@ Feathers  Mermaid looks at you, eyes nearly swollen shut with tears. "Tsunamee, I can't hear her no more. She always be talking ta me. 'scept now. I asked her ta shockwave that thing so's that we could get away. And then I heard her scream, it ripped my heart out. An then nothin' I called 'n called . . . she shudders, collapsing against her brother, 'n called." and begins crying again, great, shuddering, silent sobs buried against her brothers shoulder. Merlin doesn't say anything, just holds his sister.

She groaned softly. This was getting annoying. IF only she had time and wasn't needing to rush things along. She wasn't sure why she needed this troll. Why Raven gave her that number in her dreams she doesn't know. She probally did meet him one time in a bar somewhere and got his number and raven was just reminding her he was around.

Rolling her eyes, she knew what she needed to do next was now get a pizza. She hoped the one person who thought she was a pro and possibly intrested in her would just so happen to be an owner of a pizza place. If not.. well, she'll find someone and find them quickly to send the troll another message where "her" pizza place was

Arc saw the message pop up in an ARO in front of her from Duck, her eyes narrowing slightly.  Only half listening to the conversation around her, she shifted just slightly, like one would expect from someone standing.  A slight slide back of the foot, shifting if the weight from one hip to the other, and a stretching of the neck to take a casual glance around, looking to see if any eyes were on them.  Before she could give a response, though, a message came in from Feathers...looks like it had been a few hours.  Sighing quietly, she fired off a reply all.

<<Message Reply(all)
<<You think it was awakening?  Word is already out on the fragging street, homie.  Most of the rumors pin it on five vics this morning, midday.  We gotta step this drek up.  I'll have my survey works up by evening.  Word
Word

Sending off that reply, she resumed her casual scan, looking for anything out of sorts or seemingly unfriendly towards the pair.

@ Arc  The razor girl is watching you impassively.

@ Duck  Blindside looks at you and declines the spliff, "No thank you. We can talk about trading info for some of that 35. But I doubt that anything you know is even worth 5 to me." he says. Naming the price.

@ Masq  You're answer from the troll is a quick in coming. >>Come to 4th & Jefferson and we'll talk about what you're willing to do for that $350.<< Sadly, it's not a pizza place.

She sighed a little checking the address first on her comm before even attempting to go there. She was interested in seeing this bastard, and seeing  what she could get out of him. A breeder, knife ear or maybe even an ork, in a out of the way place. Some place where she could watch him first before moving on with her tasks.

"No thank you. We can talk about trading info for some of that 35. But I doubt that anything you know is even worth 5 to me."

With a tiny shrug, Duckdown intentionally misses the hint at a price and steers the conversation back in the direction he'd wanted all along. "You're probably right. I ain't really know shit that the streets don't know, wiz? So, back to the loan... I done met street sams with more chrome in em than thirty-five can buy, and those dudes came up off gang money, so i know yall ain't broke, so... What kinda terms we talkin here?" he leans back against the back of the chair, taking another hit from his rapidly dwindling spliff and raising an eyebrow at the razorgirl briefly before resuming eye contact with Blindside.

Arc could feel herbjae tensing, almost tasting the rise of adrenaline in her system.  As she thought, they were in no position to try something funny with Blindside, even if they wanted to.  The blips of camera sensor icons showing up as AROs in her vision confirmed that.  Frag, I knew Blindside was paranoid, but drek to hell this is a bit much.... Sending off a reply to Duck, she let him know the sitch.

With that, she tried to relax her stance, the human keeping one hand close to her hip pouch at all times, eyes locking with the razor girl with one brow slightly raised.

The message made the skinny ork feel even more confidant and at ease than he was before. Cameras, not sniper drones. Nice. Paranoid, but not fuckin paranoid. I like this guy.

<<@Arc [Duckdown] Aint no one geekin no one here, girl. Either these fools are gonna say yes or they're gonna say no. I aint sure which is worse just yet, but either way, we're walkin outta here.>>

Explotive landlords, satanic dwarvin foremen, Ten foot tall, 10 troll strong, demonic azzie experimentation lose on the street, and a pizza joint owning mafia don, all in one day? This day sure is a charmer.  Johnny shuffles back to the flop house just trying to put one foot in front of the other. The thought of his pallet the only thing keeping him going. Teddy says something to him as he enters, but Johnny is too zoned out to process the request let alone reply. He staggers into his curtained off area, a smile crosses his face as he notices both Tommy and his books are missing, and he collapses onto the floor, mere inches from the bed Ehh close enough...

The sky is baby blue, the grasses a yellow brown, and the horse beneath him is black as midnight. Johnny has been riding hard for days now, but the town is visible on the horizon. Back in Kansas Marshal Ryder said they needed a sheriff out in these parts and Johnny was looking for a promotion. His revolver glistened on his hip in the mid day sun as his horse trotted into town. Odd no one is out on the streets. Should be bustling this time of day. As the thought crosses his mind he notices a glint in one of the windows. A rifle barrel was pointed right at him! Johnny jumped off the back of his horse, slapped it on the flank and quick drew his pistol. A slow claping came from one of the alleys. A short man rounded the corner. This town don't need no new sheriff hombre, you best be on your way Johnny instantly recognized the notorious outlaw Titanic Terrible Teddy. Who comes up with these slots nick names?

Johnny stands up straight and puffs himself out wide. Nobody gives a drek what you think Terrible teddy, the Law has come to this town ifin you like it or not Teddy spits on the ground Well if that's the way its gotta be then. GET EM BOYS! All the windows on the street open, men roll out of hiding on each roof, and Teddy pulls out his long gun. Johnny smiles, Idiots, i have you outnumbered and surrounded. Faster than lightning he fires off shots into the saloon while diving behind a pile of barrels. Shots fill them with holes and beer spills outi into the streets. Johnny snarls That there was the last straw, I was goin easy on ya He reloads and takes out the three shooters on the roof while grabbing the goon who snuck up behind him, punching him out and using his as a shield to cross the street to get to his buddies. Brass hits the streets, more go in, 6 more shots ring out, and its only Johnny and Teddy alone in the streets, as it always should have been. Teddy turns to run. Johnny adjusts his hat Why do they always think they can run? The whip is out faster than lighting and Freddy falls to the ground, the rifle falling from his grip. Johnny drags him off to jail The law has returned johnny bellows The town people suddenly appear and they cheer their new hero. A buxom lass with hair the color of flax shows up and plants a kiss right on his cheek. Our hero she says As she leans away her skin is darker, her hair now jet black, wasn't she taller a moment ago She leads him off to the mayors office. Skin as white as milk, hair as red as fire, thin as a rail. Wait a sec this aint right the girl looks at him oh its only just started getting weird. A wicked smile across her face. She sits behind the desk and melts like wax and reforms into the mafia don from the pizza joint. Wait a gosh darn min here, what the drek is this?!

A knife blade aprears point side out from the dons chest as he slumps out of the chair into a pool of his own blood. At least Johnny thought it was a knife. A creature covered in bladed arms screams and impossible scream and breaks through the back wall. Johnny rushes out and sees the town ablaze. All the grateful towns folk eviscerated  and strewn across the streets. walls and roofs, while overhead a murder or crows circled. Johnny ran out to the town square where the creature had run. It gives him a murderous smile with far too many teeth and consumes whole its last victim, Tommy. All the while the crows chant All your fault, All your Fault, You let her die All your fault, All your Fault, you let him die, All your fault, All your Fault, You let it die

Johnny awakens with a start. Bolting uprgith so quickly he smashes the lamp off the only table in the room. Sweat pours down his face while he stairs in the mirror. WHAT THE DREK WAS THAT?

The rain is letting up considerably, but the wind has picked up and it's at least ten degrees colder than it was this morning. Combined with the damp it's starting to bite into the flesh of anyone not well protected from it. Customers are starting to really hurry, spending far less time looking and making their necessary purchases quick. It definitely won't be a very profitable day for most of the vendors. But, the food vendors that have hot foods and awnings are doing a brisk business and with far fewer bodies milling around to mask the odor of the food, it's enough to make the mouth water.

@ Duck  Blindside looks at you and calmly says, "What information indeed. So, let me sum it up. You've no information that I would find worth 5k. And you, while a talented musician, have no skills which I would find useful.  You've no skills which would make that money back for me.  The street sam at least is someone I can make good use of. So, while I have enjoyed our meeting, I'm declining your offer of future favors in exchange for 35k. If, and I do mean if, you ever come to Silver with solid evidence of his brothers killer we will support him in any reasonable endeavor to avenge him. But, Silver is far to valuable to risk in some foolish venture with someone who isn't even an elf. So, I'm assigning him a bodyguard when ever he's with you. Someone whos orders will be to kill you first if things go badly for him. And now, since I'm sure we understand each other......I think this meeting is over." He stands then and looks at you. "But, I will wish you good luck and happy hunting." He leaves then. His crew following him, one of them smirking slightly at you.

Feathers did his best to comfort her, clearly upset as she was.
Its ok, she'll have been hurt, but not killed.
When spirits get badly hurt, they become disrupted and return to their home plane. She'll need time to rest up but she'll be ok.

Duck stands at the same time Blindside does and shakes his hand politely. "Too bad. I was really looking forward to doing business with you. Good luck in the future, wiz?" He watches the group of elves walk away into the rainy afternoon, puckering his lips in a kiss and winking at the one who turned around to smirk at him. Then, spoken a tiny bit more loudly than is needed, and just loud enough for the gangers to hear, he says to Arc, "I guess your boy Lupo was right, girl. Fuck it, right? We got enough of the hood, we ain't need everyone, wiz?"

The two of them walk back toward the waiting americar, passing by the sax player as they do. He stops briefly and says, "You're good, but they paid you too much for this gig. Wastin talent like yours on shit that aint shit but some paranoid bullshit ass bullshit." while looking her in the eye. He then continues on his way, putting his soaked and filthy grey hoodie back on as he goes.

@ Masquerade  The address is in Bellevue, near where Ares has a major corp. almost to the harbor. There's enough businesses there to blend in. But observing him would take a significant chunk of your time.

@ Feathers  Mermaid looks up at you, hope springing in her face, "Are you sure?"Her brother answers her, "Course prof is sure. He be knowing drek. He be trained mage, wiz. It be ok. Tsunamee be back an she be telling you all 'bout it. You just wait an see. It be aight." He looks up at you gratefully as he holds his sister. Lance looks relieved as well. The resilience of trolls is well documented. But, he still looks as beat as you feel. The three fall asleep in a group huddle.

Arc did her best to nonchalantly send off a reply, doing her best to hide her stress at the matter.

<<Message Reply: Feathers
<<Frag if I know, man, this just be what I heard!  I don't know nothin' bout no cops or locale.  Either this thing's getting bold, or some hoop royally pissed either it or the slitch off.  I find out more, I tell you

She focused back on the meeting at hand just in time for it to end, tensing as the ork and elf men shook hands.  Blinking twice, she followed Duckdown's lead and turned to leave, shivering a bit and pulling her black hood over her head.  She stiffened and paused at the one comment Duck made, obviously as a bait towards Blindside...

"I guess your boy Lupo was right, girl. Fuck it, right? We got enough of the hood, we ain't need everyone, wiz?"

She gritted her teeth, holding her head low and her tongue in check, only momentarily distracted by his comments towards the foreign elfette.  Tilting her head, the human looked at him for answers before it finally dawned... He thinks she was with the Ancients...frag, guess I didn't see it.  Hm...  Shrugging it off, she coughed into her hands to  keep them warm as they worked themselves through the Market, waiting twenty whole seconds before speaking her mind, opening with a rather weak jab to the ork's stomach.  "Hoi...you call Lupo my boy again, I'ma hit lower, ya heard?  Still, bad luck, getting slotted like that.  As much of drekheads as they were, we coulda used some of their mojo."  She sighed, rubbing at her implants.  "Aight...I gots ta get to work on those fraggin' sensor cameras...you need anyplace else?"
