So, I'm planning my next session, and I have an idea for an adventure where the runners get hired by a Johnson from DocWagon. The setup is that DocWagon teams around Seattle have been getting ambushed; an armed group has been attacking and flat-lining high-paying DocWagon customers, wiping out the response teams and stealing their vehicles, which have vanished without a trace. The runners are being hired to put a stop to whoever's doing this and help DocWagon save face before these incidents become too public.

I've done a little reading on it, and according to older source material, a DocWagon HTR team consists of three medics and four security guys, in an armored Ares truck with roof-mounted machine gun armed with gel rounds. What I mainly need to know is, what Professional Rating should these DocWagon security guards be at? I was thinking somewhere between 3 and 5, and I need to create this team who's taking them out to be a little tougher than the DocWagon guys, but not so hard that they can't be dealt with my players. Any thoughts?

The people taking out the DocWagon teams don't necessarily have to be built stronger than the security guys if they happen to have inside info.  Like, for example, if somebody high enough in DocWagon to have a lot of knowledge and connections but low enough to know that he'll never rise to the top has decided to start his own business...after taking what he needs for supplies from DocWagon and making them look like they're failing their customers in the process.

If you check out the free Preview of Bullets&Bandages on DriveThruStuff, it includes the default teamsizes for DocWagon. I don't have the full book so don't know if it includes full stats.
(On an item's info page you can check out a 6-page preview for free on DriveThruStuff.)

I'd go with PR3 for SRT DocWagon and PR5 for HRT.

By the way, Stolen Souls note that official vehicles have better stats than the knockoff ones we peasants use. GMC Endurance is the base for a counterfeit DocWagon ambulance, it has these stats:
Handling 3/3, Speed 4, Accel 3, Body 14, Armor 6, Pilot 1, Sensor 2, Seats 8.
If we then apply the *1.5 multiplier that the book states we should use:
Handling 5/5, Speed 6, Accel 5, Body 21, Armor 9, Pilot 2, Sensor 3, Seats 12.
Of course as GM you may decide to finetune that, for example reduce the Accel to 3 and keep Seats at 8, having the remaining 4 seats in use for medical equipment. 5 Acceleration is a bit much. :P
How am I not part of the forum?? O_O I am both active and angry!

Thanks for the info! That's very helpful.

That's an excellent suggestion! I was actually thinking the mastermind might be an exec over at Crash Cart (Evo's competing service) who was looking to climb the ladder over there by helping Crash Cart expand into Seattle by making DocWagon look bad and drawing business to Crash Cart, but I really like the idea of somebody at DocWagon turning traitor and going into business for himself. Plus it would help me avoid using mooks that could trump a PR5 security team and make it more of a fair fight for the PCs.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.  You have a few inside people setting things up so that the people outside of DocWagon are basically just picking up the gear/trucks and disposing of bodies.  The traitorous exec could have recruited people in key departments as well.  The guy who currently works in vehicle maintenance has been promised a head of maintenance position at the new company and is hiding nerve/knockout gas canisters in the vehicles.  The guy who has been promised the head of whatever department handles equipping the teams makes sure their gas masks aren't fully functional.

It has the potential to have a lot of cool mirror shades elements as you snoop out all the different players on the inside of the corp, AND some nice mohawk moments when the runners end up having to deal with the mooks who aren't a PR5 security team...but they have the gear of one!
