No, she is fully aware that it was his waffle-stomper that went upside her head.  She might not be aware of the situation enough to realize he is in a bad way at the moment, but she knows he kicked her.  The was probably something like a oops, or whoa or aw shit that happened as well.

Right, I'm gonna try to get the Matrix side caught up to the meat side real quick here, but I'd like to clarify an assumption - specifically, that the jammer is operating in hidden mode.  I've mined through the references to jamming (man, PDF rulebooks are handy for that), and the rules are silent on whether or not its possible.  I could argue either way, really, but a ruling on the subject (and a declaration on whether or not the jammer is "visible") would be much appreciated.

From what I know of those things, it doesn't even have to be connected to the matrix (it's a seperate piece of equipment).  It's just a device that generates a lot of signals, thereby blocking the ones you need by overloading them (at least, that's how airplane jammers work).  The jammer has to be in the same room though, as otherwise it will not be as efficient.  And if you activate one on the Seattle streets, you will quickly have a lot of police checking things out.

On the other hand, since it does send out a lot of signal noise, you should be able to home in on it (again, this comes from airplane jammers, where I know there exist missiles who have a 'home on jammer signal' function, where they fly towards the electric noise and then explode).

AFB right now, but as I recall it would at least have to be wireless to be able to exclude their stuff - as far as the rules go, at least.

I am saying you can't hide a jammer like this, or hide the source of it.  It is a bubble and the jammer is at the center of it.  The devices of this type are usually fire and forget type gear, but I would agree there could be a wireless signal attached to it, but not likely.

Small rules note on that point, actually (now that I can actually look it up):

damaging the jammer, or virtually by hacking or spoo ng the device

And, again, if it lacks a wireless signal, I'm not sure how it would be able to exclude their own devices (which, per the Jam Signals Matrix Action, is a normal capability).

It's a bit of an important question because, really, it determines whether or not Fionn can contribute anything here.  In this situation, at best he can do is get comms back and keep them online, but to do that he's got to take the jammer down (and between Clem being otherwise engaged, and his lacking any sensors to be able to correlate the jammer to a physical object, I kinda doubt he'd even be able to get Clem to take it out).

Well, there ya go then.  I really gotta remember how pervasive the wireless word really is.  I still say that it is ridiculous for the jammer to be operating in a hidden mode though when it is active so that is still the case.

willpower 4 + logic 4 + centering 1 =9 (9d6.hits(5)=2)

That's 1S for Sammy and 7S+net hits for the guy in front of me.  He can do willpower + counterspell roll, needing 6 hits.
