"Use Influence" is the GM spending to much time studying other systems to try and figure out what she wants her next VT Campaign to be. Glad you're well accustomed to my particular brand of clarity CJ. Thx for the roll & it's breakdown. You're the bomb! *blows kiss*

learned the hard way for not taking them routinely on chars so make a point of having at least one social skill on my sheets now

These are my init. rolls for gangers. You can safely assume the ratios will hold with the exceptions of several individuals who are higher.

Howler bar fight: 1d6+6 8

howler bar fight: 1d6+7 9

Howler bar fight: 1d6+8 10

Howler bar fight: 1d6+9 11

I do think it's funny that I rolled the exact same thing for each roll :)

Resist Confusion: 9d6t5 4

So duck is cool.

Now, for initiative.

Initiative: 1d6+10 12

also, for if/when it becomes needed for me to see rack,

Resist Improved Invisibility with edge: 14d6t5 6

whoops, forgot the exploding six: 1d6t5 1

wow, another one?: 1d6h6 0

so that's 7 hits, but his mental limit is 6, so that's still good enough.

no problem, there he is.

OK, I have initiative on everyone. I do not want this to take the next 6 weeks so I'm going to do 1 round period. In order to do that I'm going to assume that is completely on with the Howlers and this is instantly a free for all. Each group of 8 ordinary gangers who's initiative I have already rolled will take an action to hit something. I will roll the resist for each and assign everyone in the room a number. The gangers that resist will be gunning for 'Rack, those that do not resist will just hit someone and then I'll roll a die to see who. We'll assume that they either are confused as to who they are hitting, or miss who they're hitting to hit whoever the target is that they actually hit. Obviously if you're a player you will get a chance to respond, and since we'll know in one post how many times you're hit it'll be a bit easier to manage as you'll get to roll the resist for each hit as one post. At the end of that we'll see who's still alive & who's still doing what and say you make it out alive and see if the Howlers have enough survivors etc to still be a viable help in the game. As I will assume that they are at it for 4 rounds and extrapolate each of their dmg, anyone with more than half of their boxes of physical dmg taken is out for story purposes.

initiative: 1d6+10 11
initiative: 2d6+8 14
initiative: 1d6+8 9
initiatve: 2d6+8 14
initiative: 1d6+5 9
initiatve: 1d6+7 8

CJ, are you sure that's your init?

Gloria Dixon (Connections 1, Loyalty 1)
A bartender who works at The Havens, one of your standard shady saloons in Seattle. She’s is a part time adult simvid actress and her figure tells you why.  She works at the bar to “get inspiration” for her roles and to make a bit of side money.  She does hear some interesting and occasionally profitable things from her clientele who tend to say the oddest things when they forget anyone’s listening.  Mostly I just go there to try to keep the demons at bay, but I tip pretty well so I occasionally hear a couple second-hand rumors from her.

Herbie (Connections 1, Loyalty 1)
This slime ball human is a great example of an oxygen thief.  He is a bookie with a heart of stone.  And three trolls.  We have a love-hate relationship.  He loves taking my money if I lose and hates giving it back if I win.  If I can’t find a game going somewhere I can always find him willing to take a bet on almost anything.  There are days when I just cannot stay away from fragging punks like this.  I hate myself for the weakness, but I cannot stop.  The good news is that I win almost as often as I lose, so it has not driven me into poverty.  Yet.

Virtual Goddess (Connections 4, Loyalty 2)
I have no idea who this person is, or even where this person is.  All conversation is done through some sort of voice modulation so I do not even know if my fixer is male or female, despite the matrix handle.  I do know that he/she knows a lot about gangs.  Big gangs, little gangs, European gangs……..any gangs.  I go to him/her when I am looking for the next job.  He/she hooks me up with a gang somewhere that is looking for my skill set.  We seem to be on good terms, but who knows?

Nick Ryder (3, 1)
Officer Ryder was a rare find in the metroplex. An honest cop. He was out to single handedly rid the streets of crime and wasn't willing to cut any corners to do so. Needless to say this upset his superiors, to whom cutting corners was SOP. After stepping on one to many toes, Detective Ryder found himself on and Barrens Beat. A literal death sentence. His first day on the beat he interrupts a mugging. Four orks beating on the most strangely dressed troll. The orks were too busy telling that slotting fragger to mind his own damn business between rib kicks to see Ryder round the corner and let off a few shots from his trusty side arm. Johnny, grateful to his new rescuer, brought him out for a few drinks. Over their beers they discovered a mutual interest in cleaning up the streets. Johnny calls on him when things need to be handled "on the books" and Ryder calls on Johnny when things need to be handled "off the books"

Three-Fingers (3, 2)
Three fingers runs an honest to ghost saloon out on the edge of tourist town. Johnny was drawn there as soon as he could afford his first fake ID. Cowboy memorabilia dots the walls and a mechanical bull adorns the bars back corner with pride. Noticing Johnny's "natural talents" and fashion sense, he hires him to bounce from time to time during the busy season. Best part is that Johnny usually takes his pay in drinks. It's a win win for them both.
