Ena smiles at the server.

"Medium for here would be lovely."

She waits near the counter until they have her drink ready before taking it to the corner table.  Ena makes sure to step past Bex's peripheral vision so she's noticed before sitting down opposite

"Alright Bex?"

You sneak through the first two sets of doors with no issues, the long corridors boxing around the signals room with only minor store cupboards branching off from it.
The next set of doors split into a crossroads of sorts, the toilets to your right and an open door into the signals room to your left. You can hear voices and the background hum of machinery and cooling fans.
You scan the cameras again looking for movement and it all looks clear, so you take your chances and push on to the last set of doors. Before you disengage the lock, your blood runs cold; John? John? come take a look at this mate, its fucked again.
One of the operators aced an audio perception check and heard your footsteps as you passed the doorway but didn't get a visual on you

Hearing the operator call for his friend, Taylor decides he's pushed his luck far enough.  He keeps walking down the corridor to the door at the end.  He knows once he's past that he can sprint to the emergency exit.

The operator's are still looking at their screen, what ever is "fucked" probably the camera's he's tweaked.  Not interested in finding out for sure he quickly disables the alarm on the fire bar for the last door.  Keeping as calm as he can as he waltzes past the Signals room, as soon as the last door closes behind him he bolts for the fire exits and slams into it at full, if not somewhat feeble, force.

He explodes out of the building and quickly heads towards the crowd to disappear into while rebooting his Persona.  Once back online he sends a message to Victoria and Winston <<<Well that was fun wasn't it?  Next time I should plan for that a bit more.  Winston, run ahead and keep an eye on Mum for me, let me know what's going on around the house.>>>.

Taylor will wait until he's sure he's clear of the building before sending a message to his mother.

Bex looks up a bit startled, obviously deeply engrossed in her AR window.
She closes it and kicks the spare chair a few inches out from under the small table and smiles at you, engaging in the usual small talk to make it look normal to the other cafe visitors.
Hi! nice to see you again, how are you? I love your hair by the way!

Ena beams at Bex and takes her seat

"Thanks!  I like what you've done with yours too!   Did you find a new stylist?  Or just trying out something different?"

Nothing special to see here everyone, just two old friends meeting up, one of them warming herself back up with a nice hot drink.

@Zwei_____
A shout erupts behind you as the door slams shut and you set off running, your footfall pounding against the metal grill of the fire escape. You're plunged into darkness for a second as the fire escape door slams shut behind you and then a bright searing light clicks on as the emergency lighting activates and guides you up towards the emergency exit. The sound of footfall and shouting in the corridor behind you drives you on, and you head up the steps and burst back up into daylight, appearing in the thick of a large crowd of pissed off protesters who are mildly stunned by the mechanical door opening and revealing your bemused form from below the street level.
Winston nods at your command and disappears into the ether, taking forever to get back a sitrep for you.
Sneaking roll at +6 for the heavy crowd around you

@Profgast_____
Aww, thanks. Yep I've got this new colourist and she's done it a bit different. Glad you like it!
So, how's work been recently? I might have something for you on the freelance side of things if you're still looking?

A young waitress brings over your drink and a complimentary biscuit and asks if you'd like to order any food.
Bex orders a ham and cheese toasty and looks at you with an "i'll pay for it" kind of look.

@Lumen________
The chat in the changing room is bouyant, most of the gents talking about big functions and work do's coming up, balls and corporate-hosted reception nights and the such.
Most seemed to talk Renraku, the Arcology being mentioned more than once.
The cool air outside was a welcome relief, as was your more breathable clothing. the sensor suite was definitely more like armour than clothing and it had chafed around the lumbar support.
The rose and crown was a swanky pub. You'd heard of it but never been in. You couldn't think of any concealed alleys around this part of town, but you figured there'd be a service area for loading somewhere en-route. The difficulty would be getting him to go into it without too much of a scrap

@Saithor_________
She looked at you a bit daft; And what do you think they're trying to do? put you off your breakfast cereal? No, there's no-one I know is actively after it, but its a sensitive packet and it needs to be hand delivered and signed for. The usual channels can't be trusted due to its sensitivity. It must not be opened. Not by you or anyone other than the addressee. Understand?
She slid over a datachip and looked you in the eye for your acknowledgement

sorry for delay guys, busy few days!!

"Who knows, I wouldn't put it past some of the people I've met in the past. There was this one weird bloke who thought he was a serial killer from some horror series back before there were Trids. Wouldn't take off his stupid mask, and kept on prank-calling us. He had some sort of bloody voice-adjustment device. never did find out what happened to him. But either way, alright. Where, to who, and when does the package need to be delivered?" Silas said as he finished the scraps of what was left, trying not to waste a signle crumb of delicous heavenly goodness.

It's a small letter, locker 248 at King's cross's left luggage office. The datachip has the locker code on it. It needs to he delivered to the address on the datachip. It needs to go directly to Hugo Valjenov, no-one else. Hes a bigwig with the Hungarian arm of the Vory. Lovely people, don't fuck with them and don't ask stupid questions. Just deliver the letter and get a signature from him to say it's been received. Get there by 5pm at the absolute latest. Call me as soon as you get done alright?

"Jolly good timing.  I don't believe I've had the pleasure.  Lead the way old boy."  Knives gestures, hoping they'll be walking.  *Alright now I just gotta keep my eyes peeled for an opportunity to have our little chat.  Let's have a good look at him. I'd put a fiver down saying he's a pushover in a real fight.*  He rubs his hand across his brow piercing and quickly shifted his perception to the Astral.

Perception to look over Langdale:
Perception 6 + Intuition 4 + Visual Enhancements 3 (Wireless Bonus) = 13d6 [Mental 5+3 = 8]. 13d6.hits(5)=1

Assensing Langdale:
Assensing 2 + Intuition 4 = 6d6 [5]. 6d6.hits(5)=0.

Well fuck you too Invisiblecastle...

You head into the thick of the crowd as the workers give chase, stopping at the street level access  in awe of the size of the crowd.
Chants about fair wages, more housing and SiNless rights bounded around with banners held aloft and the heady smell of tear gas mixed with the fumes of the flares the protesters were letting off clawed at your senses.
You'd heard the usual shit on the news but you didn't expect it to make its way to the west end of London, it was far too nice around here.
You knew that was going to mean one thing and one thing only as they encroached onto corp territory; swift and brutal retribution by the 'Met.
Pushing against the flow of the crowd was like swimming through treacle and Winston's report made your efforts even more urgent;
//She doesn't seem to be moving much and isn't resting in her usual spot. I've tried through all the normal sensors in the house. She was unresponsive when called on the home node and her medical bracelet appears to be in an alarm state. I suggest you hurry. Do you wish me to call for medical help?//

@Lumen__________
Langdale stands at an average height and build, though you've seen from his swordsmanship an exceptional dexterity and natural balance. His lip had been sealed with some medic-gel which had set in its usual clear resin and was barely perceptible. Nothing stood out about him in the astral, he looked much as any mundane did.
As you scan over his body with the enhancement dialled up, you figured he wasn't obviously carrying anything lethal, though his heavy overcoat wasn't too dissimilar to yours and you knew you could easily carry blades and tasers without the pigs noticing anything at a casual glance.
His trim suit and overcoat fitted perfectly with the upper-crust gentry background you'd skimmed and its colours flittered between cool business greys and autumnal shades as it's sensors picked up the overhanging oak trees in their decidual semi-leafless forms above you.
He shook your hand and said "Don't worry about it, I've had worse knocks! these things happen."
He turned to lead and strode on up the pathway, skillfully dodging a stressed looking mother with a double pram full of fat-looking twins before addressing you:
So, Marines eh? What regiment? My cousin was in the Marines; Commando... Bloody good chap but got his leg blown off in Prague. Tough old bugger... Got a new one made and carried right back on fighting the next week!

"Thank you but this is plenty."

As the waitress walks away Ena turns back to Bex.

"Definitely interested in some work right now, though of course it does depend on what I'll be doing.  If it's another one of those 'dress up like a mascot outside of Harrod's' situations again I may have to reconsider…"

She smiled a genuine smile and lowered the volume of her voice, leaning in to account for the loss.
Its an extended trip away. Job is up north, I'm putting a team together and I need some eyes-on before we go live. Simple job first of all, just an aerial sweep to get the lay of the land. It is absolutely imperative you don't get rumbled. There's a few hundred quid in it for you and we'll cover the mileage as usual. Depending on what you find or don't find, we may need you to head up the team for an infiltration on the target, obvs that'll be better cash. Interested?

"Merseysprawl?  Or further north?  Either way I'm definitely interested."

Could give me an excuse to see Evan face to face on the way out.  See how he's holding up

Further than that, up at the top end of the Pennines. There's a brief on the chip, but frankly it's vague. Most of the area was abandoned after the crash.
The area we're interested in used to be an old barracks and tank gunnery range for the army, but it hasn't been mapped in years. Most of that area is off-grid, we know some of the old villages had been reclaimed by varying groups but solid data is damned hard to get. There no decent trip connection and anything up there will have to make its own power and draw its own drinking water. We need a sweep of everything within 2miles north and south of the old A66; starting at the barracks and running for 5 miles. Don't speak to the locals unless you absolutely have to and don't let on about your activities if you get questioned. Questions?

"Off-grid and isolated huh? Sounds like I may have to do some specialized shopping before heading out.  Signal Boosters, supplies and the like.  I assume there is at least half-decent roads around the area?  Otherwise there might be major complications"

Ena makes a mental note to pull up maps of the area, and definitely talk to Evan for any tips, and then starts assembling a shopping list of things she'll need to acquire.
