Levitate :P

Wait, you meant Raise with a capital R?

That's a bit trickier.

You could insert something like a shedim (or worse) and bring the body back, but what rises won't be what fell down.
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Magic in Shadowrun cannot violate three basic principles: no time manipulation, no resurrection, no teleportation.

Short answer: NO.

Long answer..... what comes back, isn't what died.

The whole "What comes back isn't what died" is often one of the main aspects of Necromancy (in contrast to actually resurrecting a friend). Another aspect of it is also that the creature that returns is under control by the Necromancer.

Is there something like that in SR? Doesn't have to be actual undead, can be spirit possession or anything that would work out the same way?

Vodou tradition allows the mage to prepare vessels for spirits tto inhabit.... and yes, a dead (or living!) Vessel can be used.

Shedim spirits are a form of violent free spirit that loves astrally void bodies of the death... or astrally travelling mages...
