Hannibal: "It's an emo/goth bar on Redmond Way.  Mostly posers frequent it."

"Hunh...  Was that their scene?  Or had their behavior changed recently?"

<<@team:  Gah!  Vampires!  I knew it!  We're going to need some Champagne and orange Juice, STAT!  Vampires can't stand the power of the Mimosa; it tastes just like liquid sunshine!  They'll all cry themselves to death in remembrance of the sun!  I think I've got the fixins back at my place... also got a bigger gun..  Gonna need to get that gun...Can we run back down the 520?  Not for the Mimosas.. That was a joke... unless you guys want one.>>

Subvocially @ team "Probably want to make themselves live forever. I'll bet the two boys were more than friends, or friends in the bedroom to if you know what I mean. The only problem is that the elf won't change into a vampire if infected he'll become a banshee."
"Walking through walls isn't tough..... if you know where the doors are."
"It's not being seen that is the trick."

Mercedes glances over at Cynthia with a look of "I expect this from B.B., but you too?"

"Can you tell us anything more about the boys? All we know is from their parents and you know how teenagers like to keep them in the dark."

Hannibal looks at Mercedes, her super-natural charm falling over his tense mind like a gossamer blanket and easing his breathing:
"Well, well, it seems like the lot of you are on a bit of shaadowrun.....Visteon send you?....or more likely the old Mr. Robinson himself.  Well I have a little proposition for you.  Now we all know on this side of the shadows no one really likes to have people poking around asking too many questions....so the faster you find those two blokes, the less likely I'll be gettin' another visit from individuals such as y'selves, or even worse....some KE investigators.  I'll help you in what I can to find the boys as long as you keep my name outa this whole mess....and then maybe you also throw in a little toss in the sack with Morena over here", grinning at Mercedes. "...No worries, just jokin' about that last paart....unless y'don't want me to be joking shiela"

He looks down at B.B.:
"Crike, who's this little ankle biter?"  Looking quickly back up to the team for a moment.  "Well in any case, to answer our little friend's first question, no, it wasn't their scene at all, if you could call the Chalice a scene......more like a waterin' hole for confused wage-slave types.  The two little blokes never even been to the place.....they was just lookin' for something they thought just might be there.  Don't know if they ever found it.

Looking back at Mercedes:

When those boys first came to me a year ago they were already hooked on some mildly psychotropic BTL MMO-games.....they got referred to me cuz I got the good stuff and I work inside of their Visteon allowed zones.  They liked my warez and kept coming back for more.  A lot of the popular BTL games these days consist of a series of chips....heavy plot always activates the dopamine receptors a lot wider.  Apparently I sold them quite a doozie of a game called '9 Lives' that once you beat doesn't end, but instead keeps going and has you runnin' all around meat-world Seattle.  I never slotted the game, but since part of the perks of buying from me is I provide customer support, If one of my customers ever gets stuck in a game I sold'em, I'll figure out how to get them past a tough boss or a tough quest......I sell more BTL's that way....."  Hannibal chuckles a little to himself and continues.   The game is basically a bunch of fluff and then the players get to start on 9 quests, or clues...and each one points to the next clue....they most likely also get a little dopamine reinforcement simflash as well, that's how those things usually work.  They managed to finish the first 7, but were totally stuck on the 8th clue."

He taps on his data-jack and as it glows blue, an AR screen flies up in front of his face..."Here it is, here's the 8th clue that they brought me...I figured it out in a jiffy."

The ARO is just a simple text screen with a three lines of text in quotation marks.

To taste but a drop
Of life so sweet
Go seek in the cup where cowardly fools meet

Hannibal waits until you read it.  "You see, it's gotta be the Chalice....c'mon, it's obvious, but they would'a never known...The whole of Redmond is out of their permitted zones, they ain't eva been here.  So all I did was help them get over here....hoping they'd finish the bloody game soon and cough up some more cred for another.  I have no idea if they found the clue or not......last time I'm sellin' that bloody game, it's just not financially worthit...takes to long to bloody finish the damn thing."

Hannibal falls quiet and just looks at the group trying to gauge your reactions.

<<B.B.@Jimmy Locke:  Hey buddy.  That symbol, it looks to be connected to an AR-interactive BTL game called "9 Lives" if the info I just got is right.  Sounds like a venus man trap thing.  Getting beetle-kiddies hooked on a game and using that game to deliver them, full of happy chemicals straight into the arms of... some chump whose number's come up.  If you've got any info to dump, I'd be happy to hear it.>>

"Hi.  Tech support...  Can you pick the chip out of a lineup?"

I flash up the ARO symbol we found earlier. "Have you ever seen this symbol before?"

@B.B.:
Hannibal: "Ya, I should actually have at least one chip on me..."
He reaches into his trenchcoat and pulls out a little stack of chips bound together with a rubber-band which he removes and shuffles through, quickly pulling out a smudged fluorescent green chip with '9 L' scribbled on it in permanent marker.
This is it right here...I have no idea who comes out with most of the shit I got...it's always a friend of a friend of a friend got it from some Aztlaner...you know how it is.  This one's real good though, most of the time I just run a chip through a game-hacker program when customers get stuck, but this chip was air-tight....I had to use my superior wit in order to solve it for the boys....I personally still haven't slotted it yet though, and for 50 nuyen i'll let ya have it."

@Woofer:
"I don't know where this one in particular comes from, I buy them whole-sale...mostly the popular ones, but on occasion I wind up with one or two chips of the more obscure variety like this one....you're lucky I got this one right here on me....aside from the boys, I don't think I've ever had any other customers buy 9 Lives."

@Cynthia:
"That, oh ya...I remember the boys had drawn that symbol out and brought it over to me when they were trying to figure out the clue they were stuck on.  Once you finish the actual VR levels of the game and you gotta go out on the streets to keep on progressing, he said that all the clues they had found thus far were all labeled with that symbol right there in some way.  Apparently you gotta have a real sharp eye though....no usin' the matrix to try and do a data-search for them.....like I said, the programing is airtight....you'd think if even a few people have played the game, at least something would come up on the web....but not a bloody thing."

<<B.B.@Team: Wow, pusher-man knows an awful lot about us and our situation.  He sure is talkative and eager to please...  he tells anyone about us and it compromises everything.  OpSec, blown.>>
<<B.B.@Cynthia:  Walks.. how many times did you shoot that guy, Sam?  When I went to put the note on his horn, I.. don't think he was breathing.. I don't know..>>

"Woooow, you'd sell that to me?"  Brian does his best 'little kid' impression.  "You must not be very picky about your clients, omae...  How's that working out for you, by the way?"
<<Sam@Hannibal: Outlook not so good.>>

<<B.B.@team: I say we make him slot it and I follow him through the game in AR.  We power through, follow the clues and find this mystery programmer.>>

Mercedes smiles her loveliest at Hannibal, "I might take you up on that offer, one of these days. But for now we got some biz to take care of, so we'd better just take the chip and see if we can't find the wayward youths." She glances over at B.B., shaking her head slightly, thinking they don't need to have him slot the chip to figure it out.

[OOC: She'll transfer the 50¥ to Hannibal and if nobody has any more questions for him, I say we cut him lose and let B.B. rip into the chip to see what's there. Also, any chance Hannibal becomes a new contact for me? ;)]

I nod my agreement. "I thank you for your time Hannibal."

I get out of the car and let Hannibal go unless someone is objecting. "I think we need some recon. Why don't I look around using my stealth?"

After transfering the funds from your bank to his credstick and giving Mercedes the chip, he moves to get out.

Hannibal: Sounds good mate, I guess I'll be seein' ya, and remember....y'never heard none this from me."

Already out of the car and leaning into the open backdoor and looking at Mercedes he winks, "if you need to get in touch with me deary, here's m'commcode....I got a cure for whatever ails'ya.".  He closes the door and makes his way back down the block back toward Redmond Way which is now bustling with people.

[OOC: All of you can add Hannibal as a contact with Loyalty 1 / Connection 3.]
