@Profgast___________
Most of the sweeps just showed endless white moorland as you battled against the frequent strong gusts. Miles away from civilisation and the omnipresent wifi and the induction charging it provided, your drone's battery was taking a real kicking. You decided to chance your last flight to the south west, and were rewarded for your efforts;
A semi-derelict farm stood proudly over a small gorge, fresh water running through at pace fed by the snows.
Its barn looked in mint condition, the patches uncovered by snow shone brightly as the corrugated steel roof bounced the sun's light back into your sensors.
A pile of what looked like construction materials sat under a blanket of snow and a lack of tracks through the white covering meant no-one had been there since last night's storm.
Cross referencing against the old aerial + satellite imagery you'd been given, only the ruins of an old farm could be seen. This had definitely been worked on since the last image was taken, some 4-5 years ago.

@Saithor_________
Yeah, look, we're sorry about how today panned out. Its been a fucking disaster from start to finish.
We need to get you out of town for a while and I'm sure callie has already mentioned that we can make it worth your while, earn whilst you're away kind-of-thing.
Job is an infiltration and recce. You'll be part of a team, we're currently building it and getting them onsite. You'll be away for at least a few days and you'll be operating off the grid, way up north. Pay is 5k a head and we'll cover transport.

@Zwei_________
Sorry man, come in, come in.
The door buzzed as the maglock disengaged and the smell of cleaning products hit your nose as you stepped into the lobby and hit the stairs.
Now then, how you holding up? Sorry to hear about your mum, anything I can do to help mate, let me know? As for the kit, that holo-terminal has been fucked for ages. Seems to have just gone really unstable recently, glitches and dumps back to OS. If you can get it running smooth again I'll owe you one!

@Lumen_______
Can't do multiple attack actions mate, so you've got another simple action to use

Damnit!  Post got eaten :(

"No worries mate."
Taylor heads up the stairs as the lift is almost always out of service anyway.  He gets to the door and hands Ralphy his slightly-less-dripping coat to hang somewhere and dry a bit.
"I'm getting along.  The nurses are taking great care of her.  She woke up for a bit yesterday but they've sedated her again.  I'll let you know if anything comes up."

He starts poking around the Trideo machine like he knows what he's about.  <<<@Winston [Mams] Hoi, come take a look at this kit for me.  Ya ken I know shite about this.  Lets see if we can get this sorted for 'im.>>> "Lemme run some code against it see what comes up.  I've got an agent that can help us sort it out.  How about a cuppa while we wait for the results?"

Mam's checking the system:
Checking the Trid (Log 6 + Comp 6 = 12): 12d6t5 7
Crazy good roll, doing that for diagnostics dunno if it's useful
Winston's fixing the system:
Checking the Trid (Hardware 6 + Level 6 = 12): 12d6t5 5

Dunno if you want me do add any dice or if you want me to have Winston use diagnostics to help me do actual repairs in which case I'd be adding the 5 dice to Mams do a hardware repair roll.  Actually, lets do that.  I'd use that roll above for the Diagnostics instead (it's the same number of dice) and use Mams' roll for getting a clue as to whats wrong.  I'll do a few repair rolls for him using Winston's roll as his bonus:
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 = 12): 12d6t5 5
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 1 = 11): 11d6t5 1 (not much help)
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 2 = 10): 10d6t5 1 (wow, hope the threshold isn't that high!  A few more just so you don't have to go back and forth)
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 3 = 9): 9d6t5 4 (better!)
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 4 = 8): 8d6t5 3
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 5 = 7): 7d6t5 2
Repairing Trid (Log 6 + HW 1 + Diag 5 - trying again 6 = 6): 6d6t5 2 (almost a glitch!)
That gets me to 18 hits which is "Hard" on the table in CRB p. 48 for difficulty.  He's got 5 dice left so if he needs to get to 24, He'll have to use his last bit of edge to get there.

Your dart found its mark this time, thudding into his chest plate
Dodge roll; : 12d6t5 4 4 hits, so you get 1 net hit

But he seems totally unfazed by its effects; 50,000v not even making his muscles twitch perceptibly.  Soak: bod 6, arm 12 + 6 non conduct: 24d6t5 11
You figured he must be wearing insulated armour or have some fancy skin mods. Every other fucker you hit went down and stayed down after a hit like that.
He grinned an evil grin and returned the favour, lashing out with a vicious blow with a short blade directed at your centre of mass
: 14d6t5 4 4 hits, Damage 10, AP1

Jackpot.

Unfortunately, because of power limitations, Ena didn't want to chance another flyby of the area but she did opt for a last long look as she took the Flyspy on its return approach.  No doubt the amount of information she could glean would be limited but this was definitely the target. She also made sure to mentally drop an ARO on her best aerial map of the location.

With the Flyspy returned, she quickly compiled the files and uploaded another info dump to Bex, hoping that it would be enough, before making preparations to head back down the road.

Last Sensor Sweep: 13d6t5 6 limited due to Sensor to 4 hits. Let me know if you want me to roll something else for recovery.

Reaction 7 +  Intuition 4 + Combat Sense 2 = 13d6. Dodge: 13d6t5 5

Knives spins narrowly avoiding the oncoming blade.  With a few quick steps he moves around his opponent and tries to bury his knife in between the shoulder blades.

Blades 8 + Agility 9 + Focus 2 = 19d6.  Staby stab: 19d6t5 7

Seeing his thrust parried so easily, he switches to a defensive stance; pirouetting on the spot.
You could make out more of his greyish complexion, a total lack of any beard or stubble and a waxy-like sheen to his palid skin.
Your blades clashed in mid-air, resonating with a beautiful tone, then grinding against one another as your momentum carried the blade back into a lock.
burn 5 ini to do a parry defence;
: 18d6t5 8 parries the attack successfully but your blades are now locked; BOD + STR[3] to resist knockdown/[4] to inflict it on your opponent

@Saithor__________
Yeah, we're still working on the details, you won't be heading up until Monday at the earliest. I'll forward over whatever intel we get from the recce asset in the meantime. Give me a commcode and i'll organise a VR meet on a secure host to go over the details.

@Profgast__________
You do your best to maintain a solid sensor lock on the buildings but aren't particularly surprised by the lack of new information gained at your altitude.
There are no obvious heat sources from any of the buildings on thermal scans and you're too high to get a decent reading on motion scanners. The gusty wind defeats your attempts to listen for anything out of the ordinary but you do make out a few posts along a small section of nearby embankment which you assume mark the boundaries of the access track, currently submerged in the snow.
As you bank around to return to the van, the angulation change of the land reveals a smattering of outbuildings downhill from the main building. Most look fucked to put it politley, but two look as if they've seen recent repairs and a stack of snow-covered jerry cans next to one of them raises suspicions about the presence of a generator.
You settle the tiny drone down next to the van deftly on its emergency power supplies and head back out into the blustery frozen day.
The wind assaults you and thoroughly chills you to the bone in the short time it takes to retrieve it, and you're not surprised by the temp on the AR dash reading a frigid -6 degrees.
Rubbing your hands together for heat, you initiate a satellite connection to your MSP and battle through a noisy, laggy connection to upload the data.
After multiple dropped connections, you finally get the package through and a reply from Bex;
//Looks promising. Too new to be a coincidence. Get in closer and see if you can get me a feed on the front of the building and a full 360 close-up on those outbuildings//

@Zwei_______
Winston barks happily, appearing in AR beside the Trid and sniffing at it curiously.
He paces up and down before disappearing, merging into the Trid's icon.
for me, diagnostics is absolutely perfect for this, you're using resonance to get inside the machine and diagnose any faults, assisting you with knowledge on how to fix it. perfect choice and excellent roll!
Its not long before Winston returns his report;
//Faulty memory sector found in 0000x45Dt7778//<<Corrupt code embedded. Access privileges unusual; Device camera and microphone capture rights granted, diagnostic reporting channel broadcast granted (incorrect route specified for manufacturer's diagnostic team). Suspect Malware as probable cause. Terminate?
If you want to investigate the code more, have him copy files to quarantined folder or if you want him to just blast it, then your repair roll stands and is successful.

"Oi, there's yer problem mate.  Stop goin' to those crappy porn sites and this won't happen."  Taylor pulls up an AR representation of the malware.  Gesturing at it he says, "I'll make a safe copy of it and figure out exactly what it's doing and maybe even whodunit for ye."

He takes out a datastick and slots it in the trid for Winston to copy the data to.  They'll analyze it when they get home.
Definitely track it down.  More data the better :)  Want another roll for the copy? And if so, which one?

Ena makes a face as Bex's message plays across her field of view.

Doesn't ask for much does she?

//Redline||@Bex//<<I'll try to get you a closer look but no promises given current weather conditions.>>

Ena appends a brief weather summary with the message and sends it off, not bothering to wait for a response to check on the charge-time remaining on the just retrieved Flyspy.

Don't fancy trying a flight with the Flying eye in this weather but if worst comes to worst I can probably use the Vision Mag that is has and get something out of it…

<<Its not optional. If it takes a day or 6weeks to get that view, I want it.>>
The Fly-spy only had about 50% charge on it with another hour to get to 100%. You knew you'd be able to quickly get a flight done and get out if you got nearer yourself and hand-launched it, rather than having to account for the flight-time to the target from your position.

@Lumen_______
The thing growled and snarled as you hurled it backwards, smacking its head loudly against the metalwork.
It uttered something as it hauled itself to its feet and vanished from view.

No problems, rest up and keep a low profile. we'll get you on the job as soon as we've got confirmation on the target. In the meantime, Order anything you need to this address and we'll route it on securely via courier. Password will be "frosty". Don't accept anything from anyone that can't verify first.
She smiled and spoke about some mutual friends with Callie for a few minutes before making her excuses and leaving.
Callie looked beat and she faffed with the medkit half-heartedly, mentally putting it off till tomorrow.
righto, you're on full downtime. You get full edge refresh and have chance to heal up fully. I'll get the mission rolling as soon as possible

@Zwei________
Haha, don't go on this for that stuff mate. You think i'm fucking daft or what? The Mrs would kill me! He smiled and patted his personal commlink, giving you a knowing wink.
Cheers pal. Its slightly concerning I have to say, Literrally all that gets used for is watching trids and music. Still on for that grub?

Yeah, I'll have a software test to determine function please. extended software (15, 1 day) to thoroughly analyse the code to take investigation to next level. its eligible for teamwork tests too.
