I am not sure how much time I am eating up with the extended search as it appears to be a GM choice of time interval.  I have rolled for three intervals so far.

Also, I guess my knowledge about White Knight is now irrelevant.  Or maybe not.  We might go and have a look at his house or hangouts.  Another option is to track who's behind Bacchus and his money making scheme as I agree that it's probably not his idea to start with.

And always remember this piece of wisdom from countless detective series: when in doubt, check who benefits from the crime.

The job was to see if our previous run was connected to Daee's death; it isn't. The Johnson specifically said he doesn't care about stopping the killer, just figuring out how they got to Daee. We were hired to follow the lead the cops didn't have, we did. There was no clause about it having to not be a dead end.

You have a point, but let's first see if we can squeeze a few more names out of Bacchus.  Somewhere in that scheme is probably someone with a reputation to protect and then we can either squeeze that person for some money to keep silent or do the same to Mr. J to give him the name.

But we still don't know how the killer (killers) got to them. We only know that Bacchus is clueless so far, which doesn't exclude the possibility he might have inadvertently leaked info on Daee/Whyte.
