What, you weren't at the party yesterday?

They had punch and cake.
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Ok, I'm bringing this up again. I'm pretty sure this year is Shadowrun's 25th anniversary. Now, clearly, IF they are doing something "special" for the 25th anniversary, it's probably not coming out this year (because there's only about 3 months left in this year). BUT, shouldn't they have at least announced something? Hell, I'd be happy with just a "yes we are doing something" or "no we don't care about the 25th anniversary, ask us at year 30"

You're griping about Catalyst not announcing whether or not they care about the 25th anniversary?  Pardon me for saying so, but that seems a bit petty.  If Catalyst wanted to make a big deal about the 25th anniversary, they would.  And if they don't want to, why would they say something about it?  To complain about a lack of communication about something that doesn't need communicating to figure out feels like you're just looking for something to complain about.  The fact that there hasn't been any communication doesn't mean they won't - as you pointed out there's about 3 months left.  But wouldn't you rather they worked on the books and errata?  I know I would.

I'm not trying to complain or gripe. I was just curious & wanted to see if anyone else was curious as well. Since almost all responses to this topic have been sarcastic, I'm going to assume I am the only one who is curious.

I understand now - I apologize if my post came off aggressive, as that was not my intention.

I thought that the 25th anniversary piece was used in the build up to the release of SR5 and all the other products. I actually thought lady year was the anniversary... :-\

In my opinion, Catalyst can't afford to do anything special with Shadowrun and I feel like they are trying to backburner the whole thing.   5e is a mess so far.  I mean it's been said that the Rigger book might not be until the end of 2015 or maybe into 2016.   And it seems like most of their focus is on Valiant or on the card game.  I'm hoping that the Run Faster book will turn things around.

It's a real shame because think the basic mechanics of this edition is the best so far.

I disagree wholeheartedly.  There have been more releases of content, faster than in previous editions and with previous publishers.  The Rigger book has traditionally always been the last book, or near to last book, released for an edition.  It's become a bit of a running gag, honestly.  There are at least three releases in the works, Data Trails, Run Faster and Lockdown.  Not to mention the e-books that are constantly being churned out.  Valiant has a total of what?  3 books?  The card game is being handled by a different company that is licensing the Shadowrun universe, there's Shadowrun Returns on PC, and then there's the Shadowrun MMO being worked on.  Times have never been more flush for Shadowrun.

But as you said, those products are being made by others.   We are getting Run Faster sometime soon.  Maybe this book will show us a new lease on the life of the edition.  I think this game needs adventures.  Drek, I would even buy old adventures converted to the new rules.

This isn't D&D where there are thousands of people out there making and self-publishing adventures.  It never has been, ever.  Make some adventures if you need some adventures - there's a random run generator in the book that's actually quite helpful.

This game's vast history has come mostly from adventures.  I'm glad you have the time to do your own adventures but no random adventure would replace the Mercurials and Harlequins.

You're not talking about adventures - you're talking about fictional novels.  Those characters were introduced into the adventures after they were introduced in novels, and their exploits aren't covered much at all in adventures.
