Not sure what I'll be needing to roll so going to toll a few rolls out.

I really don't want a spill while riding with a magical threat around so I'm going to use a point of Edge for Close Call and negate the Glitch. I'll alter my IC post a bit to reflect this.

Active use of Assessning to determine the threat
Assensing 4 + Intuition 4
Assensing check: 8d6t5 3 hits

resist Nausea effect if it tries to get any worse... assuming this is a Body + Willpower roll
Body 2 + Willpower 4
resist Nausea: 6d6t5 3 hits

The Nausea is merely flavor.  It isn't strong enough to actually impede Yako mechanics wise.

Your Assensing roll tells you that the spirit is toxic (very out of place somewhere like Jeju-do, she would be aware), has a force lower than your magic, and has no astral signature that you recognize.

Yes.  This is my first PbP in a long time, just relearning to keep all my details straight.  I'm now surrounded by notebooks and Shadowrun books. I beg all of your patience, I will get better about it.

After your drones move, I'll update on Baro's shot at the biker and the results of your Matrix Perception roll.

Csjarret, where specifically is Kyoko going to search for a new hiding spot?  If you have the safehouses knowledge skill, it would be helpful here.  If not, a Matrix Search could be helpful in figuring something out.

Hmmm, so weaker than me, and not in a toxic domain, but would be very noticeable in the Astral, a good way to track me.

Alright, gonna try and swat this thing away. Going to cast Stunbolt and toss 10 reagents to overload the limit to 10 but keep the Force at 5, this means I'll only be resisting two drain, but if I get 6+ hits I'll be facing Physical drain.

Spellcasting 6 + Magic 5
Stunbolt Force 5: 11d6t5 1
one hit... ohh dear...  ???

OK, got a feeling I'm only going to have one shot at this so going to use Edge to use Second Chance and reroll all non successes.
10 dice without a success
Stunbolt Force 5 Second Chance re-roll: 10d6t5 0
aaaand NOTHING... so just blew 10 reagents and a point of edge for a grand total of 1 hit.

Still, I cast the spell so need to resist 2 stun drain damage.
Willpower 4 + Charisma 4
Drain resistance: 8d6t5 3 hits, no damage

well, now we know where all those Assensing rolls where coming from FML  :-[

I've just been reminded that IT's drones are packed up.  IT, you did roll initiative for them.  I should have asked earlier, but do they have any standing orders for situations like these?  Normally I would assume not, but IT is a special case and would probably have contingencies set up for situations like these.  If not, let me know and I'll move on to the second round.

Even if they operate without a simple action, they are out of range (drones) so they could not do anything interesting.

If IT was not driving they were protecting the car. Since she was driving and tried not to draw attention, they are just another set of eyes.
After this time, and 8P wow - that guy had a really scary gun. I am just glad it is the car and not IT.
Some more roles: I am posting an IC - will modify if anything unexpected happens.

I'm normally very wordy, but I decided to go with brevity for James due to the situation. James, having an emphasis on Con, is probably not a good candidate for adopting that speaking style, but there is another game I just started where I think it would fit the character perfectly to use words like they were a constrained resource.


I provided James's initiative a few posts ago in anticipation of this. It was a 25.
