Yes it seems like it will be brute force with this little time to plan.
IT will hack the commlink on the run - in a world where cars are automatic driving time can be used for more productive stuff.

Alternatively if it help she can drive rigger style - but I think this kind of stuff just draws the wrong kind of attention.

Yeah, just buy the hacking hits.  You aren't in combat and a commlink is simple enough that you're going to crack it eventually.

More complete update soon.

PS: IT should also have a look at their mage, just to verify that he is indeed a mage.
Assensing: 11d6t5 3

This one is the result of the search Flea and IT did:
http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=19377.msg347887#msg347887

I'll read it tomorrow - it took a while to dig out - lets assume that all the team knows about it. So just dig in and feel free to come up with a plan. There is this package in the customs for example we can try to figure out what it is.

Siren who is this godless contact we added back then?

Just a caution - if you are going to sneak a peep in the Astral or the Matrix, do it from a vehicle so that if they get a fix on you, you can bug out fast instead of giving up your safehouse.

Yes, I was thinking to use the time until the safe house to try and see how the place looks in the astral.

Sorry about yesterday, it was Lunar New Year here and I was up all day and night drinking with my Father-in-Law and his brothers.

IT, definitely a mage, but the aura is distorted, even for a toxic mage.  It seems as if it is being continually altered by an outside force.

Godless was an anti-theist extremist you ran into in the Matrix when searching the Cathedral and Vatican Matrix sites.

IT, give me an Assensing test for the Temple grounds.  Give me a perception test as well, visual.

Perception test looking at the temple's prisoner, specifically looking for signs of outside influence as mentioned in the IC (mind control or possession/inhabitation):
Perception 6 + Intuition 5 + Hawk Eye 1 + Specifically Looking 3 = 15 [Mental Limit 5]
Perception: 15d6t5 5
Max hits!

Unsure what exactly I'd be rolling for this, but felt it best to try and get info from multiple different methods rather than just relying on a limited number of sources.

Assensing and perception: 2#11d6t5 7 5

The fist assensing, the second perception. She is sharp as a hawk today.

Damn, nice rolls.  OK, first the obvious.  The Cathedral itself is overgrown with Awakened Ivy, preventing easy penetration into the walls.

The grounds are freely explorable, but IT is quickly aware that may not be smart.  A number of awakened potato-like plants dot the soil in the surrounding gardens and tendrils of awakened vines dangle from the trees lining the property. (Parabotany knowledge check (3) to identify.) It appears the Cathedral section of the building is open to the public 24 hours.

IT also sees 6 spirits occupying the Astral, hiding within stone statues of Renaissance-style angels.  The actual beings present in the Astral are far different in appearance; 2 are meta-humanoid but possessing six wings covered in eyes, 2 are beast-like with four faces lining their heads, and the last 2 appear to be intertwined flaming wheels covered in eyeballs.  They appear to be Air, Beast, and Fire elements respectively.  All Force 6.

Finally, IT is aware of 4 large hound-like awakened animals patrolling the grounds.

Max hits!

He genuinely seems very relaxed and unconcerned.  He has a habit of tapping his fingers on the steel table and whistling a bit, but his behavior seems totally natural.  If he is being controlled, whoever the puppetmaster is must be quite adept.

Unsure what exactly I'd be rolling for this, but felt it best to try and get info from multiple different methods rather than just relying on a limited number of sources.

It seems like it'd be more of a knowledge check on my end for your contact.

Everyone, running around in 2075 Seoul won't be very time consuming, so don't worry too much about time.  It really only matters regarding ordering special equipment or getting very hard-to-find data.  Anything else we can freely stretch or compress available time to your needs.

Reposting the results of Flea and IT's matrix excursion.

Diving into the Matrix, you sail for hours through public records and databases, cross-referencing missing persons reports with databases of the registered mudang in Korea.  Precious few mentions of Kim Eun Ah are available.  You thank the powers of the Matrix that the name is very old fashioned and relatively rare.  Digging through an encrypted feed, you manage to find a hole in the communications; a relay through an antique wired node that somehow evaded notice along the connections from what you suspect could be a host connected to the Cathedral.  You recover a list of names, untitled, but containing the list of the missing mudang you are searching for.

The list is lengthly, and none of the other names really stand out as immediately important to you... until you link them to a similar list published by the Korean Ministry of Sorcery and Shamanism.  It seems these are all names of mudang registered to lead the Chuseok ceremonies across the nation, during which they are to summon the dead back to their families for fellowship over the three day holiday.  Over half the list has turned up missing, the latest having been reported just hours ago.

Police reports all note that no signs of struggle seem to be at the scenes of most of the disappearances, with only one being the exception.  It seems the head mudang of Busan, an elven women in her late 50's, the first to go missing, left her chambers a hellscape of scorched walls, a shattered floor, and shattered windows. Witnesses responding entered the room to find a large hole blasted through the wall leading out of the Temple.  The woman's affectations, fetishes, foci, etc., were scatter about the room, still radiating magic, probably from recent use.

Social media feeds are tougher to search, as they are blowing up with the news of the mudang meant to lead the Chalyae, or Tea Rites, suddenly disappearing.  There is a growing social panic nation-wide as Chuseok draws nearer.  Police and even major corporations are pledging increased security around the homes and temples of these mudang, but so far to no avail.

Digging around files on the Sisters of His Persistent Hand nets you an unexpected source of useful information.  Buzzing around the Vatican Host is an icon in the shape of a pair of floating black sunglasses on an invisible head.  Seeing your interest in the sisterhood, it begins to pester you, annoying at first, with it's wild conspiracy theories and extreme anti-religion rhetoric, but it does mention a payload of data it was able to lift from secured Vatican servers.  With very little prodding, it is happy to share what it has found with you, and gives you an ID to contact it in the future if you need further help.

Many hours later, you manage to squeeze yourself into a particularly tight Host that shows strong signs of belonging to the very Cathedral you are casing.  Patrol IC maintain a very tight vigil, and all files in the host are locked, but you manage to lift some interesting information from a small cache of very well-hidden files that, due to their need for quick transport, could not be locked down quite as tightly.

Most files contain simple delivery orders.  One contains an order for four large, very heavy shipment from a top artisan corporation based in the Vatican; No Idle Hands Inc.  The file is vague and obviously designed to hide its source from a casual investigator.  An addendum attached reveals a complaint that while three of the packages had arrived, the fourth has been detained in customs until a duty fee is paid.  It is marked as Extremely Urgent.

A more interesting file contains a large number of very high-nuyen donations from a mix of corporations and individuals.  None of them link to anything but pseudonyms and shell corporations.  Further digging allows you to trace nearly all of them back to a single name; Renraku.  Specifically, a Renraku subsidiary based in Pyeongyang called simply Revivification Industries.  Their social feeds seem to suggest that they are largely focused on industrializing the North through a program of intensive mass production and export.

A number of media feeds from more public sources heavily blast the corporation for their heavy pollution and ongoing deforestation of the former DMZ. A great number of M1919 in particular are very focused on bringing this corporation down permanently, even having gone so far as committing acts of eco-terrorism against them.  Most teams involved in such actions have never been seen or heard from again.  News reports of Matrix attacks against them nearly all report the death of the hacker(s) involved.

They have a package in costums:

Anyone want to go and retrieve it ? It may be our way in.

Mechanically: New actions:

0. Defaulting on knowledge skill about botany (never knew there was such a knowledge skill).
para botany?: 8d6t5 2 awakened potato? probably for awakened fries;)

1. Googing parazoology according to what I seen in the astral:
matrix search para botany: 16d6t5 4

1. IT performs a matrix search about 'no idle hand', anything that may be needed to disguise as them.
Matrix search: 16d6t5 5

2. Forgery - make costumes of 'no idle hand' crosses - uniforms, name badges, cargo forms - stuff that  will make people believe we are with them.
Forgery (defaulting): 8d6t5 4

Also Siren - can you update any information recovered from the comm-link of the mage?

Hmmm, two hitches will be uniforms and a vehicle... Yako can make things that aren't really there look visible, but she doesn't have Physical or Vehicle Mask spells.

But if we can get our hands on that sorta thing, will definitely give us a foot in the door.

No magic -I think we need mundane disguises as they will see magic a mile away being mages themselves. I had a lucky forgery roll I hope it works well for us.

Magic may work on retrieving their package tough. I wouldn't expect to see many wizards in the costumes. Some security but not like in an order of magicians.

PS guys - there are a couple of more things we can do.

1. Visit the cathedral physically for a prayer, and possibly embed there a tiny micro drone.  (at least get a feeling on how much noise they have to see if we can find the emissary). IT has a micro drone, but depending what role everyone is playing Flea can also control that drone. But I do not want to send IT into the cathedral as she is a mage and may attract attention.

2. Explore the money trail this Renraku - revivification industries - if words comes out that they are behind all it their sales in Korea will suffer this is a national crisis. We may be able to blackmail them into releasing the emissary - or at least providing us with an extraction opportunity by giving us sensitive information.
(after all we only want one of the emissaries not the whole list).

3. We can probably get more allies by following the lists - the priests in Busan will be happy to know we have a link that tie them into the sisters they may be willing to chip in the extraction - giving us access to more resources and stuff.
