Can we just wing APB or let her collapse form fading? Something that takes her out for now and if MC doesn't come back then APB has complications and doesn't recover. If APB is just taken out of this combat that should give MC at least a day or 2 to come back if this is a mistake.

I saw that his profile was missing as well. Looking at a cached version of his profile, he was averaging 5.5 posts a day. Very odd to disappear in a puff of smoke after 2,500 posts over 15 months.

Maybe we can say the stray bullet plugged APB and we need to put her on medkit life support. That buys us until the end of the encounter to see if he re-emerges. But very unfortunate.

Well for now, lets just skip APB's turn and go straight to Uncle Sam. After he pulls his Dr. Mario stunt, Chino lost his turn due to Full Defensing, and then it'll be Ace's turn.

Which is also problematic, since Ren hasn't been online in close to a week. He at least still has a profile, though.

Ren has been missing for a week, so I just took the most efficient action available to him, which basically ends this combat.

It's crumpled's turn next, but I can't imagine he has many options other than to jack out, which would end this combat turn, and nobody else is in any position to continue the combat. Unless you guys move to check for survivors, which will result in another roll for initiative a few minutes from now when you reach them.

I'll give martinchaen another day or so before I declare APB dead. I haven't posted it in IC yet, but bullets from that full auto got her unless martinchaen returns. I really doubt that will happen though, since I don't think an erased profile is a temporary measure.

I only have one question before I declare my turn over and log out. Is the deck still online or did it completely go dark when the hacker logged out? If the deck is still there then Crumpled will use his pass to search it and copy the files over to his own deck. If it is gone then he'll look for any enemy comm device that is still active in the matrix before logging out. He's definitely not happy his target has been taken from him twice in this fight. It only adds insult to injury that he missed the last one.

I've been tempted to PM Fastjack or someone about it, but haven't yet. It is super weird. martinchaen was one of maybe a dozen Prime Runners on the board, and he just vanished overnight.

His turn was Switch Interface Mode (simple) and Jack Out (simple), so he's out of the matrix and his deck rebooted. His icon is gone for a Combat Turn, but for the moment it is completely gone.

There are still some icons on the matrix, but they're all running silent. They got ejected from the PAN when the decker rebooted, so none of them are slaved to him anymore.

Crumpled actually has no idea what's going on, since he's in full VR and nobody's been talking over the network, so as far as you know, shit's just turning off. Although it was pretty obvious that he got injured on the meat. Also, APB and her sprite dissolved randomly, from what you saw.

That's one of the reasons he is so pissed. Things are just turning off as he gets ready to attack them. He finds and puts a mark on the hound, only for APB's sprite to attack it and the rigger takes it offline. He gets three marks on the Decker, when the guy suddenly fades then goes dark. And a lot of the other silent icons have just gone away.
