The ork looks surprised and distressed at the same time. "What do you mean, omae? You need a matrix guy, I'm your guy!" says Gigabits, repeatedly tapping his chest with his right hand. "I know the 'trix like the back of my hand."

Magpie nodded towards Patches, indicating they'd found another decker (he assumed) Even if that wasn't the case he'd take the chance to kick the man whilst he was down. Just for fun of course.

"You didn't make the cut, eh?" Magpie said, intense silver-grey eyes staring into those of the Chiphead.

"You win some, you lose some. An old boy like you knows dems tha kicks." He chuckled. Remembering he was still holding the drinks from earlier, Magpie took a sip of one of them and held it out to the chiphead Orc.

"Here's ya consolation prize. Now frag off an' stop annoyin' us."

The ork looks sideways at Magpie, annoyed. "I don't need your drink, Feathers." He turns around and walks a few steps before turning back once more. "Just know I'll remember this" are his parting words as he wanders off into the dance floor and is quickly lost in the crowd.

Kinkou takes a breath as the anticipatory adrenaline wore off
Thanks, you never know when a chiphead is going to go over the edge. Just keep your eye out for him yeah?
Nodding towards the old pint of lager, she said;
Ah, you can sling that now, it'll be warm and flat. We're on the scotch now. you joining us?

"He's a chiphead?" Magpie asked, raising an eyebrow

"Figgered there were some sort of bad vibes coming our way. Prob'ly 'armless. Those chips such the soul out of a man, make him weak." He nodded to himself, scratching his chin.

"But even Rat can hurt a man when he feels trapped, you get me? I'll keep my eyes open for that one. The rage has been redirected my way. I can deal." Dropping the lager onto a nearby table, he nodded at the idea of scotch.

As Patch remained still and calm during the whole interaction he wished he could help the poor guy, Obviously delusional this was no doubt going to be cause a complex in him mind and the way a chip head works it won;t be long before he obsesses further.
Shame the guys forced him off, maybe I could have helped? Doubt we've seen the last of him somehow though...
watching him storm off Alexander turned tom his new comrades...

So feathers, what was it i saw you trying to slip into kinkou's drink here? and whats your name for that matter?

Kinkou is visibly shocked at Patch's comment, she does her best to discern whether this was an in-joke or an accusation.

Maggie raised his eye at the accusation. Had the dude seen him playing with his baggie and come to the complete wrong conclusion?

"I ain't slipped anythin' anywhere." he said, honestly.

"That'd be a waste o' time fer a fella with mojo, eh, chummer?" The idea that all mages could control minds was still a pretty common memento amongst those magically uneducated. Of course, that was something Raven favoured, so even the magically educated would realise there was some truth behind the Shaman's words.

"No messages were left behind" says the woman before holding her breath. You can see this is an attempt at controlling her emotions. When she composes herself, she continues with "Knight Errand left me a copy of their report if you want. That and ¥20,000 is all I can give you, really."

@Kinkou "Good work.  Do me a favour and get the vet to look into a Harold Cooper, would you?  Died recently in an apparent suicide; additionally, any information on a daughter would be useful here."

"Hm.  Trouble is, I've got a team of four assembled here, and after expenses 20k split four ways doesn't come to all that much as these things go, especially for wetwork - and that's a pretty heavy thing to be taking to these guys as it is, you know?  Getting to the bottom of this isn't exactly sounding like a small job, either; someone's going to be very invested in keeping it quiet, probably bribed KE for those purposes already.  If I'm gonna keep these guys on board, I'll need to go to them with something that's going to justify the risk."  He was walking a bit of a tightrope here, balancing presenting himself as being on her side with this against his own interests; he'd realized, though, that his best tack here was playing the role of the fixer.  By keeping the meet just between the two of them, he could present any concerns of his as those of the anonymous-to-her team, and make like he was forming a barrier to protect her from the rigours of his world.  I really should look at sidelining as a fixer; expect I'd be pretty good at it, really.

Miss Cooper looks at Shark, then seems to think for a moment. "I guess I could sell a few things... ¥22,500 would be the most I could do. I can give you ¥5,000 up front though" says the woman as she looks through her purse and pulls out a credstick. She hands it over to Shark along with a chip, expecting this would conclude that part of business. "Here is the KE report I got. My comm code is on it, so please contact me when the matter is settled. I really do wish this to be done as soon as possible."

With that, the woman stands up and is ready to leave, waiting for Shark's cue to leave the room.

Looks like we've got a target, Harold cooper. Recent death, apparent suicide. {Nodding at patch} looks like one for you, any chance you can check out the credentials? Looks like our johnson is his daughter. Background checks on her too then I guess..

Hearing and seeing the shock in 'feathers' response and the obvious shock of kinkou it was apparent that Alexander had missed something obvious. With a tired look on his face Alexander starts to question his own eyes Did i really see him slip her something?

Yeah guess it would be a  waste of time,
Sorry about the accusation, Guess i'm a bit out it.

Had a very long day.....

So whats your name chummer?

Getting anxious about the job he probes his new team further.

Harold Cooper and daughter... I'll get searching in a bit,
Just want to meet the rest of the front man and clear up a few details, I mean do we even know anything about the job yet?
Like how much we're getting paid

Magpie grinned wide.

"Don't worry, chummer. I ain't offended. I try to take these things with a grain o' salt. Lotta bad people out on dese streets, yeah." He nodded.

"My name? I like Feathers, actually. I've been called it enough tonight that I think I will keep it." He pulled his coat outwards as if a pair of wings, covered in feathers as it was.

"Yeah, I t'ink it fits me well,"

He's not mentioned it yet which makes me think that aspect of business is still being finalised
Kinkou takes a swig of the scotch and motions to the barman to get one in for Feathers.

"I'll find a way to keep everyone in play; you'll here from me when business is settled."  He nodded to her, knowing that she was waiting for some indication before she left.  He waited a minute after he heard the door close - giving her time to exit the bar - before getting up to clear the team with the bouncer to come back and join him.

@Kinkou <<Johnson's out the door.  Troll by the door to backstage should be expecting you, figure it's better for us to talk back here than out there.>>
