So, my runner just bought a Ferrari Diabolus (Eurocar Westwind 3000) and had it loaded out with your standard off-the-grid fair (spoof chip, morphing plate, chameleon coating) and a couple of nice toys (Ares Thunderstruck gauss rifle and Ares Lancer laser rifle). My concern is that I want to be able to use the car to get to and from meets and high-class establishments as well as on the run without Knight Errant converging on my arm-to-the-teeth hoop at every stoplight. Not that they'd catch me on the streets, but I don't want to walk out of Dante's Inferno and into a SWAT van.
Without the Rigger splat book I'm left with little options. I figure the chameleon coating and customized design can be used to actively camouflage the weapons (as performance parts or accessories, for instance) so that their function isn't obvious or apparent until they are used (out of the prying eyes of Knight Errant). I do commute through the barrens, on occasion. Personally, I'd prefer to have the gauss cannon pop out of the hood, and the laser to fire from the tail lights, but I don't know if that's reasonable.
No doubt the car is going to look unique, and chameleon coating isn't going to render it anonymous, what with all the three Diabolus's out there in Seattle (wild conjecture). I still want to use it as my 'bat-mobile'. This is for a Samurai/Face smuggler, so being able to show up to a classy place and dressed to the nines is important, as well as burning rubber and blasting things. Even on the same night.
Any advice? How do you handle weapon mounts in your game?
