"What of the trail she could track us by then?" she replies. "Look, I'm all for killing those knife ears, but my own senses tell me that doing this, like this will become taxing on our pack. Leaving a trail of blood is just what a blood mage would want. "

She knew she was starting to push it, but it had to be done. If nothing else, she was prepared to shoot him with her rounds of poison

@ Masquerade   Lupo looks at you, "If you can track her without a scent or a trail of blood spill it now. Let the pack hear your words. " and he looks down at you menacingly. "Unless you're just afraid and trying to run away from the hunt with a show of words."

Masquerade smirked slightly. "Just who do you think I am?" she asks. "Am I not the one who gave you the Intel on the halloweeners? " moving up slowly closer to him, she whispers softly. "I know you're having issues with Bonehead, and Killswitch. What we need is a little quid pro quo . If Bonehead wants to be more aggressive with his little puppy pack, it wouldn't be hard to arrange a little accident."

Stepping back again, she puts her arms behind her back, still smiling. "I've got the ears of the wolf after all, I'll just begin to listen and I'll find the bitch we need to put down."

Arc planted her feet firmly on the ground as Lupo spoke, Tue much smaller human make my sure not to show fear.  She knew that the big troll would lose a lot of face if he submitted to her request to back down, but at the same time she would be shredded alive if she gave in now.  She was about to speak when one of his own, who she recognized SaRaven, started to talk to him in hushed tones.  She allowed herself a small smirk, waiting her turn before clearing her throat.

Aight, Lupo, here's the deal. You want inside info on the keebs?  You're only gonna have one shot with your style before they frag up and close up.  The mojo beastie is gonna only get stronger by that.  So listen up. what say you if I were willing to offer to meet up with a highs up razor ear and go up all representin' what Howlers biz and all that?  Any info that points us where we needs to go, I give it to you, and you gets to say Howlers took part in geeking the fraggiest threat this hood seen.  Worst, meet drek goes south. and since I ain't pure Howler, yo hands stay clean of more botched biz.  Wiz?

@ Masquerade  Rabbit answers, >>You name, I find fast-n-faster bird-gurl.<<
Lupo looks down at you."Find her. Bonehead an his team 'kin be first in for the kill."the look in his eyes is that of the cobra, ready to strike.

@ Arc  Lupo looks at you. "Oil be in your brain girl. You, meetin with 'keebs." he chuffs at you disdainfully and then spits at the ground at your feet, (part insult, part challenge, Lupo is effectively daring you to meet with them).
Howlers shift, waiting and watching, and a few of the older members shift back a bit to get a wider line of fire.

@ Feathers  Tommy looks at you and nods as he shakes your hand. And then looking down at his feet a bit awkwardly he clears his throat, "Well, I'd best get to it then."

Feathers shook his hand, bade him well and headed back out into the cold night.
Pulling his woolen beany hat tight onto his head, he cursed against the frozen night air as his breath clouded in front of his face once more.
He stuffed his hands into his jacket pocket and headed to the meet.
He'd been chatting too long and was probably going to be quite late now, he hurried his pace regardless, his calf muscles straining with the lengthened stride.
Feathers was late, the meet was already in full swing as he arrived.
He smiled at the familiar faces from the morning, straining to recollect their names from the mess of a memory he'd inherited from his old man as he re-introduced himself.
Apologies for the lateness, I've been recruiting and lost track of the time. Where are we up to?

>>Yo Duck, Blindside say he changing the meet. He meet you at the The Market at noon tomorrow.<<

Reading the message that pops up in his field of view, Duck frowns. Shit must be real busy with them boys tonight. Daytime probably better anyhow.

<<@Lil Mik [Duckdown] Wiz.>>

He then stretches his arms out to either side in the backseat and announces, "Well, shit with Blindside done moved till tomorrow, so... I guess we can jus go start scoopin up heads for your howler meet, then, huh?"

One by one, the two of them pick up the rest of the crew Arc had assembled, meandering through the city for about an hour and a half. Duck's not sure what to think of this buncha breeders, so he keeps quiet and listens rather than talking. A couple of these faces he knows, one or two he can even put names to, but for the most part, it's Arc and a buncha strangers. Soon enough, they arrive outside the Skeleton and Arc gives the crew a little pep talk.

"Huu...okay, chummers, here's the deal.  We're about to talk to Lupo, head of the Night Howlers.  These guys take their name seriously, and can smell fear. Just look strong, and look like you're ready to scrap if it fraggin' comes to it, but it won't.  These guys aren't stupid, and won't deal with drek what doesn't look easy.  When you speak, make sure you back what you say, because they don't fraggin' respect a half-hooped talk, aye? And always offer something first...never let them get a favor owed from you.."  She gave a nod, a devious smirk on her face, giving a wave and stepping towards the skeleton.  "Aight, let's do this drek..."

Well, aight. If that's what you want, girl. Duck steps out of the Americar and into the cold Seattle night and takes all three of his shirts off, revealing his bare chest covered only by his armor vest. It's how he dresses when he wants to look "badass" at a concert and it usually works. Once they get out back and away from potential police eyes, he removes his Ingram from it's concealed holster and sticks it down the front of his waistline, making the butt and handle clearly visible. He stays quiet as Arc and her boy throw insults and posturing back and forth. Before long, the threats of dismemberment and nuclear strikes clears way for some actual information to get tossed around. So this bullshit is all Ancients shit, huh? Or at least so says the gang that's beefin with em. I still wanna hear what Blindside says. He stays silent and stares down anyone who dares make eye contact with him, arms folded in front of his chest. It's not until Arc starts talking about a meet with the ancients that Duck feels like he needs to add anything to the conversation.

"Oil be in your brain girl. You, meetin with 'keebs."

"Naw. Me... I meet up with the Ancients." He fixes his cold dead stare on the giant troll for the first time since he arrived. Lupo doesn't so much as blink, sizing up the skinny bare armed ork with the long hair. After a second of silence, Duck continues. "Either the hood come together on this or the hood get fucked. Girl aint playin when she talmbout nukes and shit. That's whats really real, wiz?" If he gets the shit kicked out of him for talking out of place, so be it. Won't be the first time I've worn an assbeating and it won't be the last.

"Oil be in your brain girl. You, meetin with 'keebs." he chuffs at you disdainfully and then spits at the ground at your feet, (part insult, part challenge, Lupo is effectively daring you to meet with them).
Lupo turns and looks at all the pack. "Howler biz is to protect they own. We hunt for the mojo spirit what do 'dis. Mermaid, Merlin you two will hunt 'dis spirit out. I want two teams protecting they bodies, both teams needs people what 'kin kill wid mana case the spirit be done followin dem. Rest o' you form teams for patrols what keep the teams with Mermaid & Merlin in de' center. That spirit be done following dem back to de bodies I want Howlers be on it like a pack. If 'dat spirit 'pear anywhere else on our turf I want de teams to get the mojo teams in on it like wolf be on prey, wiz. Howlers be on de hunt. He snarls loudly, and then lifts his head and neck back to howl loudly at the moon. The rest of the pack, taking heart at his words and his decisiveness, joins him in the howl. They begin to move away, teams forming even as they move.

Arc could not help but raise a brow at the spit, her lip curling into a grin in blatant defiance of the boss troll's bravado.  It's been two long years since she got out of Lupo's sinister, merciless leash, and she had been waiting for a challenge like this, one where she would be a step ahead.  Taking a breath, she put her right hand behind her back, tickling the grip of her Predator as she stepped forward, stomping on the spot where he spit, her sign of accepting his dare.  She opened her mouth to speak, but at that moment she heard the bark of Duckdown echo behind her, causing the short human to pause, her grin widening.

"Naw. That's whats really real, wiz?"

She gave a nod, relaxing her grip and stance, noting the pack already starting to disperse, going to work...between lifestyles and occasional doses of Long Haul, the Howlers definitely worked best at night...fitting.  Tilting her head, Arc added to the skinny ork's words.  "Aye, what he said.  That's why you're gonna have to do a little teamwork biz this time, Lupo.  This spirit is gonna run to this slitch if you hit him hard enough, and both together is bad news.  For that, we got a plan.  We  gots a pro-mo-jo wiz what be learning some kinda bindin' ritual what gonna keep this beastie in one spot..and we gots bait to go wit'it.  Drek ain't gonna happen if we team up, and that's why you's gonna get yo' mojo hoop teams to work with our guy, ya heard?"  Knowing that by this point, at least one other person in the group....Feathers, Raven, Duck, hell, maybe even Red...would probably put in a word or two after her shared info, she stepped back, arms to either side, half a show of defiance while the other half showing she shared her piece.

Lupo face turns darker and meaner at your words. Arc recognizes that face. It's Lupo's face when he's furiously thinking, looking for weakness and advantage. He turns to Duck, sizing him up and down, "Frag, you de ugliest Jake dem 'keebs be slottin'. Bet they make sure your face low enough your tusks make planting holes for they dandelions."

His eyes don't even turn to Arc as she's telling him the hood needs to work together. His eyes are cold & hard on Duck.

"Frag, you de ugliest Jake dem 'keebs be slottin'. Bet they make sure your face low enough your tusks make planting holes for they dandelions."

With what may be the biggest shit eating grin anyone in the alleyway had ever seen, Duck responds. "Yeah I am. And they mommas get mad as fuck when they find out." Then, with his hands held up as though gripping imaginary thighs, he shakes his head back and forth, letting his lips make a smacking noise against his gums as he does. "And I keep my face real low, wiz?"

@ Duck Lupo throws his head back and barks with laughter. When he's able to speak he looks at you and says, "So show me your guy what's handlin' the mojo biz. I wanna know 'xactly what y'all are doing, sides scarin' em wid dem ugly ass faces."

Feathers stepped forward, taking his queue, though slightly unsettled by the altered prose of the street dialect.
That'd be me. Been training all day on a ritual to hold this fucker in place while the mage gets geeked. We've got the best of the best from MIT&T tutoring us but the official response team are still some way out time-wise. I've been recruiting some of the local talent and we'll do our best to either aid the strike team or lock this son of a bitch down while his tether to this world get fucked up by some decent firepower.
He did his best to soften his pronunciation, but he knew his physical age and lack of street lingo would stand out at this meet.
So be it, his talent made him useful if nothing else

@ Feathers  Lupo looks you up & down and then barks, "Mermaid, Merlin, check 'im." Two orcs step forward when he barks there name, both nod at him when he tells them to check you. Immediately both of them are body-blocked on all four sides and held with their team-mates reaching for arms at the same time that they reach for them, and others on the periphery turning out, guns in hands watching for a threat. It was obvious they were supporting and protecting their team-mate. Almost as soon as they're supported the two orcs go slack.

In a few minutes they straighten up under their own power again. Merlin looks at Lupo and says, "He good."
