Wow pretty tired today! 2 tipple shot coffees and it's still morning ;)

Hopefully the post makes sense, pushed it a bit so I could get something out, has been too long since I posted. I'll describe the scene a little later, from there you guys can set up if you like, or move on if it's not to your liking.

Any questions?

Hmm,

I seem to be over penalizing myself on perception.

@Kalarin.

What are the current environmental modifiers for perception?

Better to roll extra dice and give him the option to take them away while hoping he forgets to  :P

IS the act of putting the AK in the weapon mount in this truck the sort of thing i can just do real quick before they scout out the place?
I had the impression i'd need tools and some time.

I was thinking we could pull it in to the factory and put it on.

me too, but i didn't think we'd be able to do that BEFORE angel and slim scout the place on foot.
My thinking was STEP 1: slim and angel scout on foot.
STEP 2: we move into the factory set up shop.
STEP 3: mod the truck
STEP 4: head out and scout the first target, i believe it was gonna be their supply depot, although i feel like i've been hearing mention of a fight pit.

how much of that is correct?

i was callin it dim light and light rain, but low light vision moves partial and dim to full, so only included the -1 from light rain.

Ahh, I read you like you were suggesting that the ak was mounted before going in. I'll edit my post.

BTW Kalarin, where would you position our handy dandy factory on that map?

Well at least I had a few decent rolls!  Of course two of them were for resisting 2 drain.

Kalarin, I didn't see the vision penalty was at -3 before I posted.  Thermo moves Cheshire to -1, feel free to remove a hit on the perception test.

Oh, and for normal people who haven't done extensive planning around the movement speeds of levitation, a Force 4 levitate moves at just under four and a half feet per second.  Which means in half an hour Cheshire can cover roughly a mile and a half.

Bumping up to a Force 6 levitate makes it just over six and a half feet per second, which would be able to cover 2.23 miles in half an hour.

High Force makes for some interesting speed.  Force 10 levitate?  11 feet per second.  Almost 3.75 miles in half an hour.

And did I point out that levitate's speed is entirely a function of Force, nothing to do with hits?  Which means you can do a Force 10 levitate with one reagent to limit it to one hit, so no chance of physical drain.  Roll against 8 drain, most likely take 2-4.

Not exactly speedy compared to a car (or an olympic sprinter), but it beats walking!

i dunno man. that's about 8ish miles an hour, which is slower than most cars or runners, yeah. But you're moving "as the crow flies". straight distances between two points with no corners or slowing down for traffic or any kinda bullshit. I'd say that in practice, that would probably make you as fast, if not faster than some vehicles, depending on the situation.
