Search 1: Matrix Search (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 5
Search 2: Matrix Search (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 3

And assuming Archive is aware of the fact that Breeze's killer is a student at A&M, he would also search for any info on him while inside the host before stepping out. Matrix Search (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 5

Archive hits the threshold for finding a file he believes to be the blueprints of the airport.

I'm ok with the assumption that Archive knows Niles Gray is a student.  Student records would be in the library.  We can retcon that he searches for those before heading to mine, as that's probably what Archive would do.  That roll would find those records no problem.  If you want to look for anything deeper, then you'll need to head to City Hall, where more sensitive data would be kept.  You can apply your roll to either tactic.

Yeah, I figured it was probably in the files he got from Breeze or something. Still not totally clear on how much Jack knows of the knowledge the PCs have.

And he's not gonna go hacking another host after the effort it took to get into this one. I'll let Renegade handle that after I get all relevant info from A&M.

There won't be another Host, just a different "location" in this one.  It's purely a flavor thing, as Hosts are represented in 3D

Ah, okay. If its in the same host, he'd be looking for the sensitive records. He IS trying to track this guy down to have him murdered, after all.

Ok, when you get to the Town Hall, you pull up 2 files that hit on "Niles Gray."

I think we're ready for rolls to grab each of the files you want to grab.

Without digging into the vagaries of owner/MARKs/files/etc, Bookworm did whatever she could do to open up Breeze's deck to Archive. I think it's safe to say that Archive probably knows what we know if you want. Probably the easiest way considering the personnel changes, et al.

I don't think anyone's up for keeping secrets.  I know I missed stuff when I did Hopeless' spiel, but I'm fine assuming that Red-Eye is completely caught up.

@Ryo, I need Edit File actions for any of the files you'd like to copy.

Their names:
<<Gray, Niles/Complete_Profile/Index/Security Threats on Campus.dox>>
<<Staff Meeting:Restricted/MS/20-4-2075/full-text-audio.sync>>
<<Easterwood.Airport.Blueprints.flx

Well first I'll do Matrix Perception checks to make sure they're not Protected or have Data-Bombs.

File 1: Matrix Perception (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 8 Good lord, I hit my Data limit on 12 dice.
File 2: Matrix Perception (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 4
File 3: Matrix Perception (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 8 haha, again. Geez, wish I was saving these rolls for something more important.

But yeah, if there's a Data-Bomb or Protection on any of the files, I move on to check the others. Breaking protection is an Attack action, so that's something I'd save for last.

Honestly, I Poindexter had NO idea Big Daddy was a student at the school. I didn't realize a great many of the things it seems hopeless should have, as everyone else seems to have figured them out real quick like.

Mind giving me a quick "catch-me-up" on all the things Hopeless should understand as truth or at least strongly suspect based on information given?

EDIT: Please pardon my density. I go through these phases...

I honestly didn't know for sure until R&B said it. I wasn't sure if the RF was an officially recognized campus organization consisting only of students or something else. At best, Bookworm was pretty damn sure BD and Niles Gray were one and the same. It probably would have been a relatively easy Matrix Search to turn up Niles Gray as an A&M student.

The only other major thing that Breeze uncovered was the strong possibility that Drampe was secretly funding RF activities, probably as a False Flag operation.

See, I had NO CLUE.
Just to walk it through:

Breeze snagged a bunch of RF-related files off of BD's commlink. The RF files themselves had annotations with the initials of BD, which kind of cemented Big Daddy as affiliated with the RF. The type of work he was doing was information/research. The RF roster listed Niles Gray as the RF Information Specialist. It's certainly possible that Niles Gray was contracting with BD for research, but the way the responses worked (with the President of the RF responding directly to BD), it seemed pretty clear Niles Gray and BD were one and the same.

No data bomb, protected file, rating 5.  <<Administrator MARK required>>  Nice roll.  Last update to file was 20-4-2075.  What else can I tell you?

File 2: Matrix Perception (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 4
File created 20-4-2075 at 10:30.  File edited 20-4-2075 at 11:15.  No data bomb, protected file, rating 4

File 3: Matrix Perception (Computer 6 + Intuition 4 + Hot-Sim 2): 12d6t5 8 haha, again. Geez, wish I was saving these rolls for something more important.
No data bomb, file created 3-3-2070.  No file protection.

@Jack, do you have any questions about BD or Niles Gray that you'd like to explore while Ryo's doing his digging?  If you'd like, we can field some of those through more matrix searching.

@Poindexter, what's Hopeless up to?

Error is kicking back and eyeing the mini-fridge.

OOC: I'm more interested in Odysseus Max since Ryo is developing a lot of information on Niles (not that I know that IC), but I don't know if my searching turned up anything. With that said, I think most of my searches have been on the Grid, so I think that I'm a little advanced in the timeline at the moment.

I would probably do a search for posts by anyone with the user name of Niles Gray of Big Daddy to find out interests/hobbies, posting habits, preferred locales, etc. Bookworm is big on synthesizing open source information to try to develop information.

@Poindexter, what's Hopeless up to?

Honestly, I've been wracking my brain about this very question for weeks it seems like. Ian feels utterly helpless and powerless at this point. He's never done ANYTHING as ballsy as stealing from an airport and not only is he in WAY over his head here, but he's also IN CHARGE of the damn team. I think both he and I are both feeling a bit paralyzed by perceived inadequacy here and neither of us are quite sure what to do. I mean, the reason Ian was even brought in on the job was cause he knows the layout and security. Now, I feel lost.

Perhaps i should just do an IC post about that, but I feel it could get rambly as all hell.

Just wait for us to get more information. If we can get an image of Niles, you could technically whistle up a spirit to hunt him down with a remote task.
