>>A way to get the the crown of the seer for sure. She may be a pacifist and naieve, but if that crown is any indication, nothing would deserve what they are more than likely to do to her. What that crown did is just like if something took your body and decided to turn you into an eleven story high monster to see what would happen. There team may be willing to back off, they can't take many more casualties liek they have been.

Alicia sent the message, and closed her eyes. All she had planned on doing was hopping a ride on the train a ways to the next city, and now she was working to prevent the kindnapping of a free spirit by a team of what was most likely corpmen. Life always loved surprising her.

<<Alrighty, then, roger an' roger. I'll have a chat with 'em. An' if you got the witch sight, try keepin' an eye on 'em less'n they try somethin'. They is kid-killers, after all, or woulda been if it weren't fer Cutter..>>

Keeping half an eye on the oni, Al called to the emissary drone: "Well, reckon we need that there dingus off'n the Seer's pretty insect head. Tell ya what - you do that, then we git the Seer, an' you git ta live even after killin' those pore kids' parents."

Alicia sent a confirmation over the comn, and immediatly went into the astral. Al's comments had reminded her of the innocnet lives that had been taken theat night. The only reason these murderers would live would be because they wouldn't want further bloodshed . She quickly went to the seer first. "Do not worry, we are doing our best to get the crown off. Please stay come for a while longer. I know I cannot imagine what is hapening to you, but we are trying to help." Then she flshed to the are around them to check them, and then left the astral and checked her spell to see what it could pick up.

Dogmeat sent Al a message: <<Let him board pal, he disabled their best fighter with a single strike -  some ninja magic i think... About negotiation - I do not mind doing it - but being self observant i must say that most fella's think that I am marginally insane.  Just saying though, mate... I know they are wrong.

But I do not mind killing a couple more of them to improve our position in the negotiation - there leader seems to be dead, I bet it scored us some point. The LAV gave us a couple more. You see... the only diplomacy I know how to do require some sort of violence. Is that the kind of negotiation you want?   >>

Dogmeat locks his drones on the drone that previously fired on them and send a message:

<<Okay guys, this is how we do negotiation - there will be exactly a single offer from each side.
If I find your offer unreasonable or insulting we are back to lead diet - It is better if each offer is summarized to a single sentence. If it is too long, too obscure or too complex we are also back to lead diet. >>

Al listened to Dogmeat's broadcast with bemusement and a dash of concern. <<Hey there, amigo, long as yer tossin' round ultimatums about lead diets, ya might like ta consider that the only targets left out here fer either side ta shoot at is all on our side, startin' with yours truly. So less'n ya got someone else lined up ta shoot at….>>

The bright side was that the drone-guy seemed to be taking over the negotiating part, which was one less thing he had to do. He turned to the Japanork: "Well, a feller I ain't never laid eyes on says yer okay, so what the hell, in ya go I reckon. Can't say what sorta meds is in there, but ol' Al be happy ta patch ya up once we's wound this up an' back at the train. Provided o' course yer kind ain't got three hearts or two stomachs or anything like that."

Ichirō wasn't sure what to make of the dwarf.  Having grown up in an arcology, he wasn't used to this variant English. Nevertheless, it appears he had been given permission to board and so he does. He quickly scans the interior looking for a medkit.

Hearing someone board the vehicle, Cutter calls back, "I don't know what's back there that's useful since I didn't have a chance look look while I was commandeering this bird from the butt-wipes that were attacking."

With that he transmits to the team, <<Everyone aboard that's getting on? 'Bout to lift off if so.>>

You can just about hear the mechanical replication of the chuckle over the rising wind

"Fair enough fragger, simple deal.  We take the crown off and walk away, nobody follows us...you get your, well whatever that thing is that was a little girlie, back and no more grenades on your hoop...everyone gets something...deal?"

<<to:Al
<< there deal seems fair. But be ready to blow them to shreds if they start trying anything funny. I am personally already sick of these ********.

Aria sighed in relief. Seems that there may not be anymore problems tonight after all.

<<Reckon that's it fer now, Cutter. Yore jist a target sittin' there like that, git yerself some sky.>> As he spoke to the balls-out sammy, Al was retreating out of the wash of the big machine's running lights and making for the clump of trees he'd used before. It was hard to take cover when you didn't know what direction the bad guys would be shooting from, but the placement of these three trees meant he'd have at least a little coverage from any direction. Certain they had eyes on him anyway, he lit up a Lucky.

<<Copy that, Ms. Reeves.>> he answered the helpful passenger.

"Alrighty then, ya got yerselves a deal. Details seem simple enough - ya come take the dingus off 'er, an' we's done."

>>To: Al
>>Stay safe. I'll be heading my way to the meadow now.

Alicia got out of the train car and started on foot to the clearing, staying low to the ground and preparing for anything.

<< I think we could have gotten way more - by blowing some extra stuff but I am fine with this solution - just make sure they don't try anything sneaky.
I have no special interest in magical artifacts anyhow. If Alicia is fine with it being a real mage that talks to spirits and all dogmeat also agrees. >>

<< Al - if they wanted to shot they would have done so already - there leader is dead they just want to make some money out of escaping. Works for us also because we already grabbed a lot of loot out of this run. No need to be too greedy.  They had both the crown and the Seer until just a few seconds ago.    >>

<<Roger that.>> Cutter transmits, and with that he pulls back on the stick edging the craft back to airborne status.

<<Pleased ta see yer so confident 'bout muh safety, Dog-amigo. But every other time ol' Al's found hisself faced with a big green monster wearin' a crown, there was more goin' on than met the eye. So you'll pardon me if'n I don't bet the farm on yer powers o' mind-readin' an' jist keep muh wits about me till this here scene is good an' gone ta bed."
