It was a welcome comfort to Alexander to see someone taking control he wasn't much of a leader and this shark fellow certainly was. he was asking the right questions too giving him an heir of confidence in his abilities and the healthy paranoia that kept runners alive. It reminded him of the relationship he used to have with his old friend before Bogota and the rivers of blood...I like this guy, must make sure not to mess this gig up

Yes medical is certainly my area of expertise, in fact I have a street surgery just a couple of blocks over. The trix and I always did agree and while I'm no expert I can certainly hold my own against those cops spider types. I've learnt to rig out of necessity, down in Bogota I ran all the support functions for the team from logistics medical, surveillance you name it. lost most of my gear on the way back and need to rebuild the inventory but I still have a few toys in my arsenal.

Combat and me however don't mix, I always prefer to not do combat and having seen more than my fair share of wounds you can be sure I don't go seeking it out either. I'll defend myself if needed and my trusty Taser hasn't let me down so far.

Now let me see what I can get you on the Cooper's before I go...

Alexander reaches into his coat and lifts out his Airware loading up the browse program, to find out all he can on the Cooper pair. Opening an AR window in his image link he sits patiently in the room navigating the myriad of events out there on the 'trix.

You surf the matrix, searching in the usual spots before going on the roads less travelled. The most recent article you find, dated less than two days ago, talks about SFT (Seattle Future Technologies), Ares' biggest weapons contractor, undergoing restructuring after the owner, Harold Cooper, committed suicide.

A different article, dated 5 days ago, talks about SFT being in talks with another weapons company (California Arms) about a possible merger. It also says that SFT had borrowed money to work on some project, but the project wasn't advancing like it should have and the debt was forcing the owner's hand.

You find snippets here and there concerning the Coopers, and you gather that Mrs Cooper passed away 5 years ago from cancer, and miss Cooper is an only child. Neither of them were involved in the company.

Finally, you find a footnote somewhere saying Mr. Cooper will have a private funeral tomorrow.

Alexander downloads the data to a chip and casually slides in to the middle of the table before speaking again

Initial glance over the information suggest foul play,
there's too much coincidence with these business dealings and the timing of the death,
and in my experience believing in coincidence is either naivety or ignorance.
...
The Funeral for Mr Cooper is tomorrow, a private function will dig a little deeper on that one try to find a location.

Returning to his AR display he probes deeper into the details of the funeral making sure to note the ID's of Nodes as he goes.

Magpie scratched his head, nodding at the new information. He did not move to take the chip, trusting that someone would disseminate it for his information. It wasn't that he didn't trust computers so much as he saw very little use for them, even with the every present matrix.

"If one of you can get me inta th' funeral, I might be able ter assense the folk attending. Read their emotions; see if anyone is trying to hide anything." He suggested.

"You cannot hide your feelings from a man who can read your soul." He grinned.

You look into the Matrix once more, but this time you're very precise about what you want. You move past a lot of garbage information until you find exactly what you're looking for: the funeral will be held at 10:00 tomorrow morning, at the "Other Gate" funeral home. The address for the place is provided and a basic search shows you it is not so far from the Cooper residence.

"Hate to say it, Mags, but you can't be going to that funeral.  You're too damn obvious, and Miss Cooper will definitely recognize you and have you tossed out, given how you acted tonight.  But then again, you don't have to be there physically, do you?  Couldn't you do your thing from the Astral plane or whatever?  Either that, or if I can get eyes on, I've got a pretty good eye for reading people."  He mulled things over for a second - there wasn't really a fighter in the bunch; he could hold things down in a firefight pretty well himself, but even so he didn't consider himself much of a Street Sam or anything of the like.

"I've been assuming that the motive for whatever happened had to do with the merger...  If we can get a list of funeral attendees, we might be able to figure out who would benefit from this."
