"Whew..." Brian was relieved that Mercedes was sooo damned good at talking people into crazy shit.  Also, that these guys were strictly low-tech.  If they had any scanners around here, Mercedes would have had to talk a dude's face off to explain why there was a tiny man with a fully silenced PDW ready to spring at them like out a bad horror sim.  As Woofer climbed back into the car and Mercedes back to her bike, Brian decided it's a good idea to at least hack into their comms frequency.  "Those boys get to arguing over rights and Johnny Blueballs back there might put word ahead to intercept us in force for a closer look.  Should crack the mage's comm first since he's most likely to radio ahead so they'll expect us.  When slash if he does, I'll let you know what he says."  B. B. set his bit-flooder to attach a massive hex header to all his outgoing commands, and it easily overwhelmed the the sad little firewall the souped up walkie-talkie relied on.  He used the newly gained security access to first hook into the sound feed and then dropped a ruin package to take care of the link's logs and ID datastore. <<@ team: About a minute from now, their comms are going to be pretty scrambled.  They might be able to receive incoming calls if they're not set to auto-reject unknown numbers, but they definitely won't be calling out.  At least not to anyone they know.>>

[OOC:  Going for a security level access, in order to access the audio feed on a different account, so I'd only need 4 hits to beat his firewall.
4 skill + 2 Improved Skill (hacking) + 5 program + 1 PuSHeD + 3 nanites = 15d6.hits(5) → [1,3,4,1,6,3,5,2,5,4,2,5,2,6,1] = (5)  breeze in as I please.
Rolling Firewall + Analyze extended.  2d6.hits(5) → [4,6] = (1) so one against the threshold of 5.  Needs four more, and I only need two more actions, so he needs all hits to detect the intrusion.
2d6.hits(5) → [2,5] = (1)
2d6.hits(5) → [6,1] = (1)

So, that's for the two actions.

I want to set a timed Corrupt "bomb" on his access log and his ID registry (basically, his saved phone numbers,) set to activate in 60 seconds.  Corrupt, should, instead of deleting the data, just alter it slightly into uselessness.  He'll have a list of ID numbers to call, but they'll not work, or they'll call wrong numbers.  All of this should have taken Brian about 3 seconds/IPs to accomplish.  Since it's so easy to do, can I just handwave the next two?  There's no way that they're going to get  5 hits in the time it takes to set this up.  Especially since I only need to take the one action since I'm not listening in, and I don't (think I) need security access just to corrupt files.

[Additional OOC:  Since I have the time and the inclination, can I use my current access to their links to set up a Reusable Exploit (Unwired p97) on the two cybered-up guy's PANs?  That way I can get a +6 dp bonus if I need to get back into their biz at an admin level later to bruce their cybernetics.  It's a hacking + exploit test with a threshold equal to system + firewall (so 2) and an interval of 1 IP.  Buying hits, I can hack, corrupt and set up the exploit hole all in 3 seconds for each of the two grunts.  Should be able finish the whole thing, all three comms, in about the same time it would take you to read this sentence out loud.  Something to consider though is that setting up the exploit would give the other two an additional roll to spot my presence since it's more activity.  That takes their chances of spotting me from zero to very near zero.  I wasn't sure how you wanted to use diminishing DP on a firewall test since, once inside the node, the interval isn't timed, but is instead every time I take an action.

@B.B.
[OOC: Ya you can set up the reusable exploit.]
You notice that once you're in the first Commlink, that gives you security access to the other ones.

@Mercedes:
He looks at you and gets that familiar distant sleepy look in his eyes that people get when your mojo enhanced charm is working on them.
The Shaman whispers in your ear "Ok, you come back out this entrance way and I'll be waiting right here!"  He comes back out of the shadows of the wall near the entrance way to where Woofer is standing.

He tells the guards, "Ok it seems like we're good to go with these two, just check the car to make sure it's clean and then let them through."

His work done, Brain looked up to see the two guards headed over to the car. "Shit! shit!"  Quick as he could, B.B. unhooked his quickdraw holster and gun and shoved it under the front seat.  He unhooked his stun baton and dropped it on the floor lazily, figuring that guards armed with assault rifles wouldn't be too worried about a zapper.  Finally he kicked on the interior light, rolled down the window, cleared his goggles of all but the most basic AR overlays and looked up at the armed Ork with his normal thousand-yard stare.  "Yo, cuz...  I like those caps you got.  What kind of metal you use for that?"  He made a gesture by his mouth to indicate the guy's tusks while, with a thought, he called up his cred program, ready to fork the toll.

@B.B.
The guards look quite amused but just peek in the window and do a quick glance at the interior of the car
[OOC: roll to see if the find your weapons: Perception 3 + Intuiton 4 + Actively looking for +3 = 10 (5) 10d6.hits(5)=3.]

They then ask you to step out of the vehicle.

@Rest of group:
They don't seem to see anything of interest from peering in the window and then they ask Woofer to pop the the trunk.

[OOC: Cynth's bag has Sam's sawed off and machine pistol in it, at least.  My bag has two extended 44 rnd clips of explosive ammo for my Ceska, and my P93 E (which is 11F kind of military hardware) with its spare 50 rnd mag.  So, basically, a small arsenal. /OOC]

Brian's goggles flickered a little as he mentally called up his exploit program and went to work slightly wiggling his fingers.  "What's with the hassle man?"  He keept his conversation going even as he hacked the first one of their PANs for admin access.  "I though you guys were cool.  What's gives?"  He had the second one now.  "If it's about the zap bat, I just carry that for the bus.  Little guy like me needs something to keep those Lake Acid punks away." He found both of their cybernetic control systems and could now issue a simultaneous command to muck each of their systems with a thought.  See how well they keep up without that chrome.
He cracked the door in a show of compliance, still ready to move quickly if this search got a bit too thorough.

[OOC:  rolls.  Composure test to see if nanite bonus stays in effect.  6 willpower +2 Charisma = 8d6.hits(5) → [3,1,2,6,2,3,5,5] = (3)

4 skill + 2 Improved Skill (hacking) + 5 program + 1 PuSHeD + 3 Nanites + 6 reusable exploit =
21d6.hits(5) → [1,6,4,5,4,3,4,4,3,1,6,4,2,4,5,2,2,3,1,1,3] = (4)
20d6.hits(5) → [6,5,2,6,2,5,3,1,6,2,5,2,4,2,1,4,1,4,1,3] = (6) that's in
spotting.
2d6.hits(5) → [3,3] = (0)
2d6.hits(5) → [6,1] = (1)
not a chance.

Next guy.
21d6.hits(5) → [3,4,1,1,1,6,3,5,2,4,3,4,4,2,4,3,2,6,1,2,6] = (4)
20d6.hits(5) → [5,3,3,6,4,1,1,2,6,3,1,6,3,4,3,2,4,1,4,4] = (4) also in
this guy's firewall
2d6.hits(5) → [5,1] = (1)
2d6.hits(5) → [5,6] = (2)

0h n0es!  he might figure out that he's been hacked by the time I cut off all his cyber.

A couple analyze rolls to find their cybernetic's control centers.

11d6.hits(5) → [3,6,6,6,1,1,5,5,5,5,4] = (7)
11d6.hits(5) → [6,3,1,2,2,1,3,2,5,6,5] = (4)

AFIR, analyze isn't considered "taking an action which effects a node," since it's a passive gathering of data and analysis on my own link.  If you want me to roll their firewall + analyze again, I can..  if guy 2's roll comes up with two hits it'll trigger an alert..

Walks back towards the mage, smiling that smile. Somehow she found time to unbutton two more buttons of her shirt as she walked back to the mage. "Jeez, is this how you guys treat new customers? We're just here to have a little fun!"

She gets really close to the mage, hands in her jacket pockets (holding on to her Élan, just in case), looking up at him with her big brown eyes and pouty lips.

Con/Seduction (16d6.hits(5)=6)

I will kneel to a shooters stance and take aim on the mage. I will hold my action until someone else does something, but am ready to taser him if things start to go down.

O.O.C. is the mage still behind the other two guards or are they all abreast at this point or how are they in relation to each other. I am mainly curious about who the mage can currently counterspell for.

I am keeping Mercedes and anyone else currently outside the car in sight so I can counterspell for them also if possible, but the taking aim on the mage is the primary goal then counterspelling line of sight

@Mercedes:
[OOC: remember, con isn't like Jedi mind control....it means you either convinced him into believing something and/or seduced him.  So now he's an ork that thinks he's gonna get some for sure for sure, but he's still going to react according to the situation.  If you want to actually push someone's thoughts a Control Thoughts spell would be more appropriate.  If you cause trouble in the neighborhood and the boss gets wind that it was this Crusher's fault, that's usually a bullet in the head.]

The Shaman looks at you and smiles, "This'll only take a second, I need to get a look at the little guy, look in your trunk to make sure there's no other people in there and then you guys can go on in and i'll see you on the way back out"  He calls over to the guards "It's cool he can stay in the car, i'll check it out" and then starts walking toward the vehicle.  The guards just look in the trunk quickly once Woofer opens it and don't really seem to care about the bags in the back.  They make stroll back over to stand alongside the vehicle.

@B.B.
[OOC: the guards didn't see any of your weapons when they looked in, so they didn't see the baton.  None of them noticed you getting into their PANs.]

Once he gets close enough to the open window your thermographic vision sees the little electronic shudders behind his irises adjust to focus on you.

[OOC: Assensing 2 + Intuition 4 + Barren City Street 1 = 7 7d6.hits(5)=3.  He can tell your magic attribute is the same as his.]

His eyes open up wide suddenly with terror and he raises his hands to shoulder level, mana crackling over his finger-tips.  "Cover the human and the bitch!!",

@Everyone
[OOC: Ok, everyone roll initiative, no surprise roll.  Only mercedes will roll a surprise roll with a +3 on the initiative pass that she makes her presence known (that doesn't include infiltrating).  People can move 8 meters per initiative pass because there are 3 initiative passes/ turn.
--Cynthia is behind the wall (south face) right up against the entrance but observing everything with her ruthenium polymer engaged.  Weapon ready.
--Mercedes is in front of the entrance.  I"ll say your weapon is ready and can be drawn with a free action.  The entrance is about 3 meters away.
--B.B. is in the backseat of the car with the window open.  You are about 1 meter away from the Shaman and the guards are next to him.  You can reach your weapons with a simple action.  As of now he's outside of LOS from Cynthia or Mercedes.
--Woofer is behind the car standing in front of the open trunk.  Weapon not ready.
--The car with the guards and shaman standing alongside the drivers side (they are on the other side of the car from the wall) is 10 meters away from Mercedes and Cynthia to the east.  It is parallel with the wall which is 3 meters to the south.  The guards and shaman are in counterspelling LOS of each other.

Remember to declare counterspelling with a free action if you're going to use it.

Initiative rolls: Shaman 8d6.hits(5)=0, Guard1 10d6.hits(5)=3, Guard 2 10d6.hits(5)=2.
Initiative Scores: Guard1: 13, Guard2: 12, Shaman:8.

I think it will work just fine if I roll npc defenses, you just roll the actions that you want to do.  I'll let you roll your defenses too unless I want to speed things along and then I might just roll a couple of your defenses.]

OOC She Who Walks Through Walls roll

8d6 → [6,3,6,2,4,6,2,5] = (34) for 4 hits
HTML
    <a href="http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2757392/">8d6=34</aBBCode
    8d6=34

So my Initiative is 12.

I'll counterspell for all of the team that I can see at this point. So I understand I cannot see either the shaman nor the other guards at this point? How would I have to move in order to see them if I don't right now?

Do you mean Cynthia rolls a surprise test?

Initiative Test (7d6.hits(5)=3)

Initiative 7+3=10

Mercedes' action is going to depend totally on what happens before her.

I suppose cynth seems like the only one in a position to surprise anyone.  The rest of us are all acting on the mage's word.

[OOC: Initiative scores: Guard1-13, B.B.-13, Guard2-12,Cynthia-12, Mercedes-10, Woofer-9, Shaman-8.
Since the group edge of the Crushers is higher, they win the initiative tie.

Guard1's turn:The guard nearest Woofer swings his AK-97 around to point it at him and delays his action until Woofer acts.

B.B.'s turn: you can shut off the wired reflexes with a simple action per guard because it's a command to a device that accepts your access ID.  So I assume you are using two of your simple actions to shut off both of the armed guards wired reflexes off so then you have a free action left this pass.

New Initiative scores: B.B.-13, Cynthia-12, Guard1-11, Guard2-10, Mercedes-10, Woofer-9, Shaman-8.
Cynthia's up next......  So you can post but don't declare your actions until Cynthia has unless you know for sure what you want to do and then i'll post that action when your action phase comes up.]

@Woofer
You see the guard closest to you whip around and square the barrel of his smartlinked AK-97 straight at you when suddenly he twitches a little and the last part of his motion slows way down; B.B.'s fingers flying over AR screens as he manages to power down the Crushers wired reflexes!

[OOC: remember taking cover or ducking out of cover takes a free action.  Cynthia is LOS to the Crushers though because she was looking out from cover.]
