Kitty is right (kind of). If we slave to her deck we are all put at risk when she is working. If she tries a sleaze action and fails, then a mark is placed on her deck (and everything she has sleazed).

This is one of the strange Shadowrun rules. Honestly, probably Cheshire is the best to slave to.

You never answered about running common use programs on your commlink. I just assumed I could. This is a GM specific question as it is not listed in the rules. I go with yes in my campaign as I feel it makes sense as RCC's can use them too. But up to you.

Cheshire and his deck role 10 dice defence on a brute force and 8 on a hack on the fly. Kitty rolls 8 and 8 on her deck without sim bonuses and her deck on highest firewall.

I'm rolling 7 and 8 for sleaze attack and for brute force.

I think it would be best if we slave to Kitty though. Not so much because she has the best chance of defending, but she has the best chance of responding.

Just don't slave to Trance. She'd get hacked in a hurry and would be staring at her commlink and thinking, "Why is it making funny noises and acting oddly?"

if i try a sleaze and fail the mark will be only on the deck, the problem w/ the deck is its device rating... its 1... while a Erika 'link is 4, deck allows me to create a PAN of 3 devices, Erika allows for 12. Erika also has a firewall of 4 (my best attribute on the deck) theoretically i can get tha up, but its not feasible on a cheap ass deck.

was talking with Kalarin, there is another option, but that does not generate much of a consensus. devices slaved to a commlink slaved to the deck allowing me to run the wrapper on the devices.

I think you are right. I was just reading. I don't think I can run common use programs on my commlink. They don't forbid it but they say deck everywhere through it. I can slave all the devices, and that's fine. I think we need to keep your deck separate from the slaving. Leave it as an independent device.

This is one of the things that bug me. The rules imply that the decker is the best at decking. they are not necessarily the best to defend? If I leave my commlink to defend itself, it will get firewall x 2 and that is 8 dice.
