It had been a laborious ride to around and from Auburn.  Lots of jostling, lots of turning and lots of stopping.  B.B. hardly noticed.  He kept an eye on the grid, an ear on the police bands, and his remaining attention on an argument about the 3rd season of Jack-knife Jones.  You know, the season where they dropped all the heavy-handed Hamlet stuff and started working on their own damn plot for the first time... anyway..

<<B.B.@Team:  I'll keep in the car and scan for any sign of his ID.  If he so much as turns on his link within four kilcks of our location, I'll peg him in an instant.  You guys want me to leave him a message of introduction or try and trick him into running outside once you put your eyes on him?  I've got many options, and they can become your options... by way of actions.>>

Mercedes smiles, "No need to scare the poor boy, B.B. Just let us know when he gets here. Cynthia can watch the exits in case he bolts, but I think I can get him to talk to us."

She nods toward the sleeping Lana, "What do we do with her?"

I stretch a bit and say, "My guiding spirit is telling me of a looming darkness that is overcoming the streets. There is something bigger than a couple of corp boys skipping out on their handlers going on here. We need to be careful about what we say and to whom especially until we figure out what is going on."

I look over at Lana and say, "It depends on if we think we need her to help ID Hannibal. Woofer were you planning on staying in the car or going into the streets or bar also?"

"I was thinking I could backup Mercedes in stealth mode and hang out by the alleyway between the clubs, but I am open to suggestions."
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

You find a parking space along a curb off a side street from Redmond Way.  Lana already pointed out Club Sonoma and the side street you're parked on is only 2 blocks east.  B.B. decides to stay in the car and monitor the situation from the matrix.  The rest of you climb out of the car along with Lana and start walking towards the club.

Time 7:30
@Rest of Group
The neon signs and ARO's along the strip reflect off the light drizzle and create a sort of fluorescent mist permeating the atmosphere.  You see club names which float over the sidewalks...."Zanders, Frida's, Takara" mostly surrounded by little food stands manned mostly by orks of asian decent serving the typical ramen, topoki, or soyfry....but you pass the occasional exotic stand manned by talismongers and purhaps even mildly awakened shaman's who sell all sorts of strange snacks and pass them off as awakened nourishments.... only for a hefty price will they sell you a single mana cube created with a weak nourishment spell.   Creating those addicitive little cubes is heavily regulated in Seattle, and that's one of the reasons why people from all over like coming to Touristville.

The smuged onyx entrance to club Sonoma is on the first floor of a grimey 4 story plasticrete building and is quite small and inconspicuous, the only sign that this is the entrance to a night-club is a violet black-light sign running along side the door along with several AR ads weaving around it.  The bouncer is a well built ork in a leather neo-tunic who's braids fall all around his shoulders.  He has a little cred slot box and as you approach him he distractedly tells you that it's 20 nuyen per person....but when he sees Lana, he smiles and asks her:
"Are you staying or just making a pickup?"

Lana: "These guys just want to make a pick-up...c'mon Jarius, we'll just be a minute."

He nods and waves you all through.

@B.B.:
Through a little AR window you can see the VR sculpting of the matrix node to the Sonoma.  Like most clubs, it's a heavily idealized imitation of the true physical layout of the estalishment, but detached from any of the surrounding buildings.  You are allowed public access into a vestibule lounge where a few persona icons are having conversations with each other.  The bouncer agent tells you that it's 15 nuyen to get user access.
[OOC: Matrix perception: Analyze 6 + Computer 1 + Neocortical 3 + PuSHed 1= 11 11d6.hits(5)=4.]
Your Analyze ARO is running a scan you see the club node is System 3, Firewall 4 and is running an Analyze 3 along with a bouncer agent rating 3.

@Rest of Group:
You walk down a flight of steps and proceed through an entranceway to your left.  The dimly lit interior of the club looks quite a bit classier than the exterior of the building and relatively empty this early in the evening with most of the people sitting at the neon blue bar which snakes along one whole wall of the establishment.
Lana looks at you and nods towards a man standing next to the bar talking-up a group of girls in a distinct Australian accent.  His back is turned towards you, his shoulder length stringy hair and his trenchcoat are still a little wet.
Lana: "That's him over there....listen, please don't hurt him....he never did nothing bad to me...just get what you want and then let him be."

Mercedes nods at the others, then smiles at Lana, "Don't worry, I'll be gentle. Marcus, why don't you take Lana back outside, Cynthia watch over us. If he bolts, get ready to grab him. Otherwise, I'll talk him out to the car and you can follow behind to keep an eye out."

As she walks across the club floor, she tousles her hair, sways a bit like she's been drinking [ooc](not too hard to fake after the deepweed)[/ooc] and swipes an glass off a table (one that's empty of drink, but has some ice in it) she passes by. As she gets close to Hannibal, she fakes a stumble and spills the remnants of the drink onto Hannibal's back.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I must have tripped or something!" She acts the part of the girl that's had four too many as he turns around, and starts flirting.

Con roll to convince Hannibal she's pretty, drunk and he may have a chance. ;) (16d6.hits(5)=3)

Edit: And, I forgot First impression: First Impression add-on (2d6.hits(5)=0)

Although I guess that it didn't make a difference...

Woofer nods, and leads Lana back out and to the car. "Don't worry Lana, we just want to talk to him."

[OOC:  Would I need Admin access to hijack their sound system?  I feel like it might be decent fun to turn the party out.  It would give Mercedes a good reason to drag Hannibal outside.  If I get busted cracking their system, I can just shut off my wireless, change my ID and go back to waiting around.

@Mercedes
[OOC: roll to see if Hannibal spots your bullshit: Charisma 4 + Con 3  = 7 7d6.hits(5)=3.  You didn't include a romantic attraction modifier, so I"ll include it at +2 to your roll: 2d6.hits(5)=0.  It's a stalemate, so he doesn't think your bluffing, but he doesn't think your drunk.]

Hannibal turns around and blantantly takes you in from head to toe with his beady little machine like cyber-eyes, while scratching inquisitively at his 2 day old stubble:   "No prahblem deary, I keep on tellin'em to turn the loits up...it's too bloody daark down here.  Don't mind the coat, as you can see i'm havin' no luck t'day."  Referring to his already wet trenchcoat.  "Why don't ya join us and let me replace that drink.....I know just the drink for a laahvly young lady such as y'self."  He raises his hand towards his sweaty temple and taps on the datajack Lana described.  The neon blue ring around it blinks for a second and Hannibal places an order into the online bar queue. "Could we have one more of those velvet-shade martinis?....Thanks." Looking back up toward you, "My name is Haannibal, and you are......" He extends his hand out to shake yours, the bartender already making his way closer holding a purple drink in a wide martini glass with a thin stick of chocolate floating on the surface.

@Woofer:
You took advantage of the distraction of Mercedes spilled drink to grab Lana by the shoulder and lead her back up the stairs without being noticed.  When you get to the bouncer at the top of the stairs, he asks Lana, "Hey, what about the others, if they're gonna stay they're gonna need to pay cover."  Lana looks at you wondering what to say.

@B.B.:
Without actually having admin access to Sonoma's node you can't tell for sure so you try some indirect methods.

You find a few other visible nodes which are broadcasting wirelessly from the inside of the club.

[OOC: Matrix perception: 11d6.hits(5)=4.]

The node for the sound system is one of them and your analyze program shows it is slaved to the main node.

[OOC: Capture wireless traffic: Elec. War. 4 + Sniffer 5 + Neocort. Nan 3 + PuSHed 1=13 (3) 13d6.hits(5)=3.]

You load your newly purchased Sniffer program onto your persona and you start scanning the different Wifi frequencies and quickly lock on to the wireless frequency carrying data packets in between the main node and the sound system slave node.   You manage to grab the access ID of the user sending commands to the sound system but you have no way of knowing what his account privileges are.

Mercedes touches his forearm, then smiles her best smile at him "Morena, buy you can call me Rena. What a delicious accent you have! Where are you from?"

With her other hand, she flashes two fingers at Cynthia implying that she'll need just two minutes to get him out to the car.

@Mercedes
Hannibal: "Live and direct from Sydney Australia...the laand daown under....at your services."

He gives you a little mock bow as he leans over to kiss your hand and when that sets you off into flirtatious giggling he takes that as his cue to start into anecdotes from the outback for you and the other 3 girls to enjoy.  He talks about the time when mana-storms caused a mass exodus from the coastal australian countryside, his family fled to Sydney....he grew up in the slums there and according to him, he got talent scouted by a media company and now he runs a little studio that signs up-and-coming independent musicians, models, and other such talented individuals.  This apocryphal story leaves the 3 club-hoppers all hot and bothered......but to someone with an extensive knowledge of global history and the local music scene as well sees all the inconsistencies in what he's saying.  More likely he was probably strung out and slinging chips in Sydney just like over here.....caught the eye of AISE (australian secret police) and had to split in a hurry to save his life.  Most Australian non-corporate immigrants in Seattle you've ever come accross are usually the ones fleeing AISE.  You've even heard on the wire about AISE hiring local runners to perform extraditions all the way over here in North America.

"A producer! Wow! I've done some modeling and singing and am in the market for a new producer." She runs her finger along his arm. "But he was too restrictive. I always thought I could be the next Mercurial, but he kept holding me back. I've got some demo tapes in my car outside, if you wouldn't mind giving me an audition."

Con roll to get him to come outside. (18d6.hits(5) =5)

@Mercedes:
[OOC:  His con resist roll: 7 7d6.hits(5)=2....he believes that you want to jump his bone....not the bit about the demo tapes.. :D]

Hannibal is completely blind-sided by your suggestion....one of his cyber eyes twitches for a second and he puts his drink down on the bar.
"Well that's moity impressive, i'm in constant search of talent such as y'self....if you'll excuse me ladies but Hani neyds t'take care of some business.  Here's my card in case any of you ladies eva needs my services."

He gives you his arm and you gingerly take it as you both walk towards the entrance.

[OOC: Remember, Lana and Woof are still at the top of the stairs talking to the bouncer.]

@Everyone else:
[OOC: Me and Mercedes have been having some back and forth so make sure to start reading all the way back to the last post of mine that you read so you don't miss anything.]

Mercedes smiles at him, then leans back to nod at Cynthia to let her know they are on their way outside. (Hopefully, she can send a message to Woofer that we're on our way.)

I start back towards the entrance. "B.B., Woofer Mercedes is on her way out with Hannibal. I'm not sure what she is going to do other than bring him to the car so be ready. I'm following and will be right behind them even if you don't see me assume I'm there unless I tell you otherwise."

As soon as we clear the club I'm going to don the mask and engage the chameleon suit.
