the queue until you access it in the morning. Included are the details of your pickup for Alzmer from the third birth in the international port and and a passcode allowing you access to docks between 845 and 1000. Attached to this message is a reminder from your fixer Asha that you will likely need to present identification as well when entering the docks.

The alarm went off at 06:00 and Johannes rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. A nervous and restless night meant he didnt exactly feel 100% this early in the morning. Concerns about the scarcity of information on the job and who they were likely to face had haunted his dreams. The message about the job was welcome though, at least he now had a plan to work to.
He hauled himself out of his warm cosy bed and dragged himself to the kitchen via the shower.
The auto-cooker had his breakfast ready whilst he was still drying his hair, double portions as he just didnt know when the next decent feed would be available.
He read the news feeds, re-read the message from Asha, supped his soycaf and headed back upstairs to suit up ready for the journey.
He checked and double checked his kit and last night's purchases, secured them in the back of the van and headed down to the meet, making sure everything wireless was either off, running silent or tied to his fake SiN + licenses as it should be.

<<To: team>>//Rise and shine boys and girls. We are set for today. I'm on my way in to the docks now//

Mlinzi's commlink alarm wakes her promptly at 0615. While the coffin hotel room was cramped, it was reasonably safe and allowed her to stay close to the docks. With a bit of difficulty due to the tiny space, the woman lays out and inventories her gear, making sure she has everything and that it is all in serviceable condition. As she accounts for her supplies, Mlinzi briefly considers the wasted time yesterday in attempting to develop additional detail about the docks. She wasn't a fan of going in blind, but she was less a fan of burning the run before it even started.

With the inventory complete, Mlinzi finishes dressing and secures all of her gear in an appropriate fashion. Her commlink chimes and she quickly reads Ultra's message. Verifying that her fake credentials are in order, she types out a quick message before heading out the door.

<<@Team [rohorafiki] Sounds good. Individual entry makes sense if one of us gets burned. See you there.>>

Frenchy scanned the docs with barely hooded eyes. The early morning traffic shouted and shouldered their way to the waiting ships. He cupped a disposable cup of soycaf that steamed in the chilly morning air and warmed his hands. Eyes open Francois. It's showtime, and as cagey as the Johnson is something was sure to go wrong.

His comlink buzzed with Ultra's message and he typed a quick response by hand.

in position near the docs. I'll cue on you when you get here.

Johannes pulled in a drive through Soycaf joint on his way in to Mombasa, letting the pilot do the hard yards in the morning traffic while he supped the steaming brew and re-read his search results on the Alzmer's from yesterday.
Finally approaching the docks, Ultra zapped over a message to Frenchy.
//to:Frenchy//<<Morning! I'm here now, I'm at the passenger terminal drop off area, not too far from the main gates. Hop in>>

You pile into the gopher and pull into line behind a flatbed being inspected by security. After about two minutes, the flatbed is waved through and as you pull up to the gate, the tire spikes raise from the ground. A human security guard in his mid thirties approaches from the driver's side, studying you with his cybereyes as three other guards, two orcs and a dwarf, look on from the security shack.

After a moment the guard finishes his initial summary and focuses on Johannes and asks for your documents

Johannes hands over the documentation he is asked for with a smile.
We're here to pick up a client from an inbound ship, should be docking soon.
I've got an R3 fake sin and will use that if you're scanning against it. its device rating x2 for the guards scanner with threshold of my fake sin (3). looks like that changed in sr5 too!

The man pauses for a moment as you assume he runs a check on the documentation and your identifications. As he is doing so, the two orcs find their way out of the guardhouse and walk around the vehicle, looking it over.

"Salamu" Mlinzi says as the guards circle the truck. She remains professional and courteous, but not overly friendly.

The orcs finish their walk around, checking the under carriage as they do so. Satisfied nothing is attached under the gopher, they peer under the tarp thrown in back, paying particular attention to Frenchy perched in the back as they do so.

After about three minutes, the spike strips in front of the truck descend and the guard to the side of the truck waves you through, forwarding routing information to the designated berth to Ultra's commlink that includes an impossible to miss warning to not venture outside the approved area. Attached is a schedule indicating that the ship in that berth, the Merchantman "Mærsk Mumbai," docked at 8:07 and has begun discharging cargo.

//Shit, they docked early. we're late.//
Johannes followed the route given to him, heading to the berth as hastily as the port traffic allowed him to go.

You find your way along the outer road within the docks, passing several deep sea cargo ships and row upon row of cargo containers. The drive takes about five minutes. As the designated birth comes into view, you see the side of the vessel emblazoned "Mærsk Mumbai." Somewhat smaller and sleeker than the other cargo ships you passed, it nonetheless is a towering vessel.

Workers are scattered around the area engaged in various tasks, though most are closer to the dockside where a pair of giant cranes is engaged in unloading  bulk containers from prow and midship.

As Ultra brings the Gopher to a halt, Mlinzi slides her perception to the Astral plane and takes a quick look around to familiarize herself with any entities currently patrolling. After a quick glance, she returns her senses to the mundane and hops out of the truck.

"Which one do you think is Alzmer?" The woman scans the area looking for anyone that looks out of place.

After suiting up and packing his gear, Mutumbo flagged a cab and got near the bridge where the others would leave the inner city area. No sense in taking more risks than necessary. He sent the coordinates to the others and sat in a bar for a coffee and some snacks.
