"Ohthankyousoverymuch!  I promise I'm just going to finish my assignment and be out of your hair!"

Ena made a show of scrambling around inside the van a bit before coming up with a credstick which she slotted into her commlink briefly before passing it over.

"You've been ever so helpful!

Silas put his comn back into his coat and set out for Frankfurt 1. He and Callie had been played for fools, but at least he was alive, and if this didnt convince Callie he was still good, he didn't know what would. As was, he'd be needing quite a bit of sleep to take care of all of the vitality his magic had sapped from him.

He continued to hold her hand as long as the Sisters would allow him to, his heart leaping with the prospect of his mother recovering.  Even knowing that he had a meet later tonight, he couldn't really concentrate on that.  Winston could detect his anxiety and excitement through their shared link, but these types of reactions were more of the meat and made less sense to him.  He still kept alert looking for anything that could have gone wrong.

She shakes her head and wipes a mucky and battered comm over yours, taking the payment. She gestured to her pal and idled the bikes back around before taking off in the direction they came from, leaving you alone on the road again.
The co-ords showed you still had another 20 or so miles to go, probably about 30-40 mins drive at a safe pace

@Zwei_________
eventually the flickers turned into action, her hand gripped yours meaningfully and her eyes began to open.
The increase in heart rate and cardiac output brought the nursing team down and soon after, the friendly registrar you'd met yesterday.
She began to scan the room with a partially open eye, mumbling something incoherent through a half-open mouth.
The registrar took notes frantically in an AR terminal before heading round to the side of her bed, grabbing her less active arm.
Excuse me ma'am, please can you squeeze my hand?
The sister tapped you on the shoulder and motioned for you to step away from the table.
This is a good sign love, she's presenting fairly normally. usually have a bit of weakness down one side, but it normally gets a bit better with some physio.
The registrar was very thorough and your mum seemed keen to co-operate, doing as she was told before locking eyes with you, groaning something you couldn't understand with her good arm outstretched.

@Lumen_________
A chorus of shouts of agreement fired up in the small van and Pete, the driver, opened the throttle easing up through the old chain link before keeping a tight tail on Tank's van.
It was only a short ride down to the docklands, just the other side of the "border" of the two faction's territory really, and within five minutes you were there.
Tank's van careened off the road slightly too early for the official checkpoint into the docks and it took a split second to see why; they blasted through the rusty chain fence as two large panels tore down under the assault of the vans and Pete opened the throttle, punching for the same gap Tank's lot had created. Your adrenaline burned in your veins as you tore down through a series of rusty and decrepit cranes, seeing a bunch of 30 or so dockers unloading a strangely familiar craft moored up at the dockside. They looked startled at the squealing of tires as your two vans pulled up, as did the suited and booted Maxwell guards on the deck of the boat and by the lorry the stuff on the dockside was being loaded into.
Roll for initiative please!

As you set off walking under your invisbility spell, a couple more thuds emanate from the rear of the warehouse you left, shortly followed by the screeching of tires and a wooshing dustcloud being kicked up by the SUV's as they leave, racing up the road in far too low-a-gear in a rush to get back on to the main drag.
You take a second to prop up against a rusty sign and catch your breath, the effort of the day beginning to catch up with you.
As you ran through stuff in your mind, it just didn't add up, Callie had been a total bitch, well out of character, and what was more, you'd then been asked to meet her at a previously used safehouse, which ran contrary to your usual mode of operating with her. The wobble in her voice on the last comm came back to you, somehow when you thought it through, it all seemed to click into place... Callie probably wasn't acting entirely under her own influence...

@Lumen________
The doors slid open at Pete's command and disgorged the two teams, Tank's lot heading down to the dockers with their weapons drawn, shouting as they charged. You had probably 20 or so metres to get the to the gangplank and your position at the front of the van meant you disembarked first.
Maxwell goon on bridge is surprised and can't act against you,
all your team will do this pass is disembark and move toward the ship whilst readying weapons
You're up with the first action

Ena waits a few beats as the group departs then takes a deep breath.

Well, that could have gone worse.  Don't have to worry about them until later I hope.

With that she takes the Bulldog back into drive and heads down the road, pausing only to deploy her FlySpy.

FlySpy and Flying Eye are both flank the Bulldog on either side from above and provide extra eyes and ears.  Both are running off of Redline's RCC and sharing a Rating 2 Clearsight[/color]

As the van squeals to a stop and the doors fly open Knives leaps out into action.  His trusty combat knives already in hand down by his sides and glowing a dull blue, he dashes off towards the dumbfounded goon on the gangplank.  *Take em out hard and fast, set a good example for the lads.*  Closing in Knives thrusts upward with his blades in an effort to shove them clear up under his target's rib cage and into squishy bleedy bits.

Free Action: Run.  Run speed is 28 meters.
Complex Action: Melee Attack.  Charging and using Two-Weapon Style Attack(+1 Accuracy and Damage)
Blades 8 + Agility 7 + Charging 2 + Foci 2 = 19d6[8].  19d6.hits(5)=6
Damage 8P, AP -3

Silas sighed and rubbed at his eyes with his hands, kneading his brow as he tried to force himself to think. Blast, but he hated having this sort of stuff happen. You'd think occasionally even the simple jobs would turn out to be simple as well. He didn't know the intentions of whoever was pressuring or even threatening Callie, but one thing he wasn't doing was just walking into it like a half-mad idiot. Sighing, he walked a couple of blocks to a semi-safe spot, and dropped his invisibility spell, and got to work. It wasn't a summoning circle, but that was just a way to better concentrate, and he begin to recite Latin. He didn't want something big, not with him doing this in a public place and as tired as he was, and he went for something small. Small lines appeared beneath him as his magic went out in search of the spirit and seized upon it. The lines of power burned beneath him, thankfully dim thanks to the small power of his target. His chanting grew a little faster as he neared the end of the ritual. As he finished, the spirit coalesced into a small human made of air, a small grin on it's face. The little thing was much like it's brethren, one that loved humor. Silas communicated it through the astral Go to this location, and scout everywhere surrondig it for exactly one-half of a kilometer. Tell me the location of every living thing in that half of a kilometer, and also the location of any weapons within that same distance. Tell me if the building is occupied, and if so, the number, species, gender and anything else you can determine about the occupants. If at any point you are attacked, immediatly return. And then he sent the little spirit the location of the safehouse, and watched as the little sprite dissapeared off of the material plane and left to complete it's task.

@Saithor__________
The spirit shimmered into existence, its wispy outline bowing to your command before returning to astral space to complete your command.
It took what seemed like forever to complete, but when it shimmied back into the material plane it was clear that things had not gone well for Callie.
The building you specified is currently occupied by 5 people. One has the gift as you do, 3 do not. 2 were armed, one with a blade, one with a handheld gun. One is restrained and in distress. Many of the nearby buildings were densely populated and I could not count and determine their occupancy before the gifted one began to probe at me.

@Lumen__________
The guard had just enough time to yammer something into his commlink and half turn away from you before your blades found purchase, shanking into the hardest part of his concealed armour vest; throwing him unceremoniously onto the deck, his commlink skittering over the hatches.

Soak roll;
12d6.hitsopen(5,6)=10
edge used + he takes 4S and is knocked down

Two cracks of gunfire erupt from behind you and you can see tank emptying an old double-barrel into some crates where some maxwell lads had taken cover. Your lads broke cover of the vans and headed up towards the gangplank, bats, blades, tasers and allsorts drawn and at the ready.
Spinning back round to face your direction of travel, the deck was short and an open cargo hatch lay directly in front of you, on the far side of the maxwell you'd bowled over. The sound of an old hydraulic lift rising gave away that you weren't going to be alone shortly; and a flash of a figure across the bridge above you and to your left meant you knew they were beginning to move to defend their position.
As you got your bearings, it became clear that the goon was still in the game, albeit a bit worse off. He drew a taser from his inside pocket and pulled the trigger, launching a pair of darts in your direction

Fire taser: agi 3, pistols 3, laser 1, -1 wound (6d6.hits(5)=2) 2 hits
Pass one:
knives moves + attacks
Goon is knocked down and fires from supine
your team move up the gangplank
their team moves internally.
You're up again for second pass after dodge/soak

@ProfGast___________
You have to drive slowly so the pair of drones can keep up, but it at least helps to reduce the vibrations off the shitty road surface.
Thermal scans from the drones show little, except for an occasional thermal signature from 750-1000ft above you, consistent with a low power engine moving through patches of dense cloud cover.
 It stayed visible on the drone's feeds throughout your hourney, though positioning the sensor suite in such a way to catch it meant the drones rapidly lost altitude and had to slow down as they righted and generated more lift again. The pitch black became all encompassing as you drove on into the night. the beams of your headlights seemed more like the beams shone by deep-sea explorers into the murky depths than headlights on a British road.
City driving never really got dark, shit tons of neon and street lighting everywhere meant that it was almost a perpetual daytime in the main hubs. Civilisation was a long way away here though, and the clock was against you. Fatigue began to set in and the urge to take a leak before seeing to your empty stomach grew in your mind.

@Zwei____
thanks mate, it was an audio test, well guessed! :-)
What happened my love? I can't feel my left side. Did I fall?
Her speech was muffled and mutilated by her apparent lack of muscle control of the left side of her face. Her lips barely moved, gently pulled only by the actions of their right-sided counterparts.
A tear ran down her right eye, pooling in where the oxygen tubing touched her wrinkled face

"You're gonna be just fine mum.  You're in hospital now, they're taking good care of you."

Taylor chokes on his words as tears start to leak from his eyes.  He looks pleadingly at the staff for help as he's at a loss for trying to explain what happened to her as his throat tightens up with emotion.

A wicked grin spreads across Knives' face as his Tage hits the ground.  He steps forward and leans slightly to avoid the poorly aimed taser dart.  With a quick flick of the wrists the blades in his hands flip to point downward and he plunges them deep into the fallen goon's torso.

Dodge:  Reaction 7. 7d6.hits(5)=3
Edit: Zweiblumen reminded me that I get Intuition as well.
Intuition 4.  4d6.hits(5)=1  So 4 total to dodge.
Complex Action: Melee attack
Blades 8 + Agility 7 + Focus 2 = 17d6. 17d6.hits(5)=5
DV: 7P, AP -3.
