So in the back of the book there's all these great ready to go grunts.   Since I'm going to be GMing for the first time soon I'm going to be putting them to use.  Before I start filling out some stat sheets for them (using some NPC card templates I found here), I figured I'd check first to see if anyone else has made ready to print grunts.

Actually, that would make a great product.  A book(or more likely, PDF) of ready to go NPC sheets.  Perfect for planning an adventure or quickly reacting to your players when they start an unplanned fight.

I've been using the NPCs stats provided in the Alphaware toolbox, there is something like 12 pages of usable NPC stats, going from Taxi Driver to Underworld Thugs. I find it extremely helpful when I need to pull some stats for an NPC that I didn't prepare.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like the toolbox might be more useful that I thought.    I've seen the bundle deal they had a little while ago for the PDFs.  Know if there's a PDF/hard copy bundle deal available?  I've found the battleshop less than user friendly.

Last I heard, the print version was due for April but I don't think it has been released yet.
I agree that battleshop is not really user friendly, that's why I bought it from DriveThru rpg instead, you also get a $20 discount while buying the Digital Toolbox to preorder the print version.

I just took the ones in the back as a template. Modified them to fit my needs.

Worked for me.

I'll second taking a look at the alphaware bundle - the Plots & Paydata book has a bunch of new contacts and grunts. The sprawl sites are also more fleshed-out than the ones in the core book.

What I'd like is an automated fillable PDF where I can enter stats and such into the first sheet, and it hands me the important combined values on the second. I already write down A(ttack), D(efense) and S(oak) for all goons, but it doesn't include Perception (Visual/Audio/other), resist against Direct Mental, Direct Physical, Physical Illusion, Mental Illusion. Having a pdf auto-calculate those for me and giving me a short printable view, including condition monitors, would be real nice.
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

Would a physical version of the tool kit be preferable?   Looked like most would be fine as a PDF, but what about the maps?   Are they just images of different places, or large maps to use miniatures on?

I don't think the physical version is out yet, I just printed what I needed from the kit.
There's 8 maps included, there is 2 copies of each, one is plain and the other as some info that the GM could use, miniatures can easily be used.

Maps included are :
-Apartments Compex
-Train Station
-Barrens Block
-Gambling Den
-Luxury Hotel
-Dowd Street
-Corporate Research Facility
-Dock/Warehouse
