Not yet in a good place for a proper update, but for RP purposes, anyone with a Strength lower than a 4 is going to have a tough time with this climb, even if conditions remain perfect.  It is far from impossible, however.  Everyone except IT should be able to do it without help.

Should have hired some Sherpas to drag your asses up the mountain.

Does the old woman look tired from the climbing?

Not really, but you are easily able to keep pace with her.  She moves with some struggle, but not significantly more than you saw on flat ground.

They're like that in real life here too.  They blow past you on mountains despite being old as dirt and basically infirm.

I know what you mean.My grandma is a tiny 90 year old Spartan woman who can probably carry more wood on her back than her 1.90 m/95 kgs grandson.

Not too surprising once you consider that they grew up doing that sort of thing every day their entire lives.  I've never once had to harvest a rice field.

I harvested some sweet potatos once in Incheon, but I was a huge baby about it and exhausted after only 4 hours.

My wife's family is from Vietnam and we travel to visit them every couple years around Chinese New Year. I don't even have to do anything and I whine like a baby about the heat and humidity. Meanwhile, they all wear long sleeve shirts and pants like it's nothing. I guess if you've lived in it long enough it stops bothering you too much.

We took my grandfather one time. He grew up on a farm. He wears shorts in 50 F degree weather and was perfectly unaffected by the heat and humidity. Again, I guess if you grew up without things like air conditioning and heating you can way more easily bear a wider range of temperature.

I suspect the same is true of hard labor - be it farming/harvesting or climbing. It's pretty amazing how spoiled we are by our technology and general mastery of our environment.

would i have been told specifically to pack for "work" or just for a meet?

I think it is because they breathe better. Living in high attitudes got their body accumulated with extra red blood cells and stuff.

The climb is simple enough that gear would be overkill.  Barring combat or inclement weather, tests aren't necessary unless you have 1 Strength, in which case, just pairing up with a stronger climber will be enough.

Of course, in case of combat or inclement weather, teamwork tests are fine.

Huh.  Didn't expect the eagle.  Good play.  Updating in a couple hours.
