Here's a little montage if you don't know what I mean.

I want to build a heavily cyber'd yakuza killer for my next run as a regular NPC contact. Is there anything in game that does what I'm thinking about? I saw that there are hidden gun arms, so probably I'll hook him up with one of those for his other arm. Tips appreciated!

a retractable Spur
(or rather 2. One that pops out in Front and a second that pops out at the Elbow)

4e's Retractable Arm Blade. (Way of the Samurai)
that thing has a reach of 1 and I always wondered how you could implant an aproximately 1 Meter long Blade in the Arm without getting difficulties in bending the Arm at the Elbow.
Either you can't bend the Arm anymore or you need to implant a two-part-Blade that you have to link when it pops out. But when you have a Blade made of 2 pieces its bound to break at the connection point. ImO its not a good Idea to have a Sword with a rated Break Point ;)
And a  solid, strait Blade is impossible to be planted in a Human Arm (no Problem in a Troll Arm though) if you want to keep your Elbow working.
a Spur otoh is just as long as your Elbow and thus you can implant two of them (one popping out in Front and one in the Back)

If that confuses you, then just think about the Victorinox Memory Blade.

thats quite a good Idea :)

oh, wait it takes one round for the Blade to solidify....
AND its done with Nanites that have their own inherent Problem in SR5 now....
Hmmm, in SR4A it could work.
Hmmm
The Crunch difference between Spur and Blade is +500 ¥and + 0.2 Ess  for Reach +1 and AP -1
essentially 2 Dice advantage for 0.2 Essence.
OK I'll give it a second thought .

Our Sammy wanted something like that too. GM let him put one in his cyberarm, basically, it was a spur with increased cost and capacity (4? 5? Can't remember).

The blade Adam Jensen's got is about 30 cm long, just like this:

SR5 p. 458 Cyber melee weapon - Spurs (retractable)
For a quarter of a century now, cyber-implant melee weapons have been the classic, favored toys of razor guys, from street muscle to professional urban samurai. They are available as cyberarm upgrades, but can also be installed directly into the flesh. Cyber weapons can be readied via muscle flexture, neural impulse, or wireless signal. Attacks with cyber melee weapons use Unarmed Combat skill and the Physical limit...
...Spurs are one to three blades or spikes protruding from the back of your wrist or your knuckles, sticking out from your fist as much as thirty centimeters.

Higher than standard Grade would probably be preferable, if your pocketbook allows.  Too bad there isn't a SR5 analog for SR4a's Plasteel/Ceramic materials.

These 2 options will/used to increase the imperceptibility of your individual hidden arm slicer.

oddly i was thinking about this the other day, how do you get a really long blade into a very small space.

In the end it seemed that some variant on a memory metal tape measure type blade where the blade rolls up into a small cartridge much like a tape measure seemed neat and plausible.

there are materials that harden when you pass a current through them so there is that.

you could pop out a pretty long blade pretty quick and retract it just as quick, which is what good 'ol deuce was doing.

wouldn't be as strong as a normal sword or blade but with some 2075 materials science likely good enough.

you could put two of them in each arm i guess to get the fist/ elbow options, or maybe just a single one with a two-way flap to send it out your fist or out your elbow.

I recall reading something about memory ceramics that could change shape depending on temperature.
