apologies if this is a dumb question, but where are we actually extracting these guys to?. Also there's been no talk of the husband so I assume he's not going to be too happy about it. Any idea of their security detail?

@Derren She looks at you, "Tir Tangere, and no, the husband doesn't know. I know the wife and son are always accompanied by their bodyguards  So at least one of the people meeting her needs to pretend to be an "an old friend from her university days" to give her a reason to stop at your table and "catch up" and send the bodyguard away for a few minutes. House is on a private grid and has quite a lot of security both physical and matrix. You can be sure they're watched 24/7."

@James Turning to look at you she is sardonic, "And if I knew that the azzies knew that something was off I wouldn't be using a crew of whom I've only heard about a few of your reputations and I'd charge four times more."

@Shade "I've arranged for four different vehicles for this so that you can transfer them several times, but of course I'm also expecting the decker to disable a few security camera's at the right times. I'll expect you to know places to cross as well as who to talk to make sure people are looking the other way when you do so. Your former employer did a lot of business across borders so I'm quite sure your familiar with this kinda party."

@the party "If you'd like you can use this place as a temporary base of operations for this job. The lockers can be keyed to each of you so that you can stash a few things here. There's enough traffic in and out of the area that you won't be to noticeable. The feed is secure and encrypted so that you can work. There's a bit of soundproofing on the walls but don't have any arguments as it's not that thick on a temporary base. The security camera's are on the bay next door, in here, on the lanes outside and on the gate." She looks at each of you, dead serious, "I take good care of my crews, and I expect a lot of professional courtesy in return. Don't double cross me, or try to do an end run around and work out private deals with the mark." "Do we have an agreement. Gentlemen." that last word is said with a bit of a sardonic lift to her eyebrow as she looks around at all of you.

@The Professor Your comm buzzes with a message <<Professor, good to hear from you. Currently on a dig in Egypt, but I'm looking forward to StarCon in October. Perhaps we can meet then and catch up.>>

I'm in in principle, subject to the usual negotiations and fine details. It sounds doable. Do we have any provisions for safe houses post-run, cos it sounds like you need a replacement team for the long run?

@Derren "I've got safe bases scattered in over a dozen places. Like I said, I take care of my crews. Anyplace I direct you to will have this level of equipment as an absolute bare minimum." she says gesturing around you. "You'll have the ability to set-up your own arrangements anywhere I send you. I expect my crews to be able to think on their feet. Yes, I have contacts all over the place, and I will absolutely use them on your behalf. But I don't want to have to fix stupid if you follow me chummers." she gives each of you a hard look at that.

@James preliminary data on your search turns up >>ALFA, Estética, Grupo Inbursa y Bradesco, Mexichem y Mágicas, Mil Milagros, Natura Cosmeticos, Nueva Vida.<< A cross referenced search of Denver addresses reveals several of them clustered in the Golden Triangle, and area of Denver for high tech corp's. The others are scattered throughout Denver most of them in more industrial area's. Your comm buzzes back,It's a prerecorded message >>This is Firebug. I am otherwise occupied atm, and it goes without sayin' that I'm not at all indisposed ;) I'll get back to you when I get out of whatever position I'm in atm, or a few positions later>>

Yeah we understand, we know a guy this big is gonna have astral security so we're gonna need to bring in a specialist on this. They don't come cheap and the split is already kinda tight, considering we've got borders to hop too. We'd like to see the pay nearer the 65k mark to make sure the lights stay on so to speak..

@Derren She looks at you, and her face tightens just a hair, "The amount takes into account that I've already provided vehicles, a work station and the lights. When you factor all that into account I'm sure you'll see that 50k is more than fair. But, since you mentioned it, you will need a mage. Considering the direction of their current research the magical security is bound to be tight. Tell you what, I know a guy, decent mage, but more than that can keep his head in a fight and schmooze with the best of them, he blends in in a lot of situations. I'll call him, put out a feeler, I get him to come in, his cut comes out of mine. I can't get him and you have to call one of your guys, I'll increase the pay to 60k." You can tell she was expecting this, and respects that you know how to play the game.

She looks down out her comm and puts out a call, >>Loki, I got a simple job helping a couple of drekkers putting on a party for a kid. They seem to want a third rate magic act cheap. You want the job I can tell 'em you can be avail. for 800.<< When you get the message you know that 800 is code for 8,000.

Loki strolled down the street having just picked up a nice, juicy (hopefully) soy-burger off a corner street vendor when the text message came in from Siren. "Woah, 8k, the hell are these chummers onto? And did she just call me third rate? Pfff, the nerve..."

//Compose message to Siren
//"Siren, you know I am in your debt for helping me get out of the place that time; I am forever your milessaratish. But, even bondsmen must eat in order to be able to fully perform to their potential, and I am very hungry. Besides, you know I'm better than a third-string quarterback who's suddenly been put on the field during the season's kick-off game; throw in another 200 for an exquisite meal, and I'll blow this child's mind. Figuratively, of course. Let me know when and where they need the entertainer.

PS: I'd show you just how good I really am if you'd just let me. I may be young and inexperienced but I'm very, very persistent *grins*. When are you going to let me buy you that shot of Taéngelé, sweet temptress...
//Send message

Satisfied with the message, he sent it off and finished the burger before turning around and heading back to his small apartment. Might as well bring all the gear he had, no knowing when a payday like this would come along again.

Back inside the apartment, Loki stuffed his various reagents into his survival kit, keeping some at hand in the various pockets he'd sewn into his clothing, and quickly fingered the pendant hanging around his neck just to feel it's comforting presence. He slipped the trode net under his ball cap and put it on his head after pulling his half-face mask down over his head. He checked the narcojet darts lining the hidden pockets in his coat, making sure he could reach them on a moments notice, and was out the door (making sure to lock it behind him) in time for Siren's response.

"Ah wonderful, we get to use this place then?" he asks glancing around again "I might be able to whip up some sort something. Oh and you can't fix stupid. Believe me I tried. Wasn't pretty not at all. Though maybe I didn't have a enough mayonnaise. he remarks, moving around the shop to see what sort of materials where available in this location, and tools.

"So if we're going to get start getting ready, I can begin using these things here right?"

@The Professor "Like I said, if your good you can play with my toys." the grin is sly, She knows good equipment is temptation enough for some.

@Loki <<I'll let 'em know you're in. They're on short notice so they can't be to picky about the price. 3rd & Martin #9, now, so you have time to get into your Pickachu costume. And if I wanted them still in their short pants I've had better looking offers.<<

@the party "I've got a mage coming. I trust that that makes the 50k more than acceptable?"

Ok, that sounds reasonable. he said with a quick flicker of his eyebrows to ask the teams consent.
You mentioned reasonable expenses earlier, what exactly counts as "reasonable" in your eyes?

"Ah excellent" he says moving around to pick up various nick-nacks, like wires and sparkplugs and other things available to him, moving to a table shortly after to begin working on thingy. In truth though, if given time, he was going to start compiling another datasprite, and then register it. "Now if you'll excuse me for a few hours, I'll get prepared to assist in the extraction.

@ the party "Any special tools you truly need for the job are reasonable. I expect you to already have your own weapons and tools of your trade. That's a reasonable expectation on my part." "Ammo is a reasonable expense, a case is not." "If there's a STR1000K Ares model lock, well then you get to buy the lockpick for that, but I own it afterwards." "Speaking of which, any specialty items like that ask me first as I may already have one you can borrow." "You truly need to rent a plane because the one I got for you is having engine problems, that's a reasonable expense." "You get mine shot up, I take it out of your hide." she gives you all a hard look of warning on that. "There's a border crossing involved and I've already covered that with the Johnson as an expense for the fake SIN's and licenses at a rating 3. If you can save me & her that then I've already told her that I pass that savings on to you as a 10% bonus in your pay as a reasonable expense on her part." "That sort of thing buys me, and therefore you, goodwill. And saves her 90%." another hard look all around. "However, there is no pay if they're dead. So, don't take undue risks just for an extra 10% you copy?" She looks around at all of you for signs of understanding.
