Sidenote: He usually goes by either "One" or "67". His CLOSE friends use his real name, but usually only when others aren't around. The full "One67" is pretty much only used as a graffitti tag.

I'm open to them having dated after Francis' father died. Absolutely no reason not to. More unlikely that they did so before she started dating her husband-to-be unless Sam was staying in Miami for a time.

How would you like to set it up so that the street doc is a mutual contact? My background for him/her was that he/she worked for Isaac's parents as a legal doctor, but strayed from the path, Isaac took advantage of this. How about you? I can change it up if you'd like.

Your story is way more fleshed out than my street doc is.  I have no problem with any of this. I'm guessing that Francis got his ware before the doc went a-strayin. Isn't Isaac in his early 20s? Francis would have gotten most of his ware while Isaac was discovering masturbating Good, trustworthy docs aren't easy to find so Francis (if he knows what went down for the doc in the first place) wouldn't see any reason to turn his back on him.

Isaac is 24, he got chromed around 17-18 years, and if Francis got the doc to wire him up, Isaac would have got it from some back alley guy who knew enough about his work to not kill his patients, but was still seedier than the top of a Big-Mac.

That means that there is a 2 year gap between Francis and Isaac having their stuff implanted.

As far as a connection to One67, I'm not sure about that one.  With the way Samuel feels about gangs and not knowing exactly how 67 has ties to them, I think it might be better for you to come up with that connection.  I don't know if 67 has an actual vested interest in things staying quiet with the gangs or what and am guessing you don't want to reveal too much about what he's really involved with yet.

I kinda like that she knew him already before she lost the job. I think you met him in one of those tactical shooter games you play and when you told him you were out of a job, he offered you a place to crash and help getting back on your feet. Unfortunately for you, he had heard the rumors about you already and tried to get into your pants. FORTUNATELY for you, he was cool about it when/if you rejected his advances (he really is quite goofy looking and strange all around, so you make the call) and the offer to help you get back on your feet was indeed genuine either way.

She's 43 years old, graduated rather average in her class, and was unable to stand out enough to make it in the big time professional world. She was always too good and decent a person, too unwilling to cut the corners and make the nasty decisions that really make you the big bucks. She floundered with her own legal practice for years, with less and less in the bank at the end of every quarter. About 8 years ago, she had to downgrade from an actual brick and mortar practice to a GMC bulldog loaded up with gear. Where she used to have a nice place in the burbs, she now moves through the sprawl, helping whoever needs it and can sortof afford it. She does too much pro-bono work, and despite her skill, is still losing money.
Francis knew her when she had the brick and mortar place and saw her transition to the bulldog. By the time Isaac met her, she was already in it.

If Isaac did any work for Francis back in the bad ole days, thats how they met, through her.

You know that the only connection One has with any gang is in making sure they know his business aint a threat to them. As far as vested interest, everyone in the slums has a vested interest in things staying quiet with the gangs. Sam has NO love for gangs, and you've seen him take an ass beating on at least one occasion at their hand. He just deals with the world as it is.
