Anyone have any thoughts on whether used alphaware exists? I'd like to make a character that has all used 'ware but some of it should be higher end stuff. Thanks.

As long as it uses the mechanics for Used ware, I wouldn't really have a problem with what it was originally.

Used Alphaware was a grade in SR4, but it is not available as of yet in SR5 as far as I'm aware.

Any ware that has already been implanted automatically becomes used when removed, regardless of the grade it was previously.

Are you talking SR4 or SR5? If you are talking SR5, then Used Alphaware does not exist, as Alphaware and above is specifically tailored for your physiology. If you are talking SR4, then Augmentation has rules for Used Alphaware, but Betaware and Deltaware are too specifically tailored to the recipient to be Used.

There are 5 grades: Used, normal, Alpha, Beta, Delta. No combinations exist. Used only exists for cyberware and non-cultured bioware.
