Alright, let's try this again :)

Questions, speculations, and perhaps even rulings regarding the stuff in Stolen Souls goes here.

To get things started:

How does a Dragonfly drone deliver its payload?

I know this is only marginally helpfull but it is in one of the fourth edition books. The dragonfly had several mandible replacements that you could swap out to do different things one of them was a cutter another was for drugs but I honestly can't remember how it was delivered. I will look through my books when I get home to find out for you.

How does a Dragonfly drone deliver its payload?

Since it's an aerial drone, I was thinking of a 50/50 mix of DMSO and whatever drug you wanted to use. It holds only one dose, but (as stated in the fluff) you can use more than one drone if required.

*Edit:* Delivery could be as simple as just dropping it/spraying it out.

There is an error with the Table of Contents. Not on page 2, but the pdf's table of contents. 'Mind over Matter' is spelled wrong. Its currently spelt 'Mind over Mater' and it also has 'Saeder-Krupp and NeoNet'  and 'Ares, NYPD, Inc., and Winter Systems' sections under it, when they should be under 'Loaded C-Suites of New York.'

That's neither errata nor a question, but if you started a new thread and actually expressed what caused your disappointment, I'm sure a discussion could be had.

Well after looking in my 4th edition books I found the dragonfly in the arsenal book and unfortunately it had no drug delivery version listed there. sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

As for errata I was wondering what the duration on the drugs was for. It seems that the attribute "Duration" was removed from 5th edition and its inclusion here is unexplained. For example on Laes it lists a duration is that supposed to be for the memory loss, which was not the case in previous editions, or for the stun that is sustained.

Another, why is it practically impossible to knock someone out with chloroform? It does 7 stun from what I can tell and that is resisted and according to 5th each addition does of a drug used only gives a +1 to that.

Also, interference spell refers to signal rating which is no longer used.

My take was that chloroform required you to (in effect) hold the cloth over the target's mouth for a few Combat Turns to actually knock them out.

Another question:
The Convince spell seems like it assumes you roll Intuition + Perception to spot holes in a story (a Con roll).  In SR5, Charisma + Con is opposed by Charisma + Con.  Is the book incorrect and in need of errata?  If the book is correct, how does the spell work?

I'm confused by the timeline of the book.  When you look at your logon date, it says that we're in April of 2076.  Most of the book supports this, until you get to the section on Manhattan.  Manhattan's section seems to be written in 2075, with references to the MDC elections in June, and other events.

Is the book's setting in 2076, with the Manhattan-specific info outdated?  Should I treat all references to 2075 as 2076?  Or is this a legitimate oversight that can be explained?

You sure it's not them referencing events that happened in 2075, with the section being written in 2076?

The dates are all accurate. The log-in text implies what you're reading is a compilation of older posts that have been gathered into a single file. I've noticed that with a few products.

I figured that might be the case.  The section on Manhattan is the only part that seems to be in 2075, with notes about the "upcoming elections in June 2075" and notes about policy changes that have to take place before the end of 2075, etc.  But then that begs the question about what happened with the elections.  S-K, NeoNET, and Ares were all hanging by a thread.  I haven't finished the section on Manhattan yet, but it seems like that would be pretty tremendous information to not include in this book.

I'm sure we'll get the canon answer eventually, but in the meantime there are a million plot hooks for GMs to take advantage of.

is publicly blaming NeoNET and Evo for the increased crime rates seen in Manhattan because of the failures with the security mesh.

I'm pretty sure that's not suppose to be Evo...but maybe it is. But this entire section has been talking about S-K and NeoNET, so it seems weird for Evo to have been brought up in the middle of it out of no where.

It might make sense, since some of the major metaplot is about Evo and NeoNET, but this part of the book is about S-K and NeoNET being at each other's throats and both of them causing problems to the New York mesh network. So I think this might be a typo.

The spell classes seem to be severely messed up. Comparing with BRB and Street Grimoire I propose the following:

Hibernate (Manipulation) -> (Health)
Intoxication (Manipulation) -> (Health)
Nutrition (Manipulation) -> (Health)
Sound Barrier (Manipulation) -> (Illusion)

Please correct me if I am making the wrong presumsions.

If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?
