"Wait!...." Olivier exclaims almost inaudibly as his gaze looks up from the floor. He is obviously directing himself to the team but his eyes are transfixed on Isamu. "The more I consider it, the more it makes sense that this was all meant to happen for reasons perhaps slightly different than what I had intended or foreseen." His eyes grow narrower as he looks jealously at the two boys and how the crouching Jeshua is clasped to the legs of his former friend. "I think that my original intention of delivering this pathetic ghoul back to the doorsteps of his parents' enclave maybe was not such a bad idea save for what the real purpose of such a sequence of a events actually might be........to deliver Jeshua from out of my way. To be rid of the only true obstacle still standing between me and the one I love. I thought that Jeshua's presence here would be rather inconsequential, an annoyance at worst. So I decided to let him stay if all of you decided that it was not worth the trouble to take him away. My main purpose now being to form a life with Isamu, I didn't think Jeshua's fate any longer played a role in ours....but I now see I was mistaken."
He then turns his gaze towards the group. "I have looked into the dark depths of infinity and beyond to divine the purpose of such a course of events that are now playing out before our very eyes. Clarity has been elusive and for quite some time now I have not been able to see past this present moment right here which we have now arrived to. This usually is indicative of a major decision which I myself or others around me must make. I interpreted the solution through this impasse was to allow all of you to decide what Jeshua's fate would be and I would merely put my faith in love. Now I am realizing that love isn't just about letting go. Love is also about fighting for it as well.....don't you think this to be the case?." He then looks back over at Isamu and speaks to him.
"Isamu, I know this isn't what you want and I know that Jeshua belongs to you and who am I to separate the two of you. But I must speak up now. I implore you to give Jeshua over to these people so he can be taken back to his parents and you and I can be free. He is all that stands between you and me now and although you might not realize it, he is all that is really stopping your heart from feeling about me the same way I feel about you."
Isamu looks back at Olivier and scoffs. "Listen you crazy old man, I really appreciate you giving me the gift of eternity and letting me hang out and all that, but you're actually really starting to creep me out. So if you wanna take sides with these mere mortals, be my guest, but i'm outa here and i'm taking J with me. I kept my end of the deal and I stayed here at least until these people arrived like you asked. So they're here now but I'm really sorry, J's not going anywhere with them, he's coming with me and the both of us are gonna get the hell out of here and definitely the hell away from you!"
In the silence that follows what Isamu just said you can clearly see from Olivier's expression that the last words have cut him deeply.
Before you can even figure out what's happening you see a flash of mana envelope Jeshua and lift him several meters in the air. Once everyone gets their bearings on the situation you see Olivier breathing rather heavily with a look of intense rage on his face as he stares at Isamu and Jeshua simply hovers close to the ceiling of the auditorium wrapped in swirling mana and looking scared as hell albeit unscathed.
"It has been a pleasure to have you visit me here this evening but I now must ask you to leave and get this vile creature out of my sight!" The two vampires stare at each other intensely and you can see that Olivier is moving Jeshua's hovering form closer and closer to the exit of the auditorium.
