{nodding at the well dressed woman leaving the back room} Guys, that's our Johnson. When she's gone we head to the back room to talk business.
Kinkou grabs a drink for Shark and heads over to the door guarded by the troll.
We need to get into the back room, apparently you're expecting us..

The troll looks at Kinkou and the rest of the crew, mentally ticking a list. "Go right on ahead, first door on your left." He moves over and lets the trio in before closing the door behind the last person entering, leaving you in the dimly lit hallway.

Kinkou leads the way; opening the door and taking a seat at the table next to Shark.
Shark, we've got Patch here and this is Feathers. Got you a scotch, fancy bringing us up to speed?

"Thanks for the drink.  Basically, Johnson's father died recently, KE ruled it a suicide, she doesn't think that's what happened.  Wants us to figure out what really happened, and then she wants revenge.  Payday's only 22,500 in sum, 5000 up front, but I'm willing to bet there's more to be had in all this."

Magpie raised an eyebrow, and looked at shark, mouthing aloud doing the maths; working out how much money they would each be getting. Whether it would be enough to keep his house, and keep him psyched. Obviously, he figured it would be.

The promise of something extra kept him interested. Hell, the idea of work and showing off a little was enough for the Shaman. Magpie was not a particularly cerebral figure, but he knew what he liked and wanted out of life. Money was good for Magpie and his people. As was the chance to exercise his powers; but on that front he had a concern.

"Far be it from me to question why I am here beyond the need for any smart man to have magical back up, but so far it don't look like dere's much use fer my mojo. We know anyt'ing about the body? How it was found - wether 'e'd 'ave enemies who'd be willin' ter use the arts against 'im?"

As for your mojo, we don't know who this guy was mixed up with. Obviously it can't be your friendly local greengrocer if we're suspecting murder..

"Got the report here for what it's worth; figured on getting the vet here to look it over and find out if the body's still intact, maybe take a look at that.  As for the mojo, no idea what we're dealing with here, but it might help to know what you can do."

Magpie nodded. It made sense after all. There were a lot of different spells out there.

"Raven is me man, 'e's taught me all sorts'a useful stuff. Callin' lightnin'. Shieldin' people from spell an' bullets. movin' an' throwing things aroun' flyin' if I wanna fly. " He chuckled, raising his arms when he talked of flight.

"Pretty diverse, I like to think. I can't heal or cloud minds - yet - but I can plant thoughts in fellas heads if I want ta." He glanced at Patch. He wasn't lying about the mind control, but his was the subtle kind that wormed it's way into a mans head rather than the puppeteering of the mages in the trids. Fast way to get yourself shot, that.

" I can summon th' spirits o' nature and of man, but I don't bind and I don't banish. If they turn nasty on me, i'll dispose of 'em by other means. I got strong mojo, but Raven ain't taught me the finer aspect o' control. I like ta' think i'm pretty adaptable an' that I can keep chummers safe from th' things tha' go bump in the night."

Kinkou perked up at the mention of mind control.
That might come in mighty handy when we're convincing people to talk.

"Don't usually need help getting people to talk." He leaned back and chuckled confidently.  "Still, a simple nudge or two in the right place can be good for a lot."

Magpie chuckled and changed the subject, sipping on his scotch.

"So, we got magic, a face an' a medic computer type fella." He indicated Patch with a wave of his hand. He then looked at Kinkou.

"What dyou do, other than have great taste in music?" At that, he nodded to all of the badges on her jacket.

Seeing the group and finally meeting the face 'Shark' it was clear to see where he got his name from, his poker face was impressive to say the least. He listened to the job and thought to himself Seems simple enough, plenty of freedom, pay will keep surgery going for a few months, why not?

Yeah I'll give the report the once over, just send it on,

Are there any time limits or other restrictions we are bound by then Mr Shark?
I mean if I could get a good nights rest before looking too hard it would be helpful as I spent most of today taking bullets out of someone.

Kinkous smiled, admiring her jacket as she took the compliment.
I do a bit of everything, but getting into places is my thing. I'm a free runner.

"Timeline isn't really specific, but she did say she wanted things resolved as soon as possible.  Nothing wrong with grabbing some rest, Doc, but if you could get me that info on Harold Cooper and his family ASAP, I'd appreciate it - was actually hoping to get that before negotiations ended, but things drew to a close before there was any chance of that anyways.  Either way, I still need to vet her," And the two of you, for that matter, he didn't say but certainly thought "Given that none of this was arranged through a fixer.  So anything you can dig up would be helpful on that front, and give us a start on figuring out what happened."  He'd started putting a mental list together as to what kind of hand he was playing with here, but needed to fill in a few blanks.

"Now, Kinkou and I have worked together before, so I think I've got a pretty good idea what all she can do.  As for you two, though, I'm a little less sure...  Is it basically just the medical and hacking stuff with you, Patch?  Do any sort of rigging or anything?  You do much of anything besides the mojo, Mag?  How are you guys if a fight happens?"

"Yeah, you look like yer pretty flexible. I like ta think i'm a little athletic myself, but when Raven let's ya fly wi' him, well, yer don't think so much about keepin' yerself in top shape, y'know? Maybe after this job you can gimme a work out." Magpie grinned at Kinkou, before turning attention to Shark.

"I'm a bit o' a night bird, so I can start askin' around as soon as if yer like. As for my skills; Well, I can handle myself if need be, but the main focus is on the mojo." Magpie admitted.

"It takes a lotta concentration ta make sure you don't accidentally summon somethin' from the dark depths o' the astral, y'know. I was always better at talking myself outta trouble than fighting, but I lived in the barrens for long enough that I know my way around the streets."
