Snow nods at Sammy's remarks.  "And I bet that if someone gets to be a popular Pito star that lots of people will try to copy their look."  She sets her Pito for the delay and waits for Clem to return.  When she does, Snow will go and walk around her.  "Clem, you look so different.  You had some great ideas.  Me, I had to have her give me the ideas.  I went in for a quick hair dye and some contacts and came out like this."

She looks around at everyone.  "We all look so different that I doubt that anyone in Seattle would recognize us."  She goes to talk to O'Connor.  "Say, Con, got to love the sexy scar.  Anyway, my guy got back to me and said that he will pick me up at the hotel and you can follow us over. He is taking me to the Data Haven.  I am putting an ARO of the address on your 'link in case we get separated or it takes you a while to get a car.  I wonder if we could arrange for a car to be delivered to the hotel so it could be waiting for you?"

"Oooh.  That reminds me.  I should send him a current pic so he knows what he is getting.  Can you take a picture of me with your 'link and send it to mine, please?"  Snow will send the photo off to Crenshaw.  <Hey good looking.  Thought I would send a photo of the new me just in case you want to bail on the evening.  If I don't hear from you in a negative way, I will be waiting at the hotel.  Ta.>

Then it is back to net security and guard duty for the rest of the afternoon.

"The point was to look different and unrecognizable, right?" said Clem to Snow's remark. "Now you can record all you want and I don't care what you capture."

Everyone is comfortable with maintaining there look, though O'Connor should probably make sure Sammy helps him with the scar, the looks are good for regular wear, or normal exertion, but the dwarf warns that the looks will not survive *looking at Snow* extreme personal activity.

Snow gets a fast reply to her text, <WOW!  Very nice, I am definitely looking forward to tonight, and I made a point of inviting out a friend who should know the people you are looking for.>

O'Connor is able to arrange for a rental to be brought to the hotel, a Spirit for 50 nuyen a day, for his use.

Once everyone is settled, filming for the day ends shortly after and the team leaves the studio as the sun is setting.

O'Connor gave a whistle as Snow approached the group, "Lookin' good, Snow. May need to steal you away for myself tonight." Once Clem returned, O'Connor turned away to hide the mixture of horror and confusion etched on his face. Only after schooling his expression did he turn back to the group. The name of the club Snow gave did not raise O'Connor's hopes for the night. He looked over the address and gave Snow a resigned nod, "I do hope your new friend comes through on those upgrades, for his sake."

Once done for the day, O'Connor returned his rifle to the team's crate. He held onto his other weapons, plus spare clips. Back at the hotel, he placed the machine pistol and its spare clips in the glove box of the new rental.

The end of filming for the day only signaled the start of the second part of their day for Clem. She was aware that this place they were going would most probably be very strict in terms of weapons, so she decided to only bring her stun baton with her. Her katana was already at the hotel, so she decided to leave all her guns at the studio and waited for Sammy and Torley in order to go get a dress for the club.

Snow laughs at the Dwarf's comment.  "I am pretty sure that I will be involved in some 'extreme personal activity' tonight.  Will I need to come back tomorrow to get this refreshed or can you show me how to repair the damage?"

She nods to O'Connor.  "Thank you very much.  It is striking, is it not?"

After Clem gets back Snow will give her a thumbs up and say, "Very nice, Boss.  And I just got a note from Cavendish.  He says that he has lined some people up that should be able to help me.  Looks like a win.  And Con?  Remember that nerd girls like action people, but polite action people that smell nice."

Snow joins the others and places her Predator in the group box.  Once back at the hotel she takes a quick shower and gets dressed.  She swaps a nice pair of slacks and sleeveless blouse for the jeans and tee.  The Vory tats circling her arms are quite visible, but only someone with knowledge of the Vory would recognize them for that.  Anyone else would just think that they were simply old Russian sayings.  The rest of the tats are concealed by the blouse.  She finishes off with a smart blazer that she can easily remove.  She relocates the various parts of her special pistol as accent pieces or in her clutch.  She adds a small bit of scent to wrists, neck, and cleavage then makes a final mirror check before going down to the lobby, carrying her blazer oven her right arm.  She finds a place to sit and wait for her ride.

It had been quite boring for Sammy, as she was used to having a bigger part in these proceedings.  She would leave her pistol at the hotel and only take her taser, which was only a weapon to have a visible weapon, as she could do a lot more damage without it.
"We have some time," she said to the others, "I just need a bath and a change of clothes.  Anybody needs something else?"

"I'm sure we can find something here," Sammy said, "but first, what do you have and what do you think you need?"

Clementine will definitely need a shopping trip, her outrageous new look will simply not go with the subdued clothing she brought with, even the high end stuff.

Fortunately, the Alternate Hotel is in the midst of a shopping district, and while it isn’t Rodeo Drive, you can find some nice looks.  Actually, considering that what little is left of Rodeo Drive is toxic beachfront property; this area has it beat all hollow.

You have a “Pretty Woman” moment, as one of the higher end shops is not really interested in catering to a couple of minority Ork women, but depending on what you want to spend, clothing is available at regular and tres chic levels, there is even a shop where you can find some nice looks made with ballistic cloth, though it is not high end.  (Clem can spend what she likes on clothing up to 1000 nuyen for outfits, the low end stuff can be Armored as you wish, just spend the money and you have it)

There’s only one road you can take to The End of the World. After the Twins, what used to be a through road and intersection became a dead end overlooking a twenty-five-meter cliff face.

You drive up the winding road into the Hollywood hills. Up here, the haze and light pollution blocks your view of the stars, but below, Los Angeles looks just as pretty as any galaxy. After ten minutes, you arrive on a stretch of road that ends in a cul-de-sac on a cliff. There are several other cars here; expensive looking cars, but not pimped out. The view is breathtaking, with an unobstructed look over L.A. A warm breeze takes the slight chill out of the night air. Off to the far right is the Hollywood sign.

The End of the World is a high-class, single-story building. The grounds are dark, except for subdued yellow lighting along the sidewalk and over the door. The building is perched partially over the edge with serious reinforcement. As you approach the club, two “walls” step out of the shadows. One of these burly troll security guards lights a cigarette, illuminating his face. Apparently even the guards go for a little cosmetic surgery. The lighting over the door brightens a little so you can now see both guards well enough.

“Invitations please,” asks the first guard. As you present the invitation, there’s a loud buzz in the distance followed by a pop and flash of light.

“Glitterati drone,” says the second guard in answer to your unspoken question.

“Go on in sir,…ladies.” says the first guard, opening the door and handing back the invitation.

Inside, you see that the place has a classy look with brown colors and faux-wood furniture. This contrasts with the placement of jagged black stripes and irregular black spots. The AR has two overlay channels. One replaces the black with a view of the aftermath of the quakes from the perspective inside the club. The other is a present-day view. Looks like the place was in fairly bad shape after the quake, and someone recorded the moment.

Many people wander around; waiters serve entrees and drinks while the guests circulate among dozens of sitting areas. You can see Alexi Summers, who just brought out a new line of urban tribal for Evo, and Anthony Pardes with an armful of women. The other guests acknowledge your existence with cool greetings and empty small talk. Apparently you aren’t high enough on the Pito scale for a full conversation. You overhear tidbits of conversations: producers throwing out ideas for the next blockbuster, an assortment of rumors, and a slightly heated argument over whether Teiko’s next album, Lollipop Dreams, will beat out Chrisy Daee’s Sunny Daee at this year’s awards.

Sam had left his guns at the hotel, but still had his walking stick. Flanked by the two attractive orcs, he stepped into the club like a fish slipping into water. This was his element, and he was going to enjoy himself. He quickly scanned the room, mentally classifying everyone; the powerful, the hopeful, the wannabes acting like power-mongers. He knew that his social status--as defined by that bizarre Pito crap--wasn't strong enough to directly approach the higher-caliber socialites, but at least he could avoid talking to those who were losing status and inadvertently being seen as "on the down swing" himself.

Once inside the club, Clem started recording. Safe in the knowledge that she didn't look like herself, she set her commlink to "record" and was determined to figure out the Pito feature and use it to her advantage.

Sammy had put on her Moonsilver line gown, in a deep blue colour that actually went quite nice with her now blonde hair.  The hair was done up in the latest fashion.  She too had her me-feed running at the moment, while she chatted with other people.  She knew who to pick and who to ignore, having been to parties like this before.  She also knew what gossip she could tell about the new trid she was involved in.  Some things the studios didn't mind going out and in fact, sometimes studios had been known to sent behind the screens people to parties with a number of 'rumours' that they had to get out.  It was a way to get publicity for a trid and also something she had done before when she worked behind the scenes.
