A vehicle is chasing you. You dump a amount (or paint grenade) of  industrial lubricant behind you.  What sort of challenge does that inflict on the driver of the pursuing vehicle when they enter that area? Does the speed of the vehicle entering the zone matter?

You sabotage a vehicle lot where pursuit vehicles are stored.  Your spray the wheels with the lubricant. What happens when they try to drive?

i would call for a crash test from the vehicle going through the patch of lubricant at speed. Unless they had some kind of special tires

As for stored vehicles it seems like they would spin tires for a moment before working their way through the lubricant. If you really slather it on the driver may need to get out and scrape or wash it off.

The paint grenade during a high speed chase seems highly effective. Especialy if you could throw more than one at a time!

Rules-wise, I would call for a crash test in the first example.  For the second example, i would reduce the affected vehicles' Acceleration by the number of coated tires until the lubricant is removed.

Acceleration? That would mean many vehicles would not be able to move with just one tire. Why not handling?

Pick up the Spy Games book and look at the Slick Grenades. They were pretty much exactly this kind of thing, though I'm too lazy to look it up right now.

That's only four vehicles.  The Scoot and Growler both have two wheels, so this makes sense.  The Bulldog and Roadmaster are just slow to begin with.  The reason I chose Acceleration is that in a vehicle chase test, Acceleration is the one factor that is the same between a Handling- and Speed-based chase sequence.

Idunno, I find it a bit unrealistic that 1 bum tire would freeze the Roadmaster.

Well yeah - the Roadmaster might be something of a special case.  But then, I feel like it should probably have more acceleration to begin with.  :P

Nah, it seems fair that the thing is sluggish as hell in getting up to speed. It means you got a decent shot at getting away from it before things turn into a vehicle chase, and it's not as if it's strange that such a heavy car goes from 0 to 100 in 9 seconds. Plenty of pickup trucks with comparable times and those aren't heavily-armored cars.

Don't go using the oil slick if you've got a turn to make and theres a chase vehicle right behind you. You'll brake, he won't be able to and you can see where this is going.

If you are driving a RoadMaster this might work out in your favor.

Goober looks at you and says "Alright.  Should I even ask why you want me to install this ramming plate on the back of your truck, or am I better off not knowing?"

Jeeze.  It would almost sound stupid until you realize we're talking about an immortal elf clown sword fighting a dragon ghost in a mall.

ok, it sounds fun enough. Rigging up the van with two rear weapon mounts, one of which is a grenade launcher filled with industrial lubricant grenades. (Unless they come up with a sprayer attachment sometime soon).  The other, hmm, proper weapon to take advantage of this.....

The 'proper weapon' you're thinking of would be an assault cannon modded to FA.
