I generally prefer to do planning in the IC forum, although this game is a bit more flexible with where information is presented and shared. I can play it however Ryo prefers.

I get that, and it's the way I'd prefer to do it, but things are getting muddled in IC, and I also had a few questions about mechanics that needed answering. I think it might be quicker for this part to get a consensus in OOC where we don't have to pretty it up, then translate the process ICly. At any rate, I've posted IC to address the following:

1. I'm leaving the option open to try the decoy plan. I've suggested it and set the ground work, it's up to the shooter to decide to try it or not.
2. I've indicated my expectation that we are heading to Aspen.
3. I've given my suggestion for APB's body.
4. I've opened the floor for discussion on ditching the car. I'll expand on it with the things I've mentioned OOC once we have ditched APB's body IC.

@All
Things that would be good to have happen now:

1. Chino should drive
2. Crumpled should respond to my request to join his PAN (though I'll be rebooting all of my gear once the prisoner is behind us)
3. Anyone good with guns needs to drop the prisoner and either kill him or trick shot to wound him.

@Ryo
Do I need a Con roll to determine if the prisoner believes we are heading to Carbondale?
When we ditch APB, what would it take to burn her? I can use fireball (what Force would be required) or we can have Uncle Sam use demolitions (?), or do we have another source of fire (I remember a survival kit, which should have matches or a lighter at least)?

Purvue, if you want to make an executive decision - perhaps informed by the OOC commentary - and back it up with a Command test, that might be a way to keep things moving forward. Your Leadership rolls should easily beat the rest of us, even with your wound modifiers, since most of us will be defaulting. PvP social rolls can be a touchy subject but in this case I think it's a legitimate use of Ohanzee's skillset. I'd be willing to live (or not live) with the consequences.

That's a bit scary as a new PbP player, but I'll defer to your experience. I'll wait until the prisoner's been dealt with, then see if I can use that to move things along.

Yes, that requires a Con roll. Of course, even if he believes you, the only way to get to Carbondale from your current position is to drive through Aspen.

Carbondale was simply what I came up with from a Google Maps search of the area. I'm not familiar with what it looks like in the 2070s. If there is a check I can make to perhaps come up with a better decoy destination, I'm game for that.

In any case, the Con roll:
Mislead the prisoner [CHA 6 + Con 5 + Subject Distracted 1 - Wounds 2]: 10d6t5 1

Glitch! How fickle the RNG. Frag it, I ain't gonna burn the edge to save a plan that appears to be going nowhere. We'll just have to ice him.

1-hit glitch on 10 dice. Brutal.

Ohanzee's Fireball spell would probably be the most practical form of immolation but that's OOC knowledge. ICly, the rest of us don't know that he can cast it.

Alright, I think Ace is onboard with the plan, given his logic, but here's a Composure test to make sure he knows what Ohanzee is talking about:
Composure: 7d6t5 2

Splitting the Damage called shot.  I forgot the -4 penalty, so that should only be 5 hits.
Melee Handspurs: 13d6t5 6

14P, AP -2 DMG split between P/S tracks.  That makes 7P/7S, so long as the corpsman's armor rating is less than 9.  If not, let's hope he rolls well, as if there's ever a time when somebody doesn't deserve a defense test it's now.

Given the glitch, I think it wise to provide Ace a Con roll, on the off chance that this man's suspicions are piqued right before he believe's he's being sent to the afterlife.  Defaulting on Con.

Per the IC post, the Masked Woman is:

1) dropping Mana Bind
2) going through APB's possessions
3) Assensing Ace: Intuition 6 + Assensing 4 - Sustaining 2 - Wound Modifier 1 = 4 hits

The goal is to grab everything except her armor (the Second Skin and the Coldsuit).

Purvue, per your earlier question, the Ares Survivalist suit in the duffel bag was taken by Ace and is currently being worn.

Edit: Added the Assensing roll

Yeah, I am tempted to edit the IC and change it to "Toss him, we have to be in Aspen before dawn. I mean Carbondale. Yeah, that's the ticket!"

What does a glitch on a roll like that even look like? Would Ohanzee know he totally flubbed it? If so, I don't think he'd be keen on letting the prisoner live, so it might require some editing of the posts.

Anyway, I'm intimating in IC that I have the means to light things on fire. I don't outright say it because I'm not sure it'd be referred to as "Fireball" by the PCs. I'm open to suggestions for an in flavor name for the spell.

Also, when scrubbing his astral signature, he went astral if needed to clean it from the prisoner's body. Am I being too paranoid about cleaning up my signature? Ryo's specific call out to how Quicksilver Cameras work in his game leads me to believe that it is prudent, but I'd rather just leave it as an unwritten assumption that unless circumstances prevent it, he cleans up his signature when he has a few seconds to do so.

Tabula Rasa has dropped to page 2. Ravensoracle hasn't been online since the 9th and Novacrane hasn't been with us since the 2nd, despite showing as online as recently as today. Has anyone tried PMing them? If not, I can try.

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure Ryo is still with us as he hasn't been on in a week, though it's possible he's just been browsing anonymously waiting for something to happen.

I've been keeping tabs too and have seen the same things. Ryo is GMing another game (Kindred Spirit) where he mentioned that he "had a lot of personal matters to attend to lately that limits my time to work on shadowrun things." That was on the 13th. He hasn't posted for that game since then either.

I'm still carrying a flame for this game because I've been enjoying it a ton. I'm hoping that it defies the odds and resumes at some point. Or, failing that, I would love to see my full sheet, plus a behind-the-curtains look at who we are and how we fit together. This has been one of the best game concepts I've ever been a part of.

Sorry I haven't been around.

I would like to see this game come to a conclusion, but that seems to be getting less and less likely, and I feel like I've lost too many players at this point. Ravensoracle is outright missing, and while Novocrane and Poindexter are still around, neither has shown much inclination that they intend to keep participating here. I'm down to 1 out of my original 7 players, and 3 of 6 of my current players.

Apologies to purvue(or Malevolence?) and rednblack for bringing them in only for this to happen shortly after, but this game feels like a sinking ship.

If this game is over, I can divulge the mystery, if you guys at least want closure.

There has definitely been a shocking degree of player attrition in a remarkably short time frame, almost conspiracy-level quantities of player disappearance.

Poindexter is GMing two games right now, which is probably keeping him busy. Given that he's expressing interest in joining Urban Brawl I'm guessing that he would still be down to play if we get out of neutral.

No idea about Ravensoracle or Novacrane, despite the latter being online regularly. Per purvue/Malevolence's suggestion, have we tried PMing them? Might be a long shot but couldn't hurt to try.

Yeah, I started with the intent to capitalize the P in purvue, but the interface made it look like the change didn't take, so I thought maybe it was just having a case  insensitivity issue, so I tried a whole new name and it still didn't appear to change so I gave up. Then I logged in today to find that the last change HAD taken. I rather like the new name, so I'll keep it so long as it doesn't violate some unwritten law of board etiquette to dramatically change your forum name.

But, I have no problem trying for more replacements if you don't mind. Dropping the game and revealing the mysteries seems a waste since I imagine a lot of time went into creating the adventure, so it should be properly enjoyed, but yeah, if you don't feel motivated to continue, that would be better than having it just fade away.

And, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for Kindred Bond if you decide to look for a replacement for Ravensoracle.
