SO FAR: The only lots that have been filled are
1- Nimbasa as Isaac, the golden boy.
2- SlowDeck as Slappendash, the secret shame.
3- Tenlaar as Samuel, the buster sword.
4- Reyjinn as Francis, the new man.


i haven't decided who the "leader" of the crew will be.
It's either gonna be the buster sword or the old vet.

You want the following for your game...

Been thinking about it and here's the characters i want.
Note: these are personality archetypes and can fit any type of character you'd like to make.


1- the old vet. he's been in shadows since before fuckever and is completely disillusioned to the idea that anyone can make a difference. He's fallen on hard times recently.
2- the new man. His whole life up until now has been focused toward a single point and now that point is impossible/meaningless/whatever. It's time to start a new life in the shadows.
3- the buster sword. Full of youth and vigor and idealism. Has no idea of his own limits and lives by his heart.
4- the secret shame. Something happened or you did something no one can know about. ever.
5- the golden boy. Mommy and daddy paid for everything, and if the shit REALLY hits the fan, you know they'll bail you out.
6- the professional. You have one skill worth paying for, and though you hate doing it for money, you hate starving even more.


it should be noted you can feel free to substitute whatever gender pronoun you'd like for any of the ones presented here.

So you would still want to have "an old vet" and "the professional"   


I'll see what I can come up with and post a character proposal for consideration.  Assuming you haven't decided to just stick with the four.

Johnny slowly opens his eyes, the steady beep waking him from sleep. Drek…where the hell am I? trying to rise, he barely shifts his head. Fuck, not good, think Johnny… The last thing you remember… he doses slightly, the steady beep fading No, THINK, wake up… the race… I was winning, then…

thinking back, struggling to form the memories, Johnny remembers the race, the last bend. He was winning, drek, he'd have made it big had he won. He'd bet everything, sure he was doing to win… Johnny drifts off the sounds of a hospital fading as he loses consciousness.

After months of rehab, trying to get back on his feet, Johnny finally managed to check himself out.

A short time later, Friday night at the Fiery Jug...

"Seems I had at least one friend, Sam got me out, getting him to my sister Lucy, far away from the gang. They might have cared, though in his state they had no use for me. My legs missing, half dead. She took out a damn loan from a loan shark to fix me,get me back on my feet, literally. Now I need to look out for her, repay the loan shark with interest, can't gamble anymore, not after all this…"

Johnny takes a swig from his flask, glancing toward the poker table in the corner You know you can't Johnny, sort your drek, go home

His companion smiles, topping up Johnny's glass "Are you back to full strength? You as good a driver as your say? I may have a way you can make some nuyen… a simple job…Help that sister of yours, yes?

To answer the other questions, I was thinking he may have a couple tricks with drones, but only from his street racing days. He's new to the shadow's though, perhaps something he will pick up down the line?

I can flesh this out more if it's something you're interested in rolling with.

This would be for the professional archetype.

I haven't finished up a character sheet yet, though I was thinking metatype A for 6 edge, resources B to try and make the cyber thing work

Edit: Actually I think I can get away with resources C so I can have skills B and round out the character a little more.

@kalarin, i love johnny. Keep in mind meat replacements for lost limbs are cheaper, and cost ya no essense, so you don't HAVE to go chrome if ya don't feel like it, although if ya do, please do.

Awesome In that case I'll flesh him out a little more, start working on the character sheet and contacts.

I can already see a few contacts from his old gang, the guy who saved him, his sister and this new fixer.

I'll think about the chrome thing, if I can make it work I will. Johnny will be very new to the shadows so he will predominantly be a wheel man at this stage. I was thinking a cheap RCC for a couple of microskimmers as per my original post, possibly a roto-drone for areal surveillance from when he was racing. Definitely nothing with a weapon mounted at this stage.

Are you happy with Johnny working his way up to being more of a rigger down the line?

Been adding a little meat on Francis' bones, definitely a work in progress. Will be writing some fluff to get a better feel for his personality as well when inspiration strikes.

Gabriela Black (neé Martinez), human, 52 y/o, mother, lives in Miami (moved after the death of his father).
Ana Black, human, 23 y/o, sister, lives in Miami, studying medicine at the University of Miami.

-Parents met while William was vacationing in Miami.
-Gabriela was/is a pianist, playing in a Jazz band and doing some session work.
-William was a freelance columnist for the art section of the [Jacksonville Tribune].
-Francis is the firstborn, born 8 years ahead of Ana.
-Despite having such creative parents both Francis and Ana are logic driven in their pursuits (Lawyer and Doctor, respectively).
-No other immediate family in Jacksonville or the surrounding area, some second and third cousins running around.
-In contrast the Martinez family tree in and around Miami is quite extensive.

Cynthia Wells [human, 28 y/o]. Interior designer. Left Francis after he got fired from the DA's office even as she was pregnant with their first child. Currently living with Jack Martin [human, 42 y/o, Lawyer for Exxoco Petrochem]. Cynthia is having a custody battle with Francis as she does not want him involved in Joshua's life. As of now Francis is entitled to three 4 hour visits every 2 weeks at a location chosen by Cynthia, which means Jack Martins house as she know it makes Francis uncomfortable to be there.
